I’m 35 and I’ve been using Cerave for about a year now. I would spend all my money on high end products. I always get so many compliments on my skin. Also I follow Dr.Dray who is a Dermatologist she is the BEST.
Dr. Dray ( Dermatologist)and Dr. Anthony Youn ( Holistic Plastic Surgeon) are amazing ! I got his book the age fix. They're both on the same page. Beauty starts from the inside out by diet, exercise etc.)
Jessica Burris initially I did (I only use the lotion & cream) but my skin usually flares up whenever I introduce a new product so I keep benzoyl peroxide gel on hand. It’s been over a year now and I think that sticking to it was worth it given the formulation.
Because it does absolutely nothing positive, and they get kickbacks. To clarify the first statement: there are no active ingredients in amounts that help the skin. When people use the products, they either have zero reaction(does nothing good or bad) or it causes problems like irritation( usually a reaction to an ingredient).
I have the most confusing skin type. I have sensitive, acne prone skin. My skin is normal- dry (after taking accutane 5 years ago), but the smallest stuff breaks it out. Shampoos, fabrics, certain perfumes, skin care products and more can turn my skin from cool and calm to a cystic acne mess in less than a week. Also, because my skin is so dry I can’t use typical acne treatments more than 2 times a week or my eczema flares up all over my face as well. Cerave is the only thing that has helped ALL of my skincare needs. It takes care of my, acne, the hydration, my eczema, AND has great product to help prevent signs of aging. I don’t think I’ll ever put down my cerave.
Oh my gosh I’m so sorry you have to deal with all that but SO glad you found something that works for you! What a relief!! Agreed I’m obsessing over it- so so good!
Ray R I use the cerave hydrating cleanser in the morning and at night I alternate between that one and the cerave salicylic acid cleanser. Then I use a few of my other skin care products that are just extras (toner, AHAs, retinol etc). I follow up with ceraves moisturizing cream. It works really well for my eczema and my dermatologist was the one who recommended it. I always use sunscreen too. That has significant helped my skin.
I have only used the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for like a week and honestly, I cannot say anything bad it does NOT lack any hydrating effects and I love it!
Their new “renewing SA cleanser” is amazing!!! It’s like their foaming cleanser but with salicylic acid. Not stripping at all but cleans the skin perfectly. Def give it a try! ❤️
Nayla Makan I’ve been using it for about two weeks, it does a good job of cleansing my face and doesn’t leave it dry. My pimples have gone down in the time that I used it. I would start by using it every other night because remember, salicylic acid is an exfoliant. It doesn’t personally dry out my skin though and I’ve loved it so far?
I switched to CeraVe about a year and a half ago, I had sensitive, super oily skin when I was young and used all sorts of things and finally just settled on bar soap and skin oil, but now at 45 I'm super glad that I switched. Going into my 40s my skin was not so oily anymore and I started to experience dry patches and more sensitivity, with CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser and PM Lotion or the Moisturizing Cream, my skin always feels comfortable now, looks hydrated and has really conquered the dullness that comes with skin in middle age. It's truly a fantastic brand, thanks for the reviews!!!
I’m 45 now too, so I’m willing to try it, my skin is way to oily specially in the morning when I wake up on my forehead so hopefully this product will help,
I use CeraVe for my skincare routine. AM- foaming cleanser, eye cream, Vitamin C Serum, AM moisturizer. PM- Ponds Cold Cream to remove makeup, foaming cleanser, Retinol Serum, PM moisturizer. I also use their Moisturizer cream on the rest of my body. It has been a game changer for me. Even tone, soft and glowy skin, no more break outs, less texture etc. I started my teens on it minus the retinol.
