I’ve been waiting for this, Parker, since you mentioned it at Goodwood. I have to say despite everything that has gone down over the last couple of years, for me, you are the very best car reviewer on RUclips. Tim comes a close second but you are more exciting and relatable. Keep up the good work, Parker, right now you’re killing it with the quality of cars and reviewing.
Ok it’s official. You should only review Porsche super cars. Must watch RUclips is Parker reviewing a Porsche of any generation. Your absolute best videos are you carving up a twisty road in whatever generation of Porsche. Great car guy content
@@VehicleVirgins Yo dude, love your content, just wanted to ask, whenever i see a video of a track car, inside the cockpit, i hear this high pitch like turbo supercharger whine but it sounds really high pitched, and the cars are N/A, is it the electronics? because when the revs get higher the pitch gets higher and it changes with the car speed and revs.
@@visione6720 It's the transmission whine from the straight cut gears. You could check out "Subaru sti straight cut gears" to see what it sounds like on a street car
Bro I used to watch you all the time in high school. I don't know why I stoped but The Algorithm has blessed me again with your content! it is great to see you again
Its truly amazing I definitely want one too and they're both exceptional in every way possible. Porsche just does it right or they don't do it at all. One thing I wish Porsche would do is literally make a line of classic well known older Porsche models as an homage to the 80s and 90s cars that were so much smaller in size. They would fly out of the showroom. Great review.
The 992 RS lapped the ring in 6:49 I believe u said vs over 7 minutes for the 991 1:28 (you compared the 992 to first gen 991 RS which was significantly slower than the .2 version The . 2 did it in 6:56. Slower than the 992 for sure But since you can’t get either except after market and the difference is 7 seconds - and the aftermarket cost difference is $200k (!!!!)-I’ll stick with my 991.2
Reviews don't mention the stiff as a rock ride that's needed because of all the downforce. Most of the changes are aero. There's only so much you can do with a NA engine.
Vehicle Virgins Absolutely Incredible Head to Head Review I think it's absolutey incredible that you got drive Cam Caseys absolutey incredible 991 911 GT3RS and and 992 911 GT3RS and I hope you'll end up getting an Allocation because it would be epic to see one on the channel
Absolute Porsche enthusiast. Great video Parker, love it. Many noticing your weight loss Parker, I noticed too. Good job, because I keep thinking about how hard it is for me to lose weight, so kudos to you.
Nice comparison review! Counting down the days till my 2025 GT3 RS arrives ~mid December. Allocations are available but still quite a hefty ~100K ADM for them if you dont have prior relationship with a dealer.
Hey, it seems those California canyon roads are not monitored by cops much. Every west coast RUclipsr and car show are dogging sports cars on them. That 992 GT3 looks and sounds amazing. Would you consider getting the manual over the PDK?
I struggled with this review, for example "ring times", these were done years apart on very different tires. Also, as someone thats owned a lot Porsche sports cars - I found the difference between the 991-992 series relatively small compared to leap between the 997 and 991 series. The aero on the 992 series value is way over blown, its effective above certain high speeds and through corners with certain geometry. If you take the 991.2 GT3 RS there is very little difference, in fact if you look at the Motortrend testing as an independent arbiter they are near identical e.g. 991.2 GT3 RS Fig 8 - 22.0 s, 0.98 avg g, 1.19 lat g, Cup2 R, braking from 60 mph 92 ft, 1/4m 11.0 @ 127.6 mph ---- 992.1 GT3 RS Fig 8 - 21.9 s, 0.97 avg g, 1.18 lat g, Cup2 R, braking from 60 mph 92 ft, 1/4m 10.9s @ 126.8 mph. The 992 interior isn't good, far to screen focussed.
992 version is a big step on. Body is significantly more rigid for starters which allows it to really take advantage of the double wishbone front suspension and everything else that they threw at the 3RS. I still miss the 991.2 interior for its more basicness and lower dashboard height. And I wish the 992 version made those pronounced blips/pops on 5-6k RPM upshifts still that the 991.2 3RS did.
My Porsce dealer (directly Porsche) offered me a GT3 RS for the list price, but only as leasing for 4 years. No direct buy, only a leasing contract to prevent buyer from selling the car. I said thanks for the offer, but i daily my GT3 and i am completely satisfied with the current 992 GT3 and i would only trade it for a GT3 Touring.
“I could sell my house to own this car. I mean, it’s got a massive wing to use as a dinner table” 🤣 I own the 991.2RS Not willing to pay the after market premium for the 992 But like you say, if you could get it at msrp it’s a no brainer- having said that… I do love the 991.2 RS- It’s well above my capabilities - making a switch to the 992 illogical at this point of my tracking abilities

Lots of people have sold their 992 to get a 991. The 991 is a better driving car. The 992 is too tack focused for many of porsche's top enthusiasts. How fast they lap is irrelevant unless you're taking it to the track, and many never do.
@@VehicleVirgins Some people who have owned both and driven them at length disagree. The 992 is too edgy for the road according to people who have owned both and went back to the 991. When asked whether to get one or the other many owners say to get the 991.
$249k for the new one? Where did you see that? What are you talking about? My 2023 car with no PTS LOADED WAS 302. I am sure the 2025 car will be about 322. That’s the bad news. The good news is that in the last four months, the average price for one of these has $85,000. Now realistically pick up one of these $400k.
@@VehicleVirgins bro you don’t even believe that, the the proof it’s in the thumbnails, Ozempic face is a known side effect. It’s unequivocal real and with visually diagnostic.
tbh not real responsible trying to push the new rs on public roads. to get to its limits you need to be pushing way too much and by then going very very fast - the car is epic but even with its capabilities it leaves u with little margin to respond to the unexpected that pops up on public roads. risking your own possession and health is fine, but pushing this cars is really putting others at severe risk too. This level of performance really should only be explored on the track.
