    Glad your feeling better. It seems like a lot of people are feeling crappy these days. I have had a week or two where I did not feel very good. I have wondered if the Vacs have some thing to do with it. As I had muscle soreness and leg cramps with mine. Just chalked it up to getting old. LOL It seems like you feel better when your outside roughing it. So keep getting out there.

    Have same size chiminey pipe on my wood stove....use a soda can, cut the top off and make a bunch of holes around the can, bend in the opening of the can some and put on very top of the pipe, keeps the sparks from falling back down on your tent.

    I bought the same hammock tent, jungle explorer, same color, for stealth camping. I really like it, ditched the elastic for the bug net, but used parachord instead for the bug net guy lines, works better. Its good for backpacking. For stealth camping, I use a camo tarp for the rain fly instead of the light grey silver one it comes with, its to detectable. A use for the hammock, because it rains a lot where i live, it has the rain fly, i setup at a park for day camping, hanging out for just the day, can chill in the hammock, read a book, have a picnic lunch under the rain fly...if it rains, you can still enjoy. Its a lot nicer than many would think.

    Was checking on this OneTigris tent and came across your video, you have the same hammock. How ever, I dont use this hot tent for my hammock. I looked for easy setup situation, similar to a teepee that I can stand up in. use a similar size ground tarp staked, and i use a backpacking cot, with a air mattress, placing the cot length wise the back, am 5 11, so there is plenty space and there is room in the tent for my woodstove a camping chair a folding tv table, and my gear. Having plenty of room in the tent, because it rains a lot here and there are times where you would need to just remain in the tent all day, being able to heat your meals, stretch out, use your micro toilet - gatoraide bottle LOL and us guys know we need to stand for this job. A big tent makes it more comfortable to have to stay in for a whole day because of the rain on a camping trip, the tarp ground liner so you arent slopping around in mud. I have a ozark trail teepee tent because it has a two pole system that Y which opens inside, no center pole, 11.7 ft x 11.7 ft and 7 ft high, i love it also, turned into a hot tent . Its rather heavy and doesnt do well to back pack into the woods some for more remote camping. There has been some complaints about this OneTigris that its not a back packing tent and it doesnt go back into the bag it comes with, which my experience with is, its not that heavy, you can figure out how to bungee it to your back pack and it goes back in the bag just fine if your fold and roll it properly. The bag has handles and could just carry it a few miles into the woods, its not that heavy so wont be like the US military basic training duffle bag drag , your arms wont be jello if you had to carry a few miles into the woods. It fits well into a car for car camping, poles are a pain in da butt to deal with so its easy to setup with trees. They do have collapsible poles, which would be for a tarp tent or canopy on Amazon, Ive had to use them several times with this onetigris and guy lined out, poles at the outside on each end, worked like a charm

    I can't use a lot of different wood burning stoves I bought one and heavily modified it and then end up making my own portable wood stoves myself and I tell you what worked a lot better then made it work for my needs and when it comes to how you have to have a good bed of hot holes to have that it's still going good. I had a wood-burning stove that I was very similar and it modifying the front of it and added a couple small half inch holes with the slide for dampening the air flow coming in and never use what came with it just six half inch holes like quarter inch apart and then for the chimney I first get the fire going I get a nice and hot in the back get the chimney nice and hot and then it tends to draft very well and I had no more problems after that. Don't be afraid to modify what you bought. You got a welder you could always fix what you did once you get it dialed in you appreciate it way more I could have mine set up and going in about 10 minutes and then about 20 minutes that thing is blasting like a furnace.

    The potato stroganoff is a classic. How necessary would you say the heat shield is for the stove?

    • @TheOutdoorsMeGee
      @TheOutdoorsMeGee  Год назад +2

      I think its very necessary for this tent because of how close it sits to the wall. Definitely protects the investment and bounces the heat right where you want it.
