The sad part is that if this had literally been any other situation, Bob's advice would've worked. But unfortunately, we're dealing with supernatural shenanigans. Last season, we saw Lucas not wanting El in the party because he thought she was weird and unnecessary. And now, Mike's seemingly feeling the same way about Max. Dustin and Lucas adore her, Will is indifferent and Mike wishes she would go away. Interesting little dynamic. I felt so bad for Will. He just wants his life to go back to normal and yet these creatures keep targeting him. Poor boy.

Honestly the whole Nancy killed Barb situation wasn't really Nancy's fault considering Nancy didn't know Demogorgons even existed, now yeah it is messed up she didn't help Barb while she was bleeding or care about her in that moment, but Barb didn't even leave the house, she was just by the pool and then suddenly Demogorgon smells blood and boom, she's gone. All one big coincidence similar to that of Will's where he fell while biking, starts bleeding, and boom, he disappears, but as you get closer and closer to season 4, you'll start to realize how deep this Demogorgon story really goes

the fact that y'all are up here arguing about who nancy should be with and if she deserves them, question is do they DESERVE her? steve allowed his friends to treat her like shit and jonathan took creepy photos of her. my opinion, im team single nancy, she's still a teenager and grieving from her best friend passing and blaming herself when it's not her fault. nancy didn't know about the demogorgans until later in s1 and even if she did, she wouldn't have been able to save her anyways because at the time they didn't know how to kill or fight them. i do agree she shouldn't have blamed steve for it when it wasn't his fault either. her not loving steve back doesn't mean she's a bad person, relationships have their problems and sometimes they just don't work out.

Nancy is grieving and in season 1 she was worried about her friend. She made a connection with Jonathan through a shared experience because Will was missing like Barb was. Nancy can’t even tell Barb’s parents what happened to her. I just never thought what Nancy did was bad enough for so many people to hate her. Yeah she could have been honest to Steve but acting like she’s not worthy of being loved by Steve or Jonathan is a bit weird. I appreciate the reactions but idk it’s just odd seeing s group of guys hate on her so bad. It’s giving nice guys finish last.

It’s a mistake, but Steve and Jonathan have made those too. She’s no demon for it. Between was a Netflix Sci-fi series that got canceled. I actually enjoyed it cause of the story. It was about how all the kids and teens got trapped in the town because the lap scientists were not allowing them to leave because somehow everyone age 22 and over are dying so all the kids are orphans cause all their parents died its a dark show and also the people that are 20 and 21 are not looking forward to getting older cause their just getting closer to their death. So they isolated the town. The actress who played Sam on iCarly is in it and she's one of the real main characters, there's 3 actors from Degrassi, two girls and a guy and another familiar actor who plays with Jeanette but Netflix canceled it like they cancel almost all their other shows but it was a unique story thats never been done before so it was exciting to watch.
Calling Nancy a murderer is far-fetched because she didn't literally kill Barb but her selfishness at one moment amounted to Barb's death. It's a good thing that at least she repents for what she did. And I couldn't care less about the love triangle with her Jonathon and Steve, I think they are all better as individuals😅. I don't think people being defensive about Nancy is an issue, especially since girls and women are punished for stuff like this in real life too so it's triggering for some people. People close to me have lost friends because they turn down a guy or move on from an ex. You can call that making it too deep or people being too sensitive but at the end of the day shows evoke emotions from people because of real life issues and for some women it's just not fun to see a group of guys talking shit about this character as if she's not worthy of love simply because she made a mistake.

