Quick and easy Hexagon math for bolt heads or recessed holes for nuts. Take the short side measurement and divid it by 86.6%. Gives you the long side measurement dead on every time. Edit: You can always ungroup objects to select a specific object to center align a hole in it, then regroup the entire assembly again. Also if you ever need to see inside of a part you can just select it and turn it into a hole and when you're done just turn it back into a solid.
Even easier hold shift when you select the corner and whatever dim you set for the face to face will auto scale the rest, just like when you shift and push pull with mouse.

Just hoping you can also show, for example, putting an No.20 1/4 inch tripod thread on to a bolt, external thread, and into a hole, internal thread, using TinkerCAD. Other thread type videos could also help, ( like this video does ), e.g. Metric threads, Acme thread. Trapezoidal thread, etc...
You can always ungroup an entire assembly, select one specific object to align new shapes or holes to, then regroup the entire assembly again. It's fast an easy, so not a big deal. You can also lock shapes in place so it doesn't move when you want to align a new shape or hole with it.
Not really, you can export the STL and bring it into a CAM program, however your better with its big brother Fusion 360 which has its own CAM program...
Download MatterControl for free. It's similar to TinkerCad but a little more technical and clunky but it's still a block style CAD. If I remember correctly I believe it has more advanced text settings.
Not really I built this out of 3/4 inch plumbing pipe however have now moved on to one made from 20x20 maker rail and I will do a video as well as put all the pieces for it on thingiverse soon...

You wouldn't have had to eyeball the locations of the cinch bolt & pipe holes if you hadn't grouped the box and the cylinder.

Sometimes you mix your measurements - saying inches when you mean millimetres. Not a trainwreck, though.
