@@cgaviator Great news! I bought the one by captain sim and it wasnt very good. Its great to hear that somebody is making one of the greatest aircraft of all time for msfs.
And here i thought i was going to get the ATR this weekend. But this looks just awesome too, and the sounds are amazing, even through the YT compression. Those darts scream like no ones business. But then again, i am not a fan of how military is so clunky in MFS (as irl to a good extend) due to how how the military has their own TACAN system and lack of propper AP (i know, but after a few handflown world tours in Arrows i kinda want my AP now) But that is just how these planes are. What i did notice though and may be wrong but it did seems to get light very early on takeoff and autorotate the nose? Was hard to see the speeds though. This really is going to be a hard choice. I only want 1 twin turboprop and both have their pros and cons, but this thing does look (and sound) REALLY good!
Very perceptive! The floaty nose was down to, I admit, me not retrimming having taken off just prior and slewing back to start! 😂 You caught me! As for the ATR choice, it’s very much old vs new, mod cons vs the military rough and ready low level and short field ops. I know which I would go to! 😁
@@cgaviator Haha busted. With your background i would be very surprised if your bias had been with the ATR haha. Truth is that as a plane irl i like the Transall better or in a dedicated military sim where it feels more in place. I don't think MFS has a lot of funtional Tacan stations, and depending on the region not a lot of working VOR's either. How does the Transal coop in turbulence? If it is stable enough there, handflying would be managable.
@@cgaviator Btw, maybe something you know, how do military aviation fly amongst civil stuff that flies sids and stars? We have Hercs here on ENGM and i recon they don't use those? Would they get vectored ?
@@XCougar85Xcan’t speak specifically for big jets but the military are trained for sids and stars. Used more when working from civilian airfields. And only if aircraft can follow them (ie cleared for RNAV if that’s what’s required). I’ve never had to fly a star (maybe once in the US, they love it out there as it’s a lot busier) but sids, plenty. Mostly, if traffic is light, it’s a non standard departure on requested heading or with vectors, climbing IMC or VMC above.
I loaded up MFS when it first came out but went back to XPlane fairly sharpish. This is the first thing that has tempted me to reinstall MFS . Great vid 😆 👍
I told myself I wouldn’t get invested in MSFS. Then I saw the scenery (yes, I know it should be more the flight dynamics) and I couldn’t help myself! I have XP12 and it does feel good. I just love me some eye candy! 😂
@@cgaviator I was the same way.. I think a lot of people dismiss the visual aspect as being nothing but eye candy, but there is a lot more to the flying experience than a flight model. I still use X-Plane for the Challenger 650 (I fly one for a living), but I spend 90%+ of my sim time with MSFS in VR enjoying the scenery and getting a taste of flying aircraft I will never get the chance to in the real world.

No, this is a European plane built and primarily used by France and Germany, some went to Turkey. The only non EU military that ever had them was South Africa. Hallo.

Great video, can't wait to try it. What is your camera mod please ?
No camera mod, just using TrackIR 👍🏻
Hi, as always very very excellent video, Thanks:)
Thank you!
Which Airport did you take off from? Beautiful scenery and beautiful plane!

