    An adjustable nozzle designed to be used in multiple situations is way cheaper than reinventing firefighting. A Booster line with a pistol grip and long nozzle can access burning material in many locations. From straight stream to a fog.

      Fair.
      You also don't need air conditioning, a proper kitchen, a proper bunk house. These things are nice to have, though, so are the gadgets.

      To be fair, there are numerous scenarios where these tools would come in handy for those brave men and women so they don't get injured or killed in the line of duty. No one is talking about replacing them here.

    One of my firefighting ideas was a firefighting drone but I couldn’t quite come up with a design for it…. major firefighter departments should take that one specific firefighting innovation seriously because sometimes you have situations where the fire is just raging out of control like where the fire is so bad that the firefighters just have to do what’s called a controlled burn or the fire is in a spot that is hard for firefighters to get to so when the next giant fire happens and it’s one of those dangerous scenarios well I’m just saying the firefighting drone would be a great help to the firefighters :/

    Много инноваций,только пожары по старинке тушат!

    • @TheAgentgoblin
      @TheAgentgoblin 5 месяцев назад

      Каких инноваций? Ружьё, которой пшикает воздухом, только выглядит прикольно, обычный огнетушитель работает не хуже и понятней. Прокалыватели контейнеров - штука очень специфическая, её разве что в порту или на складах использовать. Пенообразователи, пожарную авиацию, дымососы, пожарные катера тоже не вчера придумали.
      Роботы тоже применимы очень не везде, достаточно посмотреть, в каких условиях пожарным приходится работать - то подъезда нет, то провода висят гирляндами, то трубы, то горит внутри какой-то жопы, куда добираться только через внутренние коммуникации и никакой робот не пролезет. Хотя как замена пожарному щиту показанные китайские роботы - просто блеск. Сам себя охлаждает и пожарному не надо в пекло лезть.

    That first thing... It's principle attribute is water (or whatever) delivered to a hot spot via an insane burst of air. But... Oxygen is fuel to a fire. In fact, my brother in law uses his leafblower to start campfires. Shooting air at fire seems akin to shooting gas at a fire. But I don't know anything, just here as a fan of the heroes

    Is CO2 BOMBS possible in wildfire scales of firefighting?

    • @sugard-x
      @sugard-x 2 месяца назад

      At that large of a scale, it probably wouldn't be very effective and would likely use up too many resources to make it worth it. The CO2 being released rapidly would likely also cause enough pressure to spread the fire more, rather than put it out.

    What a bunch of useless, un-needed bullshit! So, you can snuff out the flames. What do you have left? HOT REMAINS! Easily likely to rekindle, you can't touch it, go in it. WATER is what you need. European companies sure like to show off their cutsie gadgets, but I must say, the only practical items here were the fire boats,....because they use water! And the robots used in the refinery fire are, in my opinion useful for that environment, but in a municipal setting....stand there and hold a hose like a fireman!