Love it. I have the same morning routine as you but I need to add a night time cream and retinol to my pm. I also use a cold pressed, organic, hemp seed oil for oil cleansing and removing makeup at night. 💕
Braeden Millar I am SOOOO confused! Everyone says to use oil free and drying products for oily skin when in real life you get oily skin because your face isn’t hydrated enough. Your body produces more sebum and oil when it’s not hydrated so idk why people are saying use drying stuff. Everyone should use hydrating products and there skin shouldn’t be oily or dry! 😊
Im in the UK and Cerave has been a game changer for my skin,I’m 65 ,I use both the foaming cleanser and the hydrating cleanser,at last my sensitive skin feels better than it ever did X😊
I had been using clinique for years and just switching up my cleansers from time to time. Recently got myself some cerave and instantly noticed the feel of my skin was drastically better after the first application. I thought it was my skin that had problems but it was really just the awful face cream choice I had been making for years! I had super sensitive skin growing up so when clinique didn't give me an allergic reaction I stopped searching for other skin care! So glad I stepped out of my comfort zone ❤
I just got into cerave. I started with the hydrating cleanser but then got the foaming one and I love the foaming one! I also introduced the thick moisturizer and it was game changing to my skin! I am very acne prone and I cannot believe it took me this long to find this brand 😊 its amazing!
I am obsessed with the hydrating cleanser and daily moisturizing lotion. My skin has never been better than it is now with those two: a gentle cleaner and moisturizer, and then the addition of a prescription strength retinol product (which I get from a derm). Over the years, I have learned that the only place to really spend money with skincare is in clinical treatments (ie. the needle, etc., which I haven’t done yet) and in your serums/treatment products! No need to ever spend $60+ or whatever on a cleanser, ever!
For Men: I recently switched from Harry’s to CeraVe and I couldn’t be happier. Harry’s was drying out my face, leaving it flaky and tight. After some research I found out that Harry’s contains sulfates which turned out to be the culprit (look for ingredients like sodium lauryl sulfate and anything similar). So I immediately looked up the best sulfate-free skincare brand and CeraVe came up right away. After a few weeks of use all dryness and flaking is gone and my face is literally the best it’s ever been. I use the Hydrating Facial Cleanser, Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum, and the AM and PM Facial Moisturizing lotions (in that order).
I appreciate your time in showing and reviewing the many different CeraVe products. I've been using the Hydrating Facial Cleanser and Daily Moisturizing Lotion for 10 years ♥ These products are gentle enough for sensitive skin that can easily get irritated. The cleanser doesn't remove face makeup all that well however, if you double cleanse the skin before I use Micellar Water then the Facial Cleanser, a full day of beauty is gently removed :) I'm hoping to try the Tinted Sunscreen when it is available at the store.
Cerave supplemented with The Ordinary is all I need! Bring on the glow, baby! Also, your eye look is absolutely amazing!! Make a video about how you get that beautiful gradient color!
I'm almost 42 with acne-prone skin, rosacea, and eczema and the CeraVe brand is the ONLY brand that has worked. I've tried MANY brands, but they only irritated my skin more. I tell everyone about this brand.
rebeccaandsteve robinson Have you ever tried La roche posay? Because i also have acne-prone skin and rosacea and i’m wondering if cerave is better than la roche posay (i’m using that right now)
I just started using the night cream. It is fantastic. I have mature, dry, dehydrated skin. The moisturizers I have simply go dry after about 4 hours and they don’t seem to hydrate at all; all this just happened recently. So, dry skin, totally dehydrated. I applied the Cerave night cream and it was like applying a miracle. Instant hydration; lines faded. It’s thick. You can feel it staying on the skin instead of fading. But not greasy. Honestly, I am still in shock that a cream can do that with one application. I’ve struggled for some months now trying to keep my skin moist and hydrated. Feeling so relieved.
You should always use a standalone SPF. If it is combined in a different product, it is watered down. So that SPF 30 claim, would only end up a 5. 10 if you're lucky. And that is if you are applying a tsp of product to the face. You're not as protected as you think you are, and brands really should know better.
