I totally recommend everyone to get a standing desk. My body feels so much better when I can switch between standing and sitting when my body lets me know when to switch.

I'm not a fan of this update but I'd be more hesitant to blame Xbox despite how much I've always disliked Microsoft's lack of imagination and soul. They are carving out a direction that works for them and in many ways is now more forward thinking. Sony is purely to blame if they compromise their integrity and vision. Nintendo seem to avoid mindlessly following the crowd okay.

I agree with the comments, I'm not buying future PlayStation consoles. The PS5 will be my last PlayStation. I'm not buying, after tax and assessories, a plus $800 console! When I can save up a few $100 more and buy an entry level gaming computer. Especially since they are obviously canceling out physical media... And even dumber, porting all their exclusive games to PC eventually anyway! We have no incentive to buy a PlayStation if we know it will be on Steam within 2 years.
I feel the same. I'm an OG from the 90s. Was pc, joined console exclusively long after ps4 release and bought ps5 at release. I won't buy another console. The industry is expensive dogsh1t. They want $$$, offer very little and restrict how I want to play. Today, psn is offline - without official statement updating customers. Hacked no doubt. Nail in the coffin.
The PS5 I have now I waited two+ years to get. Mainly because it was monetarily out of reach. Now they are making them so ridiculously out of reach due to console, add ons ( both essential and non essential) games, pay to play , controlers (used to always come with 2 in the old days), on and on. It adds up to thousands for one console that will be outdated and will not be supported in a few short years. This is my last one. Sad it came to this.

The 30th anniversary bundle debacle when they could do it in store physical lines is a complete failure and that’s definitely down…. This isn’t just Sony or MS. I went to go watch Beetlejuice 2 and aside from the trailers they had commercials on the screen for 30 minutes before the movie started. I was like wtf they said the movie started at 6:30 only to trap us in the theater for 30 minutes to watch commercials.
The RUclips algorithm brought me your way for the first time and console wars bullshit at 5:36 sent me away. I have all three systems in my house (with the pro on pre-order). The concept of a “hardcore” system is nonsense, my 5-year old uses the PS5 as a Bluey playing device. Is that hardcore? The Xbox and PS5 are basically a tie. If anything the switch offers the purest gaming experience that you can’t get elsewhere.

all my games are single player only time i paid for extra stuff was in diablo 2 years years ago i don't recommend doing it for new version either if they wont let the special gear items drop then its pointless work and players should be warned only time i had a cool suit i had to pay for it unless it was single mode on diablo 1 funny stuff dont do miscro transactions...... um i thought it was common knowledge if you wait a few months after a games release .. they bring out the complete edition or the game with ALL DLC included

I did purchase the PS5 Pro. The day before, I bought the disc drive and the stand. Now, I’m trying to get ahold of the 30th Anniversary DualSense. My current PS5 will be moved to the home office because I’m NEVER getting rid of it! I beat out the bots and scalpers 4 years ago by sheer luck and now, it’s a trophy!

There needs to be laws against selling people adware (intrusive advertising software embedded in applications/games). Imagine your local reality office breaking into your house with the intent to try to sell you curtains. Yeah, this is the way we need to treat game consoles by law. Invite only. If I'm not in the store app, I'm not looking to buy a game, and I am not going to be happy about ads poping up right at start-up. I lived through the age of pop-up ads, and everyone agreed back than that they hated them. Why incur the same wrath, again, after decades of unanimous agreement that invasive ads are bad?!

Sad part is we pay out for systems we don’t really own. If you don’t update the system or the games when updates are made then you can’t play the game even though you paid out for it. Basically they still own the console and the games no matter what we pay out. Ads on any system is a garbage choice to do to consumers that have already paid out for them.

my biggest problem is like whyyy? i've already bought the game, i've bought the dlc, why do i need this constant reminder about buying the things I own??? 3:55 Mine still does this. I am playing a Ghost of Tsushima walk through on my channel and still get a wallpaper and theme music. Must not have gotten the update yet. 7:35 I actually stopped playing games with micro transactions and even online multiplayer games for this very reason. I NEVER appreciate being sold every day by a video game pimp. I am pretty much single player gamer for life even before online was a thing. Yes, I'm that old. If I ever buy a PS5 Pro it will be long down the road, maybe even after PS6 comes out. I want to see if the new generation comes with physical games or not. If not, I am moving to PC entirely because there are more options and they already went digital gaming.

