This database will contain download links for macOS 13 full Installer pkg files (InstallAssistant.pkg). This file is the same full installer that you would download directly from the App Store for Intel and Apple Silicon M1 Mac Computers. The InstallAssistant.pkg is stored on Apple's servers and contains the full "Install macOS.app". Once downloaded, all you need to do is install the pkg and the full installer of macOS will be in your applications folder. This change was made when Apple revised the full installer for Big Sur. The InstallAssistant.pkg is not available for Catalina or Mojave.

Even though I've made a clean install of macOS many times, I always learn something new from watching your videos.
Recently I had to reinstall different versions of macOS to an older Mac mini late 2014 in order to fix its Bluetooth and find one that works with an external USB Bluetooth dongle.
It never occurred to me to drag and drop the createinstallmedia and the USB drive to Terminal before (even though I have been doing that with other file types).
The whole time I was manually typing/pasting the different commands for each macOS version 😅

I just restored a couple old 2013 21.5” iMac’s by adding a new SSD internal Hard drive & added the max amount of ram (to 16gb) and these iMac’s are running like new.
But because they are both old they can’t run past macOS Catalina 10.15.7.
But now I found your channel😊
As long as I watch & listen, review what your showing & saying, I’ll stop the video to do your step by step instructions & I see what you say so I’m gonna try this.

Unfortunately, I cannot determine if my two mid-2014 Macbook Pros are supported. I simply can't find "Intel Iris Pro" and "Nivida GeForce 750M" in the list of supported or unsupported GPUs, or am I reading the list wrong. I will be glad if someone could help with this problem.

Hey Mr Mac, so I followed all the usual steps!
1.Downloaded Mac Ventura 13.1 via opencore!
2.formatted the usb via Disk Utility
3. Opencore then installed Mac to Usb along with OpenCorePatcher
4. I then restarted using OPTION key
5.booted from USB
6. However when I got to the loading I ended up with the recovery page where Apple was asking me to select a recovery disk, no further option to boot into ventura! I tried this process 2ce with no success.
Any time Ive followed the steps in the past its all worked perfect, this is the first time im having some issues! Any tips would be appreciated.

thank you again! I tried ten times to install Ventura on an external drive that has already Big Sur and Monterey. but Ventura never finished the installation! I don't understand it and sent to apple but never got an answer and on the net people talk about which HD you should buy which is stupid cos why Ventura would need a different drive that the one I got and works for Ealier OS,!

Is there a way to "Clone" the HD of a system that was updated with OpenCore (say because I'm updating to bigger/faster SSD (so I don't have to re-install all the software (especially all the open source tools I am using)? I cloned an iMac running OpenCore/Monterey (iMac 11,2) to a Mac Mini (4,1) and it was the weirdest experience when the system booted (Graphics mainly as I could not change the screen resolution).

hi I need ur I just installed the Ventura from flash drive how I can bot my iMac mini from drive not the flash drive . every time I remove flash drive giving me the folder with quotation mark .
I did use the disk but when I got to download Ventura. I was told my drive was in comparable. I have had Ventura before but no I can't. used open core before but . I even erased the drive but still in compatible.

Hello Luis! Can you paste the command? Usually an error like this means that the command has a small typo in it. The command should look like this sudo /Applications/Install\ macOS\ Ventura.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyVolume

Don’t do that if your Mac is not supported. Cause older Mac’s graphic card can’t handle Ventura and they frees. I did it and i lost all of my data Mac even erased my Timemachine backup.

I am a Novice Mac user after getting one a few weeks ago and have already done this a few times. Its actually pretty handy for upgrading systems if you are replacing the hard drive if one fails.