@@basicbaroque stand alone SPF and moisturizer is two completely different things. The main difference is that SPF is meant to sit on top of the skin and not penetrate, either blocking and reflecting or absorbing Ray's. Moisturizer is fully meant to penetrate, and either moisturizing or hydrating the layers of the skin. Another main difference is the amount needed in application. Also testing and ingredients. So no, they are not the same. And reverse marketing? What even is that?
@@jennramsey5016 Means they just marketed the products differently. Just read the labels on sunscreens and these "moisturizers" with sun protection. They're the same thing.
My teen son started using the regular Cerave pump lotion when his skin was really dry from taking Accutane. It was great at moisturizing without making the skin greasy. We use several Cerave products because they are effective and inexpensive in the context of the quality and amount you get for your money.
The night cream has peptides, ceramides, hyaluronic acid, niacinimide, and vitamin E. It's pretty much the perfect night cream. It's just missing B5 and CoQ10 and it would be holy grail. Only ELF Holy Hydration or Olay Regenerist compare. I hope they see this and update it! x
3 weeks ago I switched from the Seba Med foam facewash to the Cerave foam facewash with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid. Let me tell you my face has never felt smoother and my bumps are almost gone. I have been using Deferrin gel for 3 years and I did not get the improvement I had from this face wash. And in three weeks is a crazy improvement !!! If you have given up on your skin please give it a shot.
I'd just like to honestly complement you for such an informative, in-depth video. I feel that everything you say is loaded with information and it really distinguishes you from a lot of other reviewers on RUclips.
My dermatologist suggests Cerave for my Eczema. She said the lotion is great but the cream is better. Like wearing a light jacket with the lotion but a winter coat for the cream. Cerave ROCKS!
I am 58 years old and have normal to dry skin. I have used many different skin care lines throughout the years, including high-end products (My favorite of all is the Murad line but Murad is expensive) I found the CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser does NOT clean my skin. After washing my face with it, I used a cotton ball and toner, and couldn't believe all the makeup that came off on the cotton ball! No matter how long I messaged it on my skin, it seemed to just float over the surface of the skin, and every time I still get makeup and dirt on the cotton ball! I bought the large bottle ($15) I am going to try and use it up so I feel I haven't completely wasted my money! Now whenever I use it, I add a dab of my Aveeno Positively Radiant brightening daily scrub to the CeraVe cleanser to clean my face more thoroughly. I will not purchase this cleanser again. Also upon reading reviews of this cleanser, I saw many that said the same thing... That it did not clean their face! On another note, I do really like the CeraVe Eye Repair cream and the PM moisturizer feels nice on my skin. A light-weight moisturizer that is not heavy and leaves my skin soft and nourished.
CeraVe is amazing. My dermatologist told me use it head to toe. I've always used the tub but, recently purchased the PM moisturizer ( Dr. says use that during the day with your serum). Love CeraVe ♥️
I got a nasty allergic reaction from the Cerave Hydrating Cleanser, I used it with the Neutrogena Hydroboost gel cleanser and had just started Tretinoin 2 days before that and OMG it was bad! I immediately stopped the Cerave because it was the newest to me and no more reaction! I’ve also heard that Cerave products can irritate and cause stinging and burning, etc… I’ve been using the Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer and several other products from them and absolutely love them all! So if you ladies out there are just starting on Tretinoin or not, do yourself a favor and go out and try The Roche Posay products. Thank you for all your great videos Abby, I’ve been watching ALOT since I started Tretinoin and your videos are helpful and informative. Also, I ordered The Ordinary Copper Peptides serum and im excited to try that.
I really recommend the SA lotion if you have textured skin. I’ve been using the SA lotion for about 3 weeks and almost all of the tiny bumps on my forehead have gone away. I didn’t think it was even possible to get rid of them until I used the lotion. It’s such a great product!
I suffer from Ultra sensitive , flaking , red skin . This has been going on for years and tried numerous product without much success . Started using the cerave moisturising lotion a few weeks ago and it has been superb . The redness has completely calmed down and I don’t get any dry flakiness . Cannt recommend this product highly enough !
