Rob stands so still he looks like a cardboard cutout. You guys are hysterical. I love your channel and rudesk wit. I watched originally for the sewing videos. But now I just enjoy you. I hope in the future you get a tv show. Love from Cincinnati.Ohio.
Thank you both so much. Because I am really not feeling Christmas. Our church may be going virtual for the Christmas Eve service. Sigh. I've never actually made eggnog from scratch. Thanks for the inspiration. Peace. - Cathy (&, accidently, Steve), Ottawa/Bytown/Pimisi
Oh!!!! I just LOVE the two of you together! Well, you already know that, since I comment that on all your videos 😂 But really: thank you! Love from Janne in Norway 🤩
😂thank you Mary! You know, I missed an opportunity in this vid to say how much I was against egg nog before this recipe. I was soooooo not going to drink whipped eggs! If you can bring yourself to try it, it’s like dessert in a glass 💗
Thank you both so much 😍 Yum!!!!! I’ve never made eggnog but I will be now! Have whipping cream on n the fridge that I had no use for. I do now! Merry Christmas 💕
@@handmadeharriells I made it tonight for my family. We absolutely LOVED it! I made the entire batch without alcohol. I then split it in half. Half I added Johnny Walker, the other half I added vanilla essence for the non drinkers. HOLY COW!! Your GrandDaddy created a delicious recipe which will now be passed down my family in Australia 💕 merry Christmas guys x
Hahaha! I’m not exactly sure what it is. Rob’s best friend gave it to him, it doesn’t play very well but it makes up for that with its out-of-the-ordinary looks 💃🏽
Rob had so much trouble making eye contact after he noticed the star on your head 😆😆😆 You guys are such fun! My 12yo loves eggnog so I'll definitely be making this- sans the alcohol for her. Got a funny story on this subject- we bought some store bought eggnog recently and it was in the fridge next to buttermilk, half and half, heavy cream... All the stuff for Christmas baking. The eggnog is in a plastic half gallon container... And so is everything else. It has red, scrolling writing on the container. My daughter asked to have some and my mom told her to go get some from the fridge. A little while later, she walks up to me with the unopened egg nog and asks me to open it (she just got her nails done). She then tells that she thinks the egg nog in the container with green, scrolling writing has gone bad or something. My mom and I frowned as I opened the container and I told her that I didn't buy any with green writing on it- maybe her grandfather had. Later I went to put something in the fridge and noticed the buttermilk was in a half gallon jug with green, scrolling letters on it. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I told her that the egg nog had not gone sour, but she might need to learn to read again.
@@handmadeharriells no, lol. She poured herself a small glass, not thinking to question it (or apparently read the carton). She took a good gulp and dumped it out, thinking it had gone bad, and then rinsed her mouth. 🤣🤣🤣 She got so mad at me for laughing at her. But she got over it and now whenever she goes to the fridge, she announces "I'm getting some eggnog, not the buttermilk."
Love you two and your hilariously comical banter. Please be assured we'll make your Granddaddy's egg nog recipe though we’ll substitute Bourbon for a favourite Scottish single malt whiskey. So it won't really be your southern recipe but a new Southern English recipe. We may even make a first video of us whisking it up. We'll see.😉🇬🇧🇺🇸
Noggingly commenting: my pal makes nog with a combination of brandy, rum, and grand marnier -- but swaps out triple sec for the flavor at a fraction of the cost.
That sounds great. My mind went "do we really need to be taught how to separate eggs?" And then I figured, you know what, if someone hasn't been taught how to do that since childhood, that's actually a really neat trick to demonstrate. :-) So thanks for being so thoughtful with your demonstrations - even if I did not need this one.

Tried your Granddaddy's eggnog recipe and it was AMAZING! I drank all for 4 serving by myself. Thank you for the video. Put a smile on my face.
That's AWESOME! We're both so glad to hear that!!
I hate egg nog, but love y’all. You put on such informative, entertaining and fun video.

Egg nog is so yummy, I tend to use spiced rum! So very good!
that's lovely to hear, Karen. Toasting you with a little rum!
Love the dark hair look you, but should have been carded before you were given alcohol.
🤣 CHARMER!!!
You both look fantastic!
Wait. What? On the mantel. Is that a twelve string tenor guitar or a uke on steroids?

As a non drinker have you ever tried a coffee flavored alcohol in the egg nog recipe to make it an "egg nog lait" so to speak.
Well, right after we finished our glass from the video, Rob said "we have to have this in our coffee tomorrow morning." It was deeeee-lish. So, yes!
I LOVE IT!! YOU BOTH ARE AMAZING!!
Thank you!!!
You made me laugh so loud that my husband came in to find out what was going on!
HAHAHAHAH I love that!!
Delicious Egg violence, I will do this for my family for dinner this Christmas! They never see me coming! Thanks for sharing.
HAHAHA EGG VIOLENCE! That’s what we should have named this video 😂 let us know how they like it!
@@handmadeharriells I will! (I'm totally open to consultations about the naming of videos)

oooooof buttermilk! Rob and his mom drink it straight (on purpose) and I cannot get behind it 🤣 did she sample it or just take a whiff??

🤣 that part might be the editor's fault, she got a little drunk on speed ramping there...

As always appreciate the recipe in the comments! Looks super tasty. May have to try it with a but of brandy.
Home made egg nog is the best, so rich and creamy!
So entertaining, as ever!!🥂❤️🎄

Oooooo that’s a heady nog! I feel like we need to add to ours now….we’ve got some grand marnier handy…
I love watching you two (aka Yall), at 72 egg nog has never passed my lips but this may make it. Looked great!
Oh I promise y’all 😉will LOVE it….I didn’t try it till I met Rob and now I can’t go a holiday without it.

I just love watching the 2 of you interact, always gives me a lift.

That recipe sounds delicious! And the red ceramic tree in the background is perfection.
Isn’t it GREAT?! My Nan had a teeny green tree she’d pull out every Christmas, when I saw this one I had to have it.
