  • Mack Metcalf and his '72 Dodge Charger are the latest to have help from our Driveway Rescue team. This time, Mike and Pat head out with the Nissan van filled with RockAuto.com parts and see how they can lend a hand.
    The main issues with Mack's car are the cracked dash and it's running hot. But along with the cooling system, belts, and dash, the guys also help him out with some new shocks to help it ride smoother.
    Thanks to RockAuto.com and Nissan we're able to bring the van full of parts needed to help these viewers out. Be sure to enter your vehicle for Driveway Rescue here. #RockAuto #Nissan #IntelligentMobility

    Considering it's age someone went to the junkyard and found some '73-'74 taillights and maybe that Rallye hood. It is a big block engine. It probably overheats once it gets out of the driveway and takes longer to get to work. Don't forget Rock Auto is sponsoring the segment. No problem drilling hole in t'stat. Finding parts for body of '72 is harder than the more plentiful '73-'74 models. A lot will interchange. Let's don't nitpick a daily driver.

    Some people just have to learn the hard way !!!

    • @petersouthernboy6327
      @petersouthernboy6327 5 лет назад +2

      I agree that timing chains are wear items - but it’s certainly more involved than “6-8 more bolts”. You have to drop the front of the oil pan, the front crossmember, and pull the crankshaft dampener.