Great flying! Congratulatons!... and a great plane as you just showed us! So Azurpoly pulled it off again after the great Fouga and TB30. ☺
Absolutely, they are doing great things!
Great presentation! Thank you! ..now, could you tell me please what set up do I need so my FS runs soooo smooth and fast like yours?? Im not much ..or at all into Computers, old school here, Thank you again.
Sure, my specs are available at the link in the description. I don’t often turn on multiplayer and keep my settings high not ultra
Looking very good , i built her in 1/72nd scale . Why didn´t i had this video before i was building this Transall. Very good job you done with the Video .
Appreciate it, thanks 🙏🏻
Jeez, what a great plane. I will find a place in the hangar for her I think... And a great review, congrats! (Subbed btw :) )
Thank you kindly, always appreciated!
Awesome aircraft indeed, its a shame that the c-130 for MSFS is nowhere as good as this.
I think MilViz is doing a C130? That’ll be the mutt’s! 😂
@@cgaviator Great news! I bought the one by captain sim and it wasnt very good. Its great to hear that somebody is making one of the greatest aircraft of all time for msfs.
Missed you Chris.
Missed you too John! 😂
Is this working for GPS flights now?
I'm sold!
Lol! Ive just found it’ll need some updates to make the navigation side of things work, but it’s still a top aircraft for me!
This looks fun
Lots! 😁
If you don't mind me asking Chris what aircraft do you pilot in real life?
Presently I’m in between jobs! 😅 But used to be Tucanos, Hawks and GR4s
Ah thank for that. When I'm I'm older I wanna be a raf pilot and fly the f35b.
@@XCougar85X lol, I’ve not tried it in bad weather yet. Though it feels very stable 👍🏻
looks very cool will get hold of this, still waiting for good C-130.
You’ll be waiting a while I think! I believe the DCS one will come first.
@@thesn00tyfox I keep forgetting MilViz is now blackbird! 🤦🏼♂️
@@pauljrix exactly! I use it to fly everywhere I used to. Great memories and very realistic!
@@cgaviator ha ha. Have you tried DCS in VR? If you've done the real thing it may not do much for you but I have to say it blew my socks off. Even given the lower res under the hood.
@@owainwright6055 I tried that way back when HTC VR first came out. It was incredible! I do dabble with VR occasionally. It’s just a little tricky with video recording.
Can the aircraft perform a simple ILS approach?
Yes 👍🏻
@@cgaviator No, it can't. Azurpoly just released a statement on the complete lack of IFR functionality.
"Structural failure in 10 seconds..." If i had the skills i would programe a little addon announcing it all the time you are in the danger zone of bending/stressing the airframes - with bonus points if you return the aircraft properly!😂- Great aircraft, great review 💙THX
I believe there are some addons with that ability. At least it tracks your g stresses! I’d always be buying the engineers beer! 😂
As always you have outdone yourself with a more than enjoyable presentation : detailed, informative with expert commentary, and it's very fun. Very very good job, that's greatly appreciated 👍. And one more aircraft in my wishlist 😅.
Thank you, kind of you to say!
Merci beaucoup! 😆 beautifull review, and thanks to Azur for giving you the plane. 👌🇨🇵🇩🇪

Love to put this in the hanger but think it'll need TDS 750 support for me to pull the trigger.
Naaaah, go old school! 😁 Can you use the TDS as a pop out screen?
@@cgaviator Good lord, no man! It’ll ruin my immersion! 🤣 it’s genuinely too far up my street to ignore either way, so I’ll definitely be grabbing it anyway.

Awesome. This 2 engines Herky is the one that operated back in the Vietnam war right?
As always, great review cg 🤙
Well, stay healthy for all of us & Safety First! ✌😊
I’m not sure who operated the C160, it’s a great bird for sure. The RAF is certainly missing a small, tactical transport. I’d sign up for sure!
No, this is a European plane built and primarily used by France and Germany, some went to Turkey. The only non EU military that ever had them was South Africa. What you're most likely thinking of is the Fairchild C-123 Provider. Other than that in Vietnam there was the C-47 before that and the Hercules afterwards.
@@spec10 Ah yeah the C-123, my fouls, it looks the same tho hehe. Thanks for correcting and sharing mate 🤙
@@cgaviator Hehe my apologize, our friend @spec10 has corrected it for me, i thought it's the one that operated back in vietnam war, it looks the same as the C-123 hehe.

Hi I'm back lol this video popped up an i got 1 question could you tell me what to push to get the cock pit lights to work like on the dash ik their is white UV an green you can switch on to see the gauges but is their a way to not use that an actually have lights to see the dash without turning the UV light or white or green that is what i have been using at night to watch my gauges but in the first video i commented on were you was flying at night was you using the UV switch or is their a different light i can switch on to see the gauges? I hope i made my question understandable. I'd ask my boyfriend but it ain't around an won't be for awhile an you made videos on this so i thought I'd just ask you.
Omg NVM you showed it in this video! AH THANKYOU THANK YOU!!! i just had to keep watching! God thank you! I kept wondering where the switches was.

Is it out yet?
Yes, they allowed me to release my ‘preview’ as it was released. Not sure if it’s filtered through to Xbox.
Hallo.
Hi, thank you so much for commenting. I don’t think many flight sim models would live up to the level of knowledge that you have! 😁 I will pass this information onto the developers and hopefully they can tweak it to be more realistic. Much appreciated 👍🏻👍🏻

This looks similar to the c-123 provider
Yes, someone just mentioned that bird 👍🏻
That is very cool. Just wish someone could do something similar for the C-130H rather than the rubbish from Captain Scam. Soon.... surely?
Hmmm.. I think MilViz was hinting at C130. Also a C130 for DCS I think. But not for a long while I reckon.
msfs 2020 need to sort out there propeller animations.
It could be a lot smoother for sure. I wonder if there’s a trade off with processing different rpm’s during start. I know from basic modelling that each texture is different and it needs to blend together. All above my pay grade at any rate!
@@cgaviator yeah I was a bit disappointed with the atr 72 propeller animation I feel like they need to blur the whole thing and not make it look like a video
@@everythingrc5652 I guess it may be like recording it with a camera, the camera records at a certain fps, sometimes you can get odd effects because of it. Hey ho, imagine MSFS 2030! 😁