Max did nothing wrong but you guys are right about Mike. He misses El and is resentful because she wasn't as easily accepted as Max is where Lucas and Dustin went to Will behind Mike's back to vote on the Halloween thing. If Will knew how Mike felt he wouldn't have let it happen. Bob is working at the disadvantage of being in the dark about everything that happened last year. Billy is Max's stepbrother.
I applaud you guys trying to get thru all the seasons without somehow seeing details from the current season. Hopefully you guys can keep avoiding everything. It will definitely reward a good payoff by the time reach season 4.
Nancy was always at the top of the characters people just couldn't realize she just feel out of love with Steve and didn't want to lie to him about. If she lied to him that would make her a bad character but she didn't.
You both have your points. What Nance did to Steve was horrible. Accusing him of lacking empathy and stooping as low as to blame him to what happened to Barb. Steve was completely justified in being angry at her. That episode made me bitterly resent Nancy. It sucks how people sympathize with Nance (Which is understandable), but irrationally demonize Steve, and accuse him of being a terrible boyfriend, granted he was one pre-character development. But he was a decent one the second time around As far as Nancy herself goes, she burned a lot of bridges with me in 2x2. And it was gonna take a lot for her to rebuild the broken pedestal. Making matters worse, she managed to be completely unsympathetic in her whole plot to expose Hawkins Lab. I get you wanna give Barb’s parents closure, but Owen’s reasons for keeping things secret was completely justified as seen in season 3 when it’s revealed the Soviets have demogorgans. The whole relationship with Jonathan was a tough pill to swallow. But I grew to tolerate it I slowly started tolerating Nancy again in the last two episodes when she helped with “exorcisting” Will. And managed to get possessed Will to release Joyce, whom he was strangling by burning him with a fire poker. What really earned her my forgiveness was the act of kindness she showed Dustin at the Snow Ball. She prevented his night from ending in complete failure after losing Max to Lucas. And those other girls rudely rejected his offer. The kid was literally crying on the fucking bleachers, but she was there to help him get back on his feet. Still melts my heart today

I wasn’t a fan first couple of seasons, she was selfish beyond selfish. She abandoned barb, strung Steve along, lied to him…..her trauma, from barb dying is also her guilt. She blamed Steve for Barbs death like it was his fault she couldn’t keep her pants on. It was her choice but she tried to pin the blame on Steve. Season 3 she’s much better, season 4, I love her she got her act together and grew up. She’s not a girl anymore, she’s a full grown, badass woman. And the “learn not to judge her” comment, you’re judging them by saying that. Learn not to judge them in the fact that their opinion differs from yours. There’s two more seasons to go, their views on Nancy could completely change.

Nancy was always at the top of the characters people just couldn't realize she just feel out of love with Steve and didn't want to lie to him about. If she lied to him that would make her a bad character but she didn't.
Except she stayed with him for a year, pretending to love him. And her character only gets worse from here.

You both have your points. What Nance did to Steve was horrible. Accusing him of lacking empathy and stooping as low as to blame him to what happened to Barb. Steve was completely justified in being angry at her. That episode made me bitterly resent Nancy. It sucks how people sympathize with Nance (Which is understandable), but irrationally demonize Steve, and accuse him of being a terrible boyfriend, granted he was one pre-character development. But he was a decent one the second time around
As far as Nancy herself goes, she burned a lot of bridges with me in 2x2. And it was gonna take a lot for her to rebuild the broken pedestal. Making matters worse, she managed to be completely unsympathetic in her whole plot to expose Hawkins Lab. I get you wanna give Barb’s parents closure, but Owen’s reasons for keeping things secret was completely justified as seen in season 3 when it’s revealed the Soviets have demogorgans. The whole relationship with Jonathan was a tough pill to swallow. But I grew to tolerate it
I slowly started tolerating Nancy again in the last two episodes when she helped with “exorcisting” Will. And managed to get possessed Will to release Joyce, whom he was strangling by burning him with a fire poker. What really earned her my forgiveness was the act of kindness she showed Dustin at the Snow Ball. She prevented his night from ending in complete failure after losing Max to Lucas. And those other girls rudely rejected his offer. The kid was literally crying on the fucking bleachers, but she was there to help him get back on his feet. Still melts my heart today

The Nancy hate is horrible. Hopefully you will learn to not judge her for a being a teen with trauma and give her just as much of a break that y’all do the male characters but I guess hating on the teen girl fits for the men reacting lol I want to mute and skip the misogyny every time 🙄

I wasn’t a fan first couple of seasons, she was selfish beyond selfish. She abandoned barb, strung Steve along, lied to him…..her trauma, from barb dying is also her guilt. She blamed Steve for Barbs death like it was his fault she couldn’t keep her pants on. It was her choice but she tried to pin the blame on Steve. Season 3 she’s much better, season 4, I love her she got her act together and grew up. She’s not a girl anymore, she’s a full grown, badass woman. And the “learn not to judge her” comment, you’re judging them by saying that. Learn not to judge them in the fact that their opinion differs from yours. There’s two more seasons to go, their views on Nancy could completely change.
