    Video Overview:
This video is an in depth explanation of tinted spf. I explain what tinted SPF is, how it is different from untinted SPF, and why tinted sunscreen is a very important step in your AM skincare routine. I talk through the importance of Iron Oxides for melasma, hyperpigmentation & sun spot prevention. I explain how to use a tinted SPF in your skincare routine (I personally like to use tinted sunscreen as a second application of SPF to cut the white cast from mineral physical sunscreens). I explain how much sunscreen to use (1/4-1/2 tsp for the face), and when to apply sunscreen and tinted SPF in your skincare routine. Then I share and review my tinted SPF collection. The tinted sunscreens reviewed in this video are: Colorescience Sunforgettable Total Protection Face Shield Broad Spectrum SPF 50, DRMTLGY Anti-Aging Tinted Moisturizer Universal Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 46, Mychelle Dermaceuticals Sun Protection Sun Shield Liquid Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Nude Light/Medium, Clinique Pep Start Daily UV Protector Broad Spectrum SPF 50, Australian Gold Botanical Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 50 Tinted Face Lotion, Create Hydrating Sunscreen Sheer Tint Broad Spectrum SPF 30, Cetaphil Redness Relieving Daily Facial Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20. I also apply all of the tinted sunscreens to my face so you can see how much color and coverage they add to the skin.

You guys! Correction: The Australian Gold SPF is not truly fragrance free despite that label on the bottle. I completely missed that it has Eucalyptus Extract in it, which is a sensitizing fragrant plant extract. I am so sorry! I try my best to give you guys accurate information, but sometimes I miss ingredients on accident. I wish the "fragrance free" label was always reliable, but it's unfortunately not. I personally don't experience skin irritation from it, but everyone's skin is different and that doesn't mean it won't be an irritant for you. Just something to be aware of!

@@jt8142 According to the ingredient dictionary on paulaschoice.com, red algae is considered a very good ingredient. I didn't find the kakadu plum, but of course eucalyptus is a know sensitizer. I've been using the Australian Gold for a good while and didn't even know eucalyptus was in there. Thankfully I've had no reaction, but it makes me rethink using it.

It also comes in several shades. I find it to be pretty drying if I use it everyday. It's good, but I try and find something to alternate it with. SuperGoop has several very good ones.

I just started using the first aid beauty tinted mineral sunscreen and I love it!! It’s so lightweight it almost feels silky and like nothing on your skin. It’s only spf 30 though. I also use the avene tinted mineral sunscreen and it has a MUCH darker tint which is nice especially when fake tanned :)

You should definitely check out elta md tinted sunscreen. Water resistant, broad spectrum mineral sunscreen. I wear it every single day and it has never broken me out or piled or interacted with my rigorous skin care regimen which I alternate regularly. ITS MY HOLY GRAIL

I have been using the Austrailian Gold for awhile now and I like it pretty well. I just got the Mychelle and I'm hoping it will work to even out my complexion on days where I don't want to wear makeup. Thanks for all the info. I have tried the Cerave but it us only SPF 30 and the other 2 are 50 so I would rather stick with them.

You should try Drunk Elephant Umbra Tint! It has a lot of tint to it but I’m very fair so it makes my skin have a summer glow. It’s only a SPF 30 but its 20% Zinc Oxide only and there products have amazing ingredients too!

Paula's Choice Super-Light Daily Wrinkle Defense is a great tinted SPF for fair skin. My daughter wears it by itself and it matches her skin. I like to mix it with 2 to 4 drops of No7 foundation drops with no additional foundation. It looks very natural on me and seems to control my oil. My favorite so far. I also have the old formulation of the Australian Gold and really like it, but it has some eucalyptus and is also a little bit darker than my skin. First time viewer, btw. Hi!

Thank you for this video, gained a new subscriber. I will have to check out your top 2 recommendations, the Colorescience and DRMTLGY. I previously tried the Clinique, and I agree with you, it’s nothing special. Also the Australian Gold, but that one gave me horrible breakouts. My skin is combination oily, sensitive, and acne-prone.

I couldn’t use the Australian Gold....way too drying, but I love the Mychelle it works great under my makeup, it’s not expensive and it’s coral reef safe. For my sensitive skin it’s been great. Definitely would recommend it.

I just got the Paulas Choice in the light blue tube. It is rather thin but moisturizing and it works great under makeup. Just be sure and let it absorb for about 20 min first.
