My dad was a fire rescue instructor and squad leader 27 years. I rode with him to many fire calls and I love seeing people pulling over to let the emergency vehicles have the entire road on both sides if they need it to get to where they're needing to go.
They did an amazing job knocking down that fire as quickly as they did. given the way these structures burn the other residents were lucky. That whole building could've. Prayers to those that lost everything,
Well, if by some miracle, People in this country some how magically become educated, no fear at all as any emergency vehicle can disregard traffic laws using due regard and caution.
@@mudducke8 you likely use your phone while driving and disregard any emergency vehicles. They have the right of way even if it means having to do something illegal if it means SAVING LIVES
@mudducke8 At least in the United States, most, if not all state Legislatures have passed laws permitting emergency vehicles to disregard traffic laws as necessary for that emergency vehicle. The authority is from the state Legislature.
7:04 someone's already noted the ladder truck sitting in a parking lot, but did anyone notice the old guy in the white t-shirt and cowboy hat crossing the street and doing the arm pull/air horn thing? That's normally reserved for children and drivers of semi trucks, dunno if I've ever seen an adult do it OR anyone direct it at a fire engine! 😂😂😂
This is an outstanding video 👍🏻👍🏻. Enjoyed the ride along, but held my breath when you entered the apartment. All the smoke, it’s like entering a maze blind folded.
9:05 look at the chick with the helmet on, taking pics. Wearing a t-shirt, shorts and a fire helmet. 👌 🤦♂️ You know you’re in wacker land when you see that kind of dedication. 😂😂😂
5:15 Haha at first I looked at that and thought WTF is the pickup doing stopped on the wrong side of the road. Then I notice that it was the fire trunk was going the wrong way.
Very quick response! A job well done. I’ve got a question though. What is that fast spinning thing you can see on the left? I’ve noticed also that the fire was spreading through the whole attic. Are there no firewalls between these units? Greetings from the Netherlands.
They're probably doing district coverage for the companies already on the incident. Being a midmount, it probably doesn't fit in the station they are covering for so they posted.
Hey FireRescue50! I watch your videos often and love the content, I work with my full time dept as a junior FF. Anyways, I was wondering what chest light and helmet light you use for firefighting, I’m having trouble finding the right ones. Much appreciated if you could tell! Have a great night!
@NoHarmDunn You ask about a firehouse signal in a state where "Sheriff's" are not legally allowed to act as police. You ask about a simple signal light in a state where, for the most part, there are no county services, only town, borough, village, township, or city. Layer upon layer of political subdivision Bureaucracy... lmao
sounded like with the roof you were using a battery powered chain saw, do you find them better than their gas counterpart i'm sure the weight is way different as well
That was a very stupid thing to do driving that distance into head on traffic. This guy should have a sit down with his battalion chief and if the chief condones that decision he shouldn’t be in his position. I was an engineer for a long time and if I would have pulled a stunt like that I would have had my ass kicked across the engine bay. Now go ahead and pile on but no one can defend that stunt.
How do U.S. fire departments respond to fires in buildings 30 stories or higher? Can a fire department's ladder vehicle handle a fire in a high-rise building higher than 30 stories?
most Ladder, towers, and other platform trucks are any where from 85ft to 110ft reach. there are certain dept. that have specialty trucks that can reach way higher, but for like 30+ stories, none compromised structures its all interior reach. standpipes are located in stair wells throughout most highrise buildings. so water supply wouldnt be a problem at those heights.
@@SpeedOfficial_ ruclips.net/video/cyMyGhuX9Kg/видео.htmlfeature=shared This is news from 3 years ago. This is a fire that occurred in a high-rise building (apartment) in a city in Korea where I live. At the time, there was no equipment to extinguish the fire, but the fire department currently has a 70-meter-tall ladder vehicle, but it is estimated that there are currently about four in the city. Currently, in large cities in Korea, buildings over 30 stories (over 90 meters in height) are being built along riversides and in densely populated areas. I'm not sure if the fire department can handle it with its limited equipment and vehicles. (Even though Korea is the country with the fastest population decline, construction of high-rise, expensive apartments continues.)
Did they need more distance? I wouldn't say never. That's something that tends to vary from situation to situation and in this case I don't think the extra distance would've had any additional benefit

Amazing y’all were able to contain this fire as quick as you did, kudos to all responding agencies..
I still absolutely love the engine sound on Truck 50
Thank you for taking us with you. So glad no one was hurt. Great job guys. God bless.
That was a very bad fire with the loss of a tenant. Good work by all the crews in containing the fire as quickly as they did.
5:15 I'm curious how scared these people must have been seeing a fire truck running code heading straight for them

Fire apparatus are so bad ass. Love the sound of that turbo diesel and how effortlessly that rig just glides down the road.

Interesting to actually see the inside of such structures! Most videos only show exterior.

Truck Co. 67 had their tower ladder up and flowing water and cut off the fire from extending down the rest of the building.
