One of the coolest restomods ever...if you can even call it a restomod. It's basically an entirely new car. This is what a lot of us would do with infinite money...take our favorite car, replace anything metal with carbon fiber, use the best suspension available, and massive power. Epic.
Peugeot 205 GTi in the garage, this man knows his cars. It's one of the best handling cars ever. Like Robs presenting, genuine, no bullshit or drama, and knows what goes into these builds.
Love the fact this fella has access to such amazing cars and has a 1.9 205gti in his collection. You know he understands cars more than big power and big displacement. Great to see 👍👍
Ralph Gilles is the designer that I've always admired. From his humble background, Haitian roots, the fact that as a kid he drew sketches of cars and sended it to Chrysler Motor company and end up becoming a designer at the same company. He designed imho the finest of finest Viper. They should create a Netflix documentary of this man. Thank you Ralph! 🙌🏾
Idk, I think dodge deserves credit for somehow finding a middle ground between mass produced normal type cars to sell and keep the lights on, while still having a ton of "fun" srt cars under one roof. Not that anyone asked, but I'm not really loyal to a particular brand anymore. I used to love Audi's, but when my dad passed away, I lost all his independent mechanic contacts, and the cost of labor skyrocketed. Combine that with a car that has 110k miles, and I knew that I had to get out from under it. I traded it in and my 14 ford transit connect that I used for work and got a 20 Ford Explorer ST with a warranty to 100k
I saw this car during the Power Tour and it is simply spectacular. Seeing it close up just blows you away. Also, calling Ralph a nice guy is a vast understatement. I really enjoyed meeting him outside the hotel . He answered all my questions about the car and even asked me about mine.
Literally, and I MEAN LITERALLY, this is my dream auto. Take both kidneys, my house, my wife and the kids... This '68 is charger is the Greatest Automobile Ever Made. Sweet baby jesvs!
I'd give both testicles for that piece of art. Heck, I'm old so they don't get used much anymore. My wife has been keeping them in her purse for the last 25+ years.
This is, in my humble opinion, brilliant. Just because you can turn everything up to eleven, does not mean that it will in turn give you the best version of whatever the car can become, and certainly not the best experience it can provide. Thinking about this alone, I get the feeling that the man has great taste in cars.
The car is amazing. Ralph is one of the coolest, nicest guys I’ve ever met. He is so fast in his viper on track. He gave me tips that’s made me a better driver. No better ambassador of a brand.
Absolute dream garage right there! Ralph is a brilliant designer and has great taste in automobiles. I can't admire the design and craftsmanship of Hellucination enough!
I'm not American I'm South African i live in South Africa and thank God for this guy man built and designed the most beautiful Dodge Viper period , i love to see the Viper on video and pictures and playing it on games the way it looks everything about it is just beautiful
All the engineering that went into this car down to the minuscule details is just plain amazing. Thank you for allowing us the pleasure of witnessing such beauty.
Somebody this talented and known to say what "feeds his soul" is when he goes to Carlisle and the car clubs that are friends because of the car. That is a small show compared to most but everyone knows everyone and it's awesome. It's just fantastic he is that humble.
Just wow, this was such an amazing episode, but how amazing is it that he has some “small” alfa’s in his collection next to these big displacement cars. Love the diversity in the garage
Fantastic thing. He must have handed over a blank cheque to build that Charger. Also, the rally legends and the restomod Alfa in his garage. My god, what a collection. Great find, thanks for posting.
I live near carlisle and used to hang in parking lots there with other car guys. It started off with my first car, a primer black 69 gto with a 400, and eventually acquired a 96ish Mitsubishi gts pushing 20 lbs of boost. It's cool to see him mention it.
This is OUTCLASS. I am spechless you have done a very very great job. You have got my respect like Christian von Koenigsegg and Horacio Pagani. Keep this heat up Ralph.
Love this car. It’s not over the top, look at me with its subdued color and subtle exhaust note. It appeals to the people that truly knows what it is, an extremely well engineered car with tremendous power and a track quality suspension. Love the Alfa almost as much though.
My dad is the owner of the hypercuda if you guys get a chance creations by gemza. Didn't win the Riddler but was the only car that they could actually take and drive more than just for show like literally on the road drive it hundreds of miles no problem. A father and two sons put their heart into that vehicle
That level of rigidity from a muscle car... Of all the things that impress me about the car that is by far the most impressive. Just putting a carbon fiber body on top won't do that
I think I might love this man. My favourite Alfas (I've owned 5 - I'm poor, and they're old), an eye for detail, and a preference for actual handling and not riding like a boat.
The era of petrol cars is fading, but cars like Singer and Hellucination are something we will always admire, they remind us of the good days of petrol cars.
Top notch resto mod to the max. Attention to detail, build quality and the monster hemi. Shame about the gear shifter, which literally looks like it was scrounged from the spare parts bin at Dodge.
That Dodge Charger! Just WOW! I of course (being old) fell in love the with Charger when Bo and Luke Duke first showed it to me with it's turbine wheels, and welded doors! lol, But if I could dream up each particular piece to go into the car, this would be it! Thanks for sharing it with us, and please don't stop making video's of this dream car. It's truly one of kind, and if I ever had the choice between a Lambo, Bugatti or this piece of Mopar History this would win hands down!!!! Cheers from Canada!
I was waiting for a wheel stand lol. Man, I would love to hear it ROAR! At 65, seeing these cars still rolling, old school Muscle mixed with next Gen tech. Everything old is new again.