I use a lot of CereVe products. I have been using the SA Cleanser and SA Lotion for Rough & Bumpy Skin for about 2 years. I now never have to use a physical exfoliator. I had been using them for about 3 months when I noticed that I had not needed my scrub. Even in the dry months of winter my skin is soft and supple. I also use the Facial Moisturizing Lotions AM and PM. Fragrance just doesn't have any business in skin care. It is damaging to the skin, even if it isn't immediately noticable.
I LOVVVVVVE their foaming face wash and the hydrating cream. I had bad acne and still get hormonal acne so I always used Neutrogena. Then I researched better options and I’m in love with CeraVe. I’ve only used the cream on my hands but I’m thinking I need a tub of it for my body. It’s soooooo good. Thanks for your research and passion to help us!
The Cera Ve SA cleanser really helped me with my oily acne prone skin. Getting pregnant made me break more than ever before. It really helped. I got the foaming cleanser for my fiancé’s house and I love it so much.
I just purchased the SA cleanser to hopefully help more with these face mask breakouts I’m starting to get! Hoping it helps me too 😊 love that cleanser also! I have a feeling the same thing will happen to me when I’m pregnant some day!
Abbey Yung I love the SA cleanser probably my favorite I’ve tried with Salicylic acid in it. Cera Ve is such a good brand! It could happen for you or you could have flawless skin. I know girls that never broke out at all while pregnant they’re lucky. My acne wasn’t terrible but the hormone progesterone makes your skin so oily..
Yay I’m so glad to hear that! Just tried it last night so we’ll see how it goes! Ugh yes I am just preparing myself for that 😫 I’ve been acne prone my whole life so not even going to get my hopes up 😂
This is so wild! I just found your channel through your GRWM! Then this morning I needed to figure out a new skincare routine and decided to look up reviews of Cerave and stumbled across your video during my search. Thanks so much for uploading! I value your thoughts and your skin looks amazing!
I use all Cerave products. Vitamin C serum.foam facial cleanser, night cream and mosturizing all by Cerave. I am 84 years old but nobody believes my age. They say I am only 50 years old. I tried many brands but Cerave products, the best. Thank you much for all your info.
I had never before used skincare products but wanted to start anti aging (I'm 24 but as Hyram says, it's never too early to start anti aging) so I got a bunch of expensive skincare products that I had spent hours researching, etc. I've never had a skin problem either. After 3 days of using all of these products that were supposedly for dry and sensitive skin, it made my face extremely dry, tight and it gave me the appearance of wrinkles. I switched to using Cerave moisturizer and it has saved me! Going to pick some of these products you recommended up! Thanks for the video! Very informative!
I used this Neutrogena grapefruit moisturizer and it made me break out so bad! I looked it up and apparently their grapefruit products cause problems for a bunch of people. So I ordered some cerave products and I am hopeful that it will work🤞
This acne guide *AcneCureOnline. Com* was very informative and helpful. I often go through gentle adult acne and this guide discusses all the possible solutions for mild to severe acne whether natural procedures or otherwise. I prefer the natural way of treating them and I found out on this guide the treatments that work efficiently.
I use CeraVe for everything, and my skin has gotten so much better over the last few months. I had tried EVERYTHING. My skin is dry to normal, but very sensitive and I have rosacea. My pores are very easily clogged. I use the hydrating bar on my body, and the foaming facial cleanser on my face. Then to moisturize at night I use the daily moisturizing lotion(not the cream) on my face and body. In the morning I was my face with the foaming cleaner again, and use the tinted Hydrating sunscreen under my Korean BB cream. It works almost like a primer for me! My skin has improved A LOT and the scars I had on my cheeks are fading.
