At 41mins if I could of had that on a loop for sound I would of fell asleep nicely. Only got to hear that once while camping next to a river. One of my best trips to the woods to become ONE again.

No shame in using the food bank/pantry. We used to go every week. It's a blessing to have places like that and you can use your money for the bills. You always seem to come up with something edible, even if it isn't gourmet.
I'm in WA and we have bigger trees (lol), but I've camped under trees before. And had some sketchy setups too. The cot's good, gets you off the ground.

My grandma knitted me a sweater in 1981 I’m going to use it as a tent and go winter camping in Mn - after seeing your tablecloth tarp I know I can do it!! You’re an inspiration to me! I have a cool aide pitcher for my stove! I’ll have a hot sweater!

Pine trees , make the very best shelter base !! It's like a naturally formed be with cover. Not perfect of course , you'll have to make improvements !!! Re-enforce the ground / bedding area !!! Then you may have to cut a couple low branches !! You may need to gather debris , (pine bows , branches , maybe even some river rocks) make a little fire pit and make sure there's nothing flameable above it ! Create some wind blocks and bang a tarp to make it waterproof and to keep hest inside . Imagine that youre creating a nest for yourself !!

I have a very similar cot I bought on Amazon for like $25-30 I think, and it's awesome for winter camping to stay off of the cold ground. Cool video for the every man. :)

That cot looks like it's worth it Way lighter than my old school one . I have put spam single with pork ramen and canned chicken with chicken. It is good to struggle you learn from mistakes and appreciate the normal life. I still haven't figured out how much fuel those tanks have in them.
I was taught by a guy hiking in the high Sierra Nevada mountains that if you make a scratch mark on the bottle it helps keep track. He said usually 28 burns for the bigger can and 14 for the smalls. Never tested his theory but does make sense.

Just make a scratch on the side like a taly mark i guess and count your burns is how he explained to me.

You think that cot could hold up a 320 lb white trash devil honkey like myself? I was looking at them but I went for the trifold Ozark trail cot. It doesn't pack small for hiking but it's been a dream in the tent. Plus instead of being 60 bucks itself, it was on clearance for 43 or something so I had to get it.
I mean its a tough cot but never tested it load strength. But with a despursted load might survive