I’m just gonna be honest here, but for somebody who is away more than home for work all this kind of stuff that Sony and Xbox does with ads and Leisters games in micro transactions and less campaign focus games that I don’t have to be connected online for just pushes me more and more away from Wanting to game I’ve already said numerous times that once Sony goes full digital only I’m out so I don’t know I just think they’re shooting themselves in the foot and it’s not typically a bad thing. This leaves me more money to focus on other hobbies, like pew pews or if you’re into cars like I am my next project I plan on getting a motorcycle
The DOP (Director of Photography) is the lighting person (and much more) on a movie set. Part of their job is literally to organize the lighting, and make it look natural if that's when the scene needs, but I would imagine that they would be there to advise when using AI for lighting as well. While Xbox could have some part of course, likewise with paying for online, we as consumers must refuse to accept and pay for it. I've had every PS since PS1 (yes, I'm old), and this was the first generation I said ENOUGH. So glad I did.
I'm sorry but the add thing on Xbox simply isn't true. I own both consoles and don't have a favorite, although I prefer the Xbox interface. The two handle this aspect very differently. Dont blame Xbox for Sony's decisions.
Why the hell would you show an ad for a game in hte menu for the app where most likely the person already has that dam game? There's already the news feed thing that kind of goes "based on games you own, here's some cool stuff" just use that to show at ad that you can scroll through. He's also kind of wrong, um since the PS3 we had music form the game and images from it in the square that is the icon you select to play the game so um that wasn't new. That's 2 generations old, them replacing it with ads is really stupid though. We all know MIcrosoft is inferior, by design, so it does suck when this fake Sony in California just copies them. They've kind of lost their soul. The last few showcases/state of play whatever have been trash and they had to have Capcom bail them out with Monster Hunter news so it's not a complete waste of time. Sony use to be consumer focused at their core, selling the consoles at a loss to get them in the door of your home and have you feel good about it and buy more games so they make more money in the end. This version of Sony is kind of incompetent. Look at how few first party games we have this generation and some of them are huge flops or okay but wasting their potential with bad ideas. Ghost of Yotei was a huge maybe, it was not what saved that state of play. We'll see how that game turns out but um doens't look good, with the red flags. Not the female protagonist thing, Masako was one of my favorite characters in the original, they jumped over 3 hundred years in the futrue probably just to take a huge chunk of the story to say Europeans bad. The stakes in this era of Japanese history are nothing compared to those in the original game's setting. With it being in the same century or so you could have had similar stakes with conflict between clans but this chick has no stakes so her choice to be the ghost will be hollow. Sure that seams all well and good, as long as they aren't using AI for the translations... Except um industries like this literally live on grunt work, if you go down this road your are fucked. It may start with the integration of translation but it won't end there. How the fuck are you going to enter the industry and gain experience if there's no entry level jobs to learn the ropes as you do the fucking grunt work? Mark my words, you are creating a talent crisis in the making, give it a few years or at most a decade. With silly lighting jobs, are you fucking kidding me? The Arkham games had a guy who's entire job was to make sure Batman's cape physics functioned and were a balance of dramatic and believable for every single part of those games.

You used to get free games on PS and Xbox with the subscription for online, then Sony thought it is a good idea to make you pay for online just to play the games they gave to you for free even if they are only single player. If the game is given out for free by Sony, just pay for the game so you don't have to pay Sony just to play the game.

They reverted the whole ad thing now, i believe they brought down the servers down for that reason because of the backlash instead of an update. So now it's back to what it was before.

So i got up on the 26th and i waited about an hour, the 30th Edition PS5 Pro was gone but it showed one of the controllers. But the site would not let me log in for the life of me with correct login. Said network server issue. So i did not get anything 30th Edition unfortunately. I would hope they would make more but i highly doubt it.

PS1 and PS2 emulators work on practically any old PC. You'll need a slightly better PC for PS3 emulation, but not an expensive high end system.

No the reason that your pre order for the PS5 Pro was so smooth, is because no one wants to shell out $700 with no disc drive or a stand. With realistically literally no difference from the base model.

I agree with the comments, I'm not buying future PlayStation consoles. The PS5 will be my last PlayStation. I'm not buying, after tax and assessories, a plus $800 console! When I can save up a few $100 more and buy an entry level gaming computer. Especially since they are obviously canceling out physical media... And even dumber, porting all their exclusive games to PC eventually anyway! We have no incentive to buy a PlayStation if we know it will be on Steam within 2 years.

The PS5 I have now I waited two+ years to get. Mainly because it was monetarily out of reach. Now they are making them so ridiculously out of reach due to console, add ons ( both essential and non essential) games, pay to play , controlers (used to always come with 2 in the old days), on and on. It adds up to thousands for one console that will be outdated and will not be supported in a few short years. This is my last one. Sad it came to this.

PSN has been down for over 6 hours now. Apparently Minecraft requires being signed in to PSN, what a bunch of BS. Game loads, no play menu shows up.

