I have triple monitor so my map is always to the side. In this video I wanted to save some editing time by doing it one take so I used OBS and a stream deck button to overlay the map real time to the video but it didn’t appear on my MSFS window while flying. A bit complicated, but in essence I did it for the viewers. I know there are some ingame apps that have a tablet map type function if you were interested in that 👍🏻
One question I have is about the Hawk T1A. I can fly it but I struggle to fly it smoothly. Is that the whole point and can you do a video about how to fly it smoothly and accurately with regard to trimming, engine power etc? In words and pictures that a Beano reader can understand?
the hawk has a bit of a buggy trim system, it's too sensitive to pitch changes and hard to get it to trim perfectly. Not really a video I can produce to fix that as even I struggle with it. You could watch my Land Any Jet video for info on pitch and power settings in the pattern. Otherwise it's all about keeping a good cross check. Perhaps I will do a Select Hold Trim video!
I was doing it from memory so I could have been off with the course though deflection should still be accurate. Can’t remember the UK limits of ILS off runway heading but it’s entirely plausible.

All the info will be on the RAF careers website. It's been a while since I went through the process. Usually it's 5 GCSEs then 2 A Levels all grade C or better. If you go through Uni first (strongly advised but optional) then you get quick promotion to Flt Lt and much better pay. Just make sure you fill your down time between semesters and after class with so team type extra curricular stuff.

Oh, and the only scenery addon was RAF Valley freeware. I do tweak the contrast and colour slightly using nvidia filters
Thanks for the quick reply, really appreciate it. I will check out everything mentioned. Keep up the excellent work. Always enjoy your videos and learn something new each time. Thanks.
How do you get the map and headings to show up in msfs2020. Is that a special app. Thanks for the great vids.
I have triple monitor so my map is always to the side. In this video I wanted to save some editing time by doing it one take so I used OBS and a stream deck button to overlay the map real time to the video but it didn’t appear on my MSFS window while flying. A bit complicated, but in essence I did it for the viewers. I know there are some ingame apps that have a tablet map type function if you were interested in that 👍🏻
I was thinking after the last C-160 video, "when's Chris going to fly through the Mach Loop in it?" 😆
Would hate to disappoint! 😁
PREEEEEESENT !
AAAAAAAND CORRECT! 😂
A question : The ILS approach didn't seem to align well with the Valley runway (IMO). Is this normal, or an inaccuracy in the C160?
I was doing it from memory so I could have been off with the course though deflection should still be accurate. Can’t remember the UK limits of ILS off runway heading but it’s entirely plausible.
Sensacional
Thanks 🙏🏻
Hi,
I have bought Azurpoly C160 yesterday from Sim Market but it does'nt work. I can't figure out what the problem is.
The on-board tablet does not turn on. The APU switch button cannot be used, the systems cannot be started. It's like a demo version. Please help me out because I like to use this program. Maybe the registration key is missing ? I have not received any. I wonder why is it not working. It was to expensive if it 's a demo version. Please give us technical advise. Many Thanks in advance 0:47
That’s a strange one. I used Orbx and didn’t have any issues. Try reinstalling? Disable antivirus while you install?
What is Orbx? I put the Flight simulator in the exceptions in the antivirus
@@cgaviatorMSFS2020 is not original. Could that be a problem?
@@kola7392 I’m not sure what you mean by not original but please don’t imply that it’s pirated!
@@cgaviator Far from it.
He's not a pirate
hi how do you show the little navmap map in the simulator
It’s not in sim sadly, it’s via my screen recording and OBS
When I'm older or wanna fly in the raf and pilot the f35b
Also Chris do you know the requirements for a pilot starting from gcses
All the info will be on the RAF careers website. It's been a while since I went through the process. Usually it's 5 GCSEs then 2 A Levels all grade C or better. If you go through Uni first (strongly advised but optional) then you get quick promotion to Flt Lt and much better pay. Just make sure you fill your down time between semesters and after class with so team type extra curricular stuff.
Thx ill try to keep that in mind 👍😊
Hi chris can you do something with the cessna tweet freware trainer when you get a chance
I haven’t tried the update, I would like to take another look, I’ll add it to the list
I know this is only a beta release but it looks like the raindrops are streaming on the inside of the front/ side windows?
Yes, a little. I’ve noticed that on a few different models I think.
