In federal prison, and now most states due to "truth in Sentencing" that's absolutely not true. Federal sentences you MUST serve 85% or more of your sentence. It can be reduced to that by good behavior, and completing all of the programs that she is ordered to complete.

This case has always felt so odd to me. I never understood why they got married, their relationship foundation prior to marriage felt very minimal. Marriage is a serious thing, you only commit if you really know the person because even then it's challenging at the best of times, but these two never had a chance. But also her mentality seems very simple, toddler-like almost, always wondered if she was on the spectrum and didnt fully comprehend the gravity of things or had ang kind of self-awareness. Because if she did surely divorce is much more convenient than murder! Honestly I wish people would stop murdering spouses and loved ones. Karma will get you no matter what.

This is not in any way an excuse for her, but I bet she married him because the idea of being the princess for the day was what appealed to her, not the actual man or marriage. I frankly have seen a LOT of women get super caught up in "their day" of being the Disney princess, and they have tunnel vision, not seeing anything at all outside of that fun event where they are the star of their own family and friend circle. The same thing happens with many regarding having a baby. They love the attention but really couldn't care less about having a child to deal with.

Profile her as someone that wasn’t punished for any wrongs she did growing up. There was no consequences for any disobedience or disrespect she displayed to her parents. She could get away with anything while disrespecting her parents and incur no consequences. She killed him without believing she’d have to take responsibility. To all of those people arguing about whether church-goers are good or bad - people everywhere are good and/or bad. But I was married to a "holy, righteous" man for most of my life. Everyone worshipped the ground he walked on and thought he could do no wrong. He was a leader in our church all of those years, and he was an excellent teacher it seemed. Only one problem - he was NOTHING he appeared or claimed to be! He skillfully lived a double life of sick perversion and evil deeds. He took my entire adult life of 37 years away from me. I was shattered. It's been 2 1/2 years and I see alot of evil in the churches that I've visited. But I have never had one day where God has failed me!! Church or Religion or Self-righteous people don't = a Holy and Just God!! People will always be evil. And those who happen to show any amount of true goodness know that they can thank the Lord for His transforming power. I hate how people deceive and manipulate, but I love how God can rescue our souls from such evil!!

I decided a long time ago, relationships are not for me - they re not good for everyone, and some people truly ARE happier and better off, being single (i wont say 'alone' cos i dont feel 'alone'). Some people might look at my life and think its sad im 'alone' but I certainly dont feel that way!

She could have married for love instead, had a child and then decided that the child is too troublesome, wakes her up at night, makes to much noise, poos, pees, etc. and then the baby would have had an accident. I tend to believe that the marriage was never consummated. They dated for over a year and I don't think she was ever really into him. It doesn't make sense that she so good of a Christian that she won't have premarital sex but that Christianity goes out the window when it comes to murder. This guy is so respectful of her wishes that he waits an entire year and then gets the I've got a headache treatment on his wedding night. Then she tells him to hang on a little longer because she's got her period. Honestly this guy was a saint and I wouldn't be surprised if that's what they argued over. I mean they were probably past blue and heading for purple by then. I think she made him think it was finally going to happen but they had to go to a national park? What excuse she used to make that make sense I'd like to hear. I think she did blindfold him and the poor guy had no clue. If he hadn't been blindfolded he would have seen what was coming and saved himself. I can't understand people who don't have the courage to do the difficult thing of facing someone and saying they want out. I'm sure someone would rather have their heart broken for a while than being killed.

I was just gobsmacked. So 'Tony' knew that they were looking for the bloke, and didn't call to say he's with them. And also saw him 'fall' off a cliff but thought to email his wife with a vague location, rather than call emergency services.

@@shademillith Her cover-up is so unbelievably awful. If she said 'my husband went out with a few of his out of state friends' and acted like she cared she probably had a better chance. Instead she lead them to the body, which probably wouldn't have been found otherwise. That said, her and Cody's phone data would probably have lead to them discovering the lie.
Hell, she probably could have lied about what happened on the mountain and said he was being reckless and actually gotten away with it. The standard is beyond a reasonable doubt, and without cameras what are they meant to do?
