We think the same about models outside of the US. I look at some of the European trucks that are really just repurposed military trucks (think what you see on airfields) and just gush.
As a German volunteer firefighter, I find it extremely interesting to see my comrades from other countries at work. Greetings from Germany and as we say locally "all the time good hose".
@@takarasan Some departments do, some don't. Often rural departments won't have them due to the small population and people can find another way around a block with little traffic. It does make hose setup harder as you must be careful. For cities, departments have so much on the trucks already. Not all departments choose to carry "Schlauchbrücken" (hose bridge) on every truck. You would think our bigger trucks have more storage, but I am always amazed with how much gear you guys pack into your trucks.
@@Drako3215 Except near the beginning, when they briefly stand in the smoke, I don't understand what you mean. Not everyone here wears a mask either. In the "vehicle staging area" it can sometimes happen that smoke is blown away by the wind for a short time. And the two in the ladder's basket have masks on when they are no longer in the smoke-free area. Otherwise send a TimeStamp what exactly you mean by “don’t wear a mask”
I just hit 20 years in the fire service. I've served with Riverside County (CA), San Diego Rural, Tombstone (AZ) Fire, and am now with East Knox County (KY) VFD. STAY SAFE OUT THERE, BROTHERS AND SISTERS! THANK ALL Y'ALL FOR DOING WHAT YOU DO!!
Maybe it's because it's a rural town, but bravo to the drivers for having spacial awareness and mostly getting out of the way immediately. Great use of the Q! An incredible start to an incredible video.
@fjb3544 don't start with lgbtq+. Most firefighters are men's, with some women. Being lgbtq+ gives nothing. Only courage, initiative and more are what matter.

@@Tower_15_Ladderyes blowing of the air horn either multiple bursts or long blare is used as an aide to inform firefighters inside who may otherwise not have heard radio traffic. The loud drawn out air horn can be better heard and needs no explanation to those inside. (If you hear it GET OUT). The decision made by those in charge. That firefighters inside were unable to effectively get to where the main body of fire was located and apply water changed operations from aggressive interior attack to a more defensive master stream attack. Allowing for direct water application onto the greatest amount of fire. Those streams of water can cause significant harm if sprayed on people which is why the building gets evacuated before they are used.

My love and appreciation are out to those in 🖤❤️🖤 I have been thankful enough to do things on law enforcement side and also ride along with local fire departments. I worked with ARC for I don’t even know how many years served as assistant chief. I have seen y’all’s blood sweat and tears. I can say first responders have the hardest jobs. Much ❤

I'm so glad they keep using those old sirens on fire engines/trucks/ladders/etc, the good ones can be heard so well. Some regular sirens you just cannot HEAR in new cars. Built to be quiet, but that's a double edged sword...
First thing I noticed was how absolutely beautiful that part of Pennsylvania is. It reminds me of some areas of Nova Scotia (i am in Canada). Good video! It was interesting to see a first person perspective when responding to a call.

Most people forget, its not just wood that feeds the fire. Its all the man made materials like tile flooring, carpet, , electrical, melting HVAC system, kitchen appliances now fully engulfed, etc.

Evacuation Tones. To essentially let all personnel working interior, to get out, and do it now. Usually happens when the fire starts to overwhelm or compromise the structure, or if it's a very deep seated fire.

Most Q2 sirens have a pedal attached near the engineers feet. Hes most likely using his other foot to push down on the pedal.
Driver/Engineer still got them skillz, that's a top heavy machine he's getting around them corners at speed but safely in control.