V GOOD
Thanks 🙏🏻
Now here's the real question, have you flown the loop more in sim or in real life?
Chris as I understand it is an ex fast jet instructor so yes he will have flown the loop many time in the real world 😎👍
Tough call, think still maybe more in real life but it’s getting close!
hello! is best this plane or caribou? Thanks!
I haven’t flown the caribou yet. I would guess that the caribou nav systems are more functional but only a guess til the C160 systems are updated. I personally would pick this because it’s more my style.
@@cgaviator thanks!
Does the Windshield Wipers work man?
At the time, they wipe but don’t move the water. They may have updated it since then
@cgaviator I seen they added a big patch to it recently so they might now hopefully. I'm on the fence about buying this or the wilga 35/80 plane their both really good just don't know which one to go for lol.
@@tropicnight3166 crikey, they are completely different aeroplanes! 😅 Buy the one which you’d use more, you won’t be disappointed either way 👍🏻
How to capture the fuckn glidesolope(after localiser captured by radio nav button)????!!!!!
Not sure I follow?
That's a french. The Germans don't have the refueling probe.
👍🏻
How do you u get the weather change app that you click on?
Good point, I'll put a link in the description. The weather is the same, but the menu system is P42's FLOW.
@@cgaviator It’s a handy tool to use from the looks of it. Will get this C-160 as soon as I get home in a weeks time looks great….
nice video!
Thanks. Kept it fairly simple with the editing on this one
Although strictly an ameteure and a rule breaker (all of them),I do like to use radio but do wish Asobo or whomever deals wiyh it,would get the British terminology sorted.I assume flight following is equivalent to our basic service.I have complained on the microsoft ticket site but so far to no avail.................................
Flight following would be Traffic Service I think. Basic service is a very low priority and wouldn't work in busy airspace around large airfields in the US.
@@cgaviator I was refering to the terminology used in the UK with particular reference to your statement regarding how we tend to fly in familiar surroundings.I tend to fly out of EGLF or EGHI as they're my two closest airports......................
TACAN won't do anything unless you are flying to a carrier or a tanker.
Eh? The TACAN is bugged and should pick up the ground navaids. Update inbound.
@@cgaviator TACAN is a portable beacon, only for tankers and carriers. Well, maybe for other spook shit as well, it's very highly classified since the codes for each instance track back to very high value targets.
@@JasonSnow-zq2ve I think you may have it confused. Tactical Air Navigation is just the military equivalent of a VOR though is can be used on Carriers and Refuellers. They’re listed on most aeronautical charts and can be used by anyone with the right kit to tune them 👍🏻
Are the wipers operational?
Trying to remember. Yes I believe so, but I don’t think they move the water. They may have updated it since.
@@cgaviator ty for the response. I have the same plane and struggling locating all the switches.
@@Mimiclobster think the manual is reasonable. Took me a while but once you know it’s easy! 😂
I heard this plane is awful, not working autopilot , problems with flight plan and other crap and that keeps me away from buying that. And no recent reviews on youtube.
It’s one of the most enjoyable aircraft out there. Very versatile. They’ve since updated it though I can’t tell you how much extra detail is in there. It’s probably in my top 3, definitely top 5 fav models 👍🏻
This is a beautiful plane i fly it everywhere everyday! I have gotten so used to it i can't fly anything else anymore lmao
I can imagine, it does everything you’d want from an aeroplane. Aside from the go fast thing! 😁
@@cgaviator oh yes definitely my boyfriend is a marine an he is the one who taught me all the buttons an stuff an how to start it from a cold start an then taught how to fly it an i was like omg it flys so smooth an perfect an since then i literally can not control anything else i tried to fly on 320Neo last night crash 2 miles off the runway smh i couldn't remember how to work it an it was way more touchy then the 160 so i went to try the Boeing an crashed before i even got to the runway i was like my god what is going on so i said F it an went back to the 160 an flew around fort Campbell for a bit i was like yep this my new bae lol
Oh an the rumble it makes when outside the cockpit i love it as well so i fly both inside an outside the cockpit.
@@mine-tantrumgirl absolutely. New planes are too automated. I like having the control and telling it what to do directly. It’s predictable!
@@cgaviator yes agreed! 100% 💓
Used to like going to Llanbedr from Vy. A good day out from VY.