I did purchase the PS5 Pro. The day before, I bought the disc drive and the stand. Now, I’m trying to get ahold of the 30th Anniversary DualSense. My current PS5 will be moved to the home office because I’m NEVER getting rid of it! I beat out the bots and scalpers 4 years ago by sheer luck and now, it’s a trophy!

There needs to be laws against selling people adware (intrusive advertising software embedded in applications/games). Imagine your local reality office breaking into your house with the intent to try to sell you curtains. Yeah, this is the way we need to treat game consoles by law. Invite only. Sad part is we pay out for systems we don’t really own. If you don’t update the system or the games when updates are made then you can’t play the game even though you paid out for it. Basically they still own the console and the games no matter what we pay out. Ads on any system is a garbage choice to do to consumers that have already paid out for them.

my biggest problem is like whyyy? i've already bought the game, i've bought the dlc, why do i need this constant reminder about buying the things I own??? (like this was the case for a majority of my games)... not including blatant advertising of stuff outside the game (e.g. horizon zero dawn advert for lego horizon, and spiderman: miles morales advert for the Into the Spiderverse movie)

I’m just gonna be honest here, but for somebody who is away more than home for work all this kind of stuff that Sony and Xbox does with ads and Leisters games in micro transactions and less campaign focus games that I don’t have to be connected online for just pushes me more and more away from Wanting to game I’ve already said numerous times that once Sony goes full digital only I’m out so I don’t know I just think they’re shooting themselves in the foot and it’s not typically a bad thing. This leaves me more money to focus on other hobbies, like pew pews or if you’re into cars like I am my next project I plan on getting a motorcycle
The DOP (Director of Photography) is the lighting person (and much more) on a movie set. Part of their job is literally to organize the lighting, and make it look natural if that's when the scene needs, but I would imagine that they would be there to advise when using AI for lighting as well. While Xbox could have some part of course, likewise with paying for online, we as consumers must refuse to accept and pay for it. I've had every PS since PS1 (yes, I'm old), and this was the first generation I said ENOUGH. So glad I did.
I'm sorry but the add thing on Xbox simply isn't true. I own both consoles and don't have a favorite, although I prefer the Xbox interface. The two handle this aspect very differently. Dont blame Xbox for Sony's decisions.
Why the hell would you show an ad for a game in hte menu for the app where most likely the person already has that dam game? There's already the news feed thing that kind of goes "based on games you own, here's some cool stuff" just use that to show at ad that you can scroll through. He's also kind of wrong, um since the PS3 we had music form the game and images from it in the square that is the icon you select to play the game so um that wasn't new. That's 2 generations old, them replacing it with ads is really stupid though.
We all know MIcrosoft is inferior, by design, so it does suck when this fake Sony in California just copies them. They've kind of lost their soul. The last few showcases/state of play whatever have been trash and they had to have Capcom bail them out with Monster Hunter news so it's not a complete waste of time. Sony use to be consumer focused at their core, selling the consoles at a loss to get them in the door of your home and have you feel good about it and buy more games so they make more money in the end. This version of Sony is kind of incompetent. Look at how few first party games we have this generation and some of them are huge flops or okay but wasting their potential with bad ideas. Ghost of Yotei was a huge maybe, it was not what saved that state of play. We'll see how that game turns out but um doens't look good, with the red flags. Not the female protagonist thing, Masako was one of my favorite characters in the original, they jumped over 3 hundred years in the futrue probably just to take a huge chunk of the story to say Europeans bad. The stakes in this era of Japanese history are nothing compared to those in the original game's setting. With it being in the same century or so you could have had similar stakes with conflict between clans but this chick has no stakes so her choice to be the ghost will be hollow.
Sure that seams all well and good, as long as they aren't using AI for the translations... Except um industries like this literally live on grunt work, if you go down this road your are fucked. It may start with the integration of translation but it won't end there. How the fuck are you going to enter the industry and gain experience if there's no entry level jobs to learn the ropes as you do the fucking grunt work? The Arkham games had a guy who's entire job was to make sure Batman's cape physics functioned and were a balance of dramatic and believable for every single part of those games.

You used to get free games on PS and Xbox with the subscription for online, then Sony thought it is a good idea to make you pay for online just to play the games they gave to you for free even if they are only single player. If the game is given out for free by Sony, just pay for the game so you don't have to pay Sony just to play the game.

So i got up on the 26th and i waited about an hour, the 30th Edition PS5 Pro was gone but it showed one of the controllers. But the site would not let me log in for the life of me with correct login. Said network server issue. So i did not get anything 30th Edition unfortunately. I would hope they would make more but i highly doubt it.
