I retired about 12 years ago, and am constantly searching for different things to challenge my mind....and I got interested in 3D printing. I've watched a ton of videos, researched printers, filament...and watched another ton of videos. Most just show where to download an existing item to print. I want to learn to create my own. Your video was the most concise and well instructed I have come across. Thank you for speaking on "my level". I subscribed to your channel, and will be watching more of your content. Thanks again!
Thanks Chris! Every other Tinkercad “tutorial” left me confused and overwhelmed. (And I am typically very quick to catch on to things) Your tutorial made it make sense right away. Thanks to you I’ve learned a lot about 3d printing, troubleshooting my printer and 3d design in a very short amount of time. I just got my first 3d printer two weeks ago.
Just WOW! I have been trying to wrap my head around other 3D modeling programs such as Blender and Fusion and trying to get a design from my head to screen leaves me staring at the screen and watching endless 'how-to' videos. In less then half and hour you provided a simple approach of doing just that. It seems to have a Sketchup-ish feel to it which I love. Thanks for the time you have put into this. bees-knees to you!
@Scott Johnson I've been using SketchUp 2016 for a few years now and I had to teach myself. Now it is my goto program. I've tried nearly every other 3D design program with no success at all. However I like the way this Dude is presenting TinkerCAD as an option.
Today I followed along and managed to make my own. It is in the printer which is my first Tinker design. You are a great teacher and have one hell of a mustache. Thanks for the videos.😃
Just bought an Ender Neo then tried to learn Tinkercad. Not as easy as it should be, there were gaps everywhere in all the tutorials. Until I happened on your youtube channel. You made the best tutorial I have ever seen. I went from watching your tutorial to making my first design. Keep it up, you are one of the best teachers I have had the pleasure of learning form. Thanks!!!!
That’s so great to hear. I’m glad I could fill in all the gaps. Tinkercad is a fun software and you can do so much with it. I also have tutorials on teaching Cura if you ever have problems with the software it can be trick when first getting started. Best of luck.
I'm sort of confused about you. Somewhere I heard that you are dislectic or some other illness which impacts on your interactions with people. THEN HERE YOU COME AND DELIVER THE MOST PERFECT PRESENTATION ON A HOW-TO of a design software that others can use but not explain properly. Thank you for this specific video that you did for us. It is not possible for any other person to do it for "their" program of choice. I'm trying to give you REAL PRAISE 👏🏻 🙌🏻 🏆
Well thank you. I am dialectic and super impose stuff but when it comes to making videos I just have to do a lot of planning cause I’m also a perfectionist it sometimes takes me a long time to get a video right. The time it takes is worth it cause I truly love teaching. I really appreciate your kind words and hope I can keep making “perfect presentations”

I am just getting into 3D printing and struggling with which CAD to devote time to learning. Your speed of instruction is just right. Great voice and clear. Stayed on task without wandering all over as some do. You just sold me on TinkerCad. Thanks so much.
I just followed many of the instructions in this video to create my first model. Super helpful. Thank you. One question - where in TC are all the different commands? I don't see t hem anywhere.
I’m new in 3D printing ! I been seen a lot of video and I get aggravated … But I saw your video and is so easy to understand an follow ❤ Thank you so much 😊 you are Awesome 🤩
Well first welcome to the addicting hobby of 3D printing! Second I’m super happy I was able to help you. If your learning tinkercad my entire series shows you everything you need to know to create just about anything in tinkercad. Best of luck.
Thank you so much for this! I've just begun my 3D printing journey in my middle age and will be using TinkerCAD. This tutorial taught me SOOOOO much. I love how you explained everything so clearly as you demonstrated what you were doing in a way that could be easily followed. Your enthusiasm, not only for the art/hobby (?) but for teaching in a way everyone can understand is infectious. I don't know anything about this stuff and am not 'tech savvy' but feel so much more confident now. Much appreciated and I can't wait to check out your other videos. Much appreciated!
I hadn’t even thought that there was a button for focussing on the button, I assumed that it just wasn’t an included feature. Thank you for sharing! Also, for anyone who wants multicoloured shapes, even after grouping all you have to do is select the grouped objects, select the colour circle and choose multicolour. - this is great for getting a better understanding of what your model is going to look like, or for showing others a basic look.
Great job. Easy to follow along and understand the steps. Not yet a 3D printer guy but do have a laser and think TinkerCAD will work great for me in doing some designing. Thinking a 3d printer is in the future.
Thank you for explaining step by step. You didn't rush through where I'd have to pause and start again! Well spoken as well. At 61 starting new at 3D printer and printing , you are very helpful.

How can I make a "funnel" shape hole, where the bottom of the hole is smaller than the top?
If you added the half cylinders so that they were 2 mm above the workplace, would that have accomplished the same as adding a bottom layer? In other words, if the half cylinders weren’t touching the bottom surface of the work plane, would they still cut all the way through the material?

Hey Can I get the .stl file link of this ??
Why not simply not take the original base holes all the way through, saving the extra work to blank them off?
