That mother is a piece of work! She has the audacity to sit up there crying and telling the story of her daughters' murders knowing she damn well played a role in it. She literally put that evil man and her odd attachment to him above her children. Not only do you make your daughters recant sexual abuse allegations (which I'm sure happened based on those creepy home videos) but you trick them into going back home after they bravely left. I am absolutely disgusted!
Right? Like I get the first part of the story and how she was a victim in getting married to him, but at some point she bore responsibility and eventually quite literally played a significant role in their ending up murdered.
The fact she also "never imagined a father to kill their daughters" is beyond me, she literally saw, heard, and experienced her own husband's abuse and she didn't think that her girls deserved a life far from that, it was about time before his abuse would be turning into something much darker. I also don't understand how her judgement would've been numbed, i would debate that it would've been INCREASED. If she's experienced his abuse and she sees him doing the same to his daughters, wouldn't she know the warning signs so she knows where it has to stop? because most victims of abusers feel more vulnerable and afraid to trust people old/new cuz of the PTSD that has been created for them.

How can a mother let her daughters return to the man who sexually assaulted them? She is also to blame for their deaths; if she hadn't forced her daughter to change their narrative, they could have lived their lives normally. But when they finally fled, Patricia simply went and gave up their daughters again. You know how insane your husband is; how could you have misled your girls into returning to the sick man?
I also want to say that Joseph is such a sweetheart; just from this interview, I can see what a wonderful person he is.

No the psychology is much deeper than that. In reality she probably feared being killed herself for trying to leave, or defend her children. What do you do in such an oppressive household when the oppressor had you trapped mentally by the age 15, and now has the only lethal weapon in the house? She was afraid, and it's likely that she thought she'd just end up back at the home, seeing that her children did when they almost escaped.

Hearing Joseph describe Amina is the kind of thing that makes me believe in love. "I wanted her to be my queen." Absolutely heartbreaking. "Monster" doesn't even begin to describe Yaser to be honest. I hope Amina and Sarah rest in peace ❤❤. I also hope that their loved ones are able to heal from this tragedy. Truly horrific. I genuinely think their Mother isn't all there mentally.From my understanding, she married Yaser when she was a teenager, I'm sure she was also a victim of violence. Im torn, because as a Mom myself, it's hard to fathom not getting my children out of a dangerous situation. I feel like I would've gotten my kids out of there long before it escalated. In most Arabic/Muslim cultures it's dishonorable for a girl to talk to, be seen with a boy that isn't her guardian or family member. What's crazy is I seen an interview she did recently, after the father and son was arrested, and she was saying the son and the uncle should be charged too because they were the ones hiding him.
