  • The Transall C-160, commonly known as the C-160, or simply Transall, is a very popular NATO light military transport aircraft, produced by a joint venture between France and Germany. The C-160 made its first flight on February 25, 1963, officially launched in 1967, was mass produced between 1965 and 1985 with a total of 214 units.

    It is being replaced by newer aircraft by most users. But they still are a very useful.

    I would love to see an outline profile of the c160 vs the c130 to compare actual sizes.

    Why does Germany like the 2-engine airplanes? I think 4 engines is a better choice, just in case you have a malfunction. But like the Airbus, the 2 engine is massively popular.

      4 engines is twice as much maintenance and fuel cost, and more engines can actually be more unsafe in the event of an engine out. this thing produces 12,000HP of thrust, should be fine!