This!
Sounds like the perfect recipe!
That would be nice but if it was a real Charger I wouldn’t replace major body panels like the roof and quarter panels if they were fine
@@firedemon2166 what's a fake charger?
Yea i cant afford this right now. I make close to 200k a year and still cant afford it. More work to do. But one day a car like this will be mines.

There is already ... Abstract: The Art of Design, an episode of the 1st season ...
@@MrFederacer Thank you for sharing! I didn't know that it already exists. I'm glad the man got the recognition he deserves.
Netflix is trash
Agreed!
Thank you Ralph, The Viper ACR is my all time favorite car. What a weapon.
Not only is it an amazing build, but Ralph seems like one hell of a nice guy! And him raining down on the throttle at the end just made me smile.
Does it rain inside a car?
@@catamaransailor8531
Good catch. I didn't notice the auto correct. "Rein" is what I meant. I guess it could be Reign as well.
I was asking myself the question "can it drift ?" and he answered my question at the end. Made me smile too !
I personally think this is gonna be the new trend in cars over the next 10 years. Classics built with modern tech.
If Dahm is a permanent fixture of TG now I'm going to have to start watching again. The two episodes I've watched on YT have been great.
I was thinking the exact same thing! The crazy RX7 dude is now on TG? Hell yeah!
All the more reason for me to not watch the new TG
@@MikeTDFfist he was Diablo dude! Cool guy all around
Ralph you are a legend! Very nice piece of art you made there! My hats are off well done my friend!
Being a UK car guy, I usually skip a lot of these "American tuned" videos but this machine is just WOW
This car and the Gen 4 & 5 Vipers are the only dodge products I’d ever buy/own. What a beautiful machine. This is coming from a Z06 owner. Well done.
I've always wondered if those new balances would look the same if you jumped in a viper
Idk, I think dodge deserves credit for somehow finding a middle ground between mass produced normal type cars to sell and keep the lights on, while still having a ton of "fun" srt cars under one roof.

Ralph’s vision is always a sight to behold. So much detail.
Real muscle car!
But still overrated tho
@@Javierblaszczyk your mom is overrated

@@andrewhigdon8346 yes it can

That suspension looks like a dream to drive. It’s so smooth!

Hellephant reminds me of Hoonicorn. Good times watching that car being built. This is like its younger cousin

The garage looks like the "Stellantis Pantheon".
Put a couple Maseratis there. And also a Citroen DS.
Rob should host this series forever.
That Charger is so over done, yet somehow subtle too. It really is spot on.
Absolutely stunning
My Dad had a '68 RT with a 440 in it. I'd give a kidney to have that car back.
this is the exact setup i wanted for my roadrunner, but I have a family. props to this guy. love it
Man this is my dream customisation of charger.😍
A perfect beast with perfect old charger looks!
This is basically THE Dream car for me.
An exceptional tribute to all things Mopar and automotive history in it's entirety! Perfection. My new all time favorite, ever. Thanks for sharing!!!
Great content, Rob is a great representation for what it means to be an enthusiast.
ALFA ROMEO, PEUGEOT 205 GTI, AND THE LANCIA DELTA INTEGRALE.. OMG 😍😍😍👍👍👍🇬🇷🇬🇷
I love old muscle car designs.
Every car in that room is on my Want list! Ralph is truly a Car Guy.
That Charger is an easy $500-600K ride. Nearly priceless. Could go for 7-figures if someone wanted it enough.
That's very true, I think the Comedian Kevin Hart spent at least $1,000,000 Dollars on his speedkore Dodge Charger.
No one would pay them since you could make your own custom one from Spector themselves starting at $200,000
Probably the most beautiful car I have ever seen
Just wow, this was such an amazing episode, but how amazing is it that he has some “small” alfa’s in his collection next to these big displacement cars. Love the diversity in the garage

yup the car is frikkin insane .... my fav part is the mans child being part of the build thats without doubt the best part imo
Fsking good call to make Mr Dahm an part of Top Gear. It was the right call!
Put Jeremy Clackson in that car!! I would trust his opinion about a car that was allmost impossible to drive originally.
I live near carlisle and used to hang in parking lots there with other car guys. It started off with my first car, a primer black 69 gto with a 400, and eventually acquired a 96ish Mitsubishi gts pushing 20 lbs of boost. It's cool to see him mention it.
I have to add that both cars smoked b16 and b18 swapped Honda Civic hatches. Those were so mainstream back in the day lol.

Seeing the lancia and alpha you know this man has actual taste in cars
I do wish my brother could see this - he had a SuperBee with a built 383 that scared the hemi cars of the day. This would really make his day.

That level of rigidity from a muscle car... Of all the things that impress me about the car that is by far the most impressive. Just putting a carbon fiber body on top won't do that