a retinoid! Do you currently use any retinoid products? (Retinol, adapalene, tretinoin). My mom also had a lot of melasma as well, very significant discoloration & it is completely gone now that she’s used tretinoin for awhile! It’s amazing. I just posted a podcast episode this week discussing them, hopefully this helps 😊 open.spotify.com/episode/5YxPSKYHwb2Y3fubYGeZwN?si=1o4NDJMEQnygYTU1vVfkvg
I have Eczema & the night cream feels like a cool cream on your face when you have flare up real refreshing... I use all the CeraVe products as well as medical grade serums for moisture & this pays off... Nonetheless; if your skin flares up you have to get your dermatologist to prescribe hydrocortisone... cause sometimes you just need it..
I use Cerave for my daily skin care, but for my really bad eczema flare ups I use Exederm flare control cream. I got it at cvs or Walgreens. I also use the Aveeno Baby Eczema Therapy moisturizing cream after using the flare up cream. Once my eczema has calmed down, I go back to cerave
I tried every toner face scrub/cleanser I was struggling with acne on my forehead that seemed to never go away along with dry skin due to all the chemicals and treatments I was using...I even did homemade facemasks but I’ve only been using cerave for about 2 weeks and my skin has improved so much it feels much more moisturized and clear . Thank the heavens for this product because it makes me feel much more confident
I was thinking about purchasing these serums but i wasn't sure. I've been having a lot of skin issues lately, especially on my face. It's been dry, flaky and irritated. Thanks for the very detailed review. I appreciate it.
I didn’t have any at the time because I have a lot of sunscreens to get through! I did try out their SPF 50 after this and it left a terrible white cast! Here are my SPF faves of the moment: ruclips.net/video/DJljpfjrCt4/видео.html
Hi! I have recently started adding cerave products to my night routine. after years of expensive brands for my bight routine, a friend got me hooked on cerave face wash for the last year and i love it. Recently I've started using a few other cerave products and I've followed this video but still afraid I'm doing too much product or wrong order. **at night I bought and started to use: cerave hydrating facial cleanser for normal to dry skin, then I started using these at night but not sure what order I should use in: 💠cerave eye repair cream 💠cerave skin renewing gel oil 💠cerave skin renewing retinol serum 💠cerave skin renewing nightly exfoliating treatment 💠skin renewing night cream **for days I bought and started to use: 💠cerave skin renewing vitamin c serum 💠PM facial moisturizing lotion (used to use estree lauder day wear moisturizer) is all of this too much? unnecessary? what order?
CeraVe has an AM lotion that has SPF.... (which I have and use) but I use the big tub of their Moisturizing Cream ALL over my body including my face. It is great to use immediately when you get out of the shower and your skin is still slightly wet. It will help to hold that water into your skin. I have VERY dry sensitive skin and this works great for me. (and I have tried many high end products that either aren't as good OR are not worth the price over the CeraVe line.)
I want to thank you for this video, I have been without a skincare routine for a while and have basically been treating it badly. My daughter had been a Mary Kay rep, so of course I was using her line for a couple-three years; while I liked it, it was pricey and I had to stop. Then, I did a a lot of research & learned how to make various serums, creams, and lotions; I did not make a cleanser as I had a moisturizing cleansing bar left from Mary Kay as it last forever. A year and a half ago, we had to move from a house to a room and someone threw out my supplies to make everything. Now, with a much longer commute and my illnesses flaring, I have neither the time nor the energy to DIY my skin care. I had heard about Cerave and purchased the hydrating facial cleanser & daily moisturizing lotion; I had decided that I wanted the rest of the line through my research; now, from the information from you, it's a done deal Thank you. Next up, make-up for older skin; I am 60 and am going to look into COVERGIRL + Olay Simply Ageless 3-in-1 Foundation.
Yvette Sandoval, I'm 62 and just since this pandemic have upped the game in my skincare routine (nothing else to do right now). My story is similar in that my daughter also sold Mary Kay AND I also started making my own products. What a pain! I started back on Tretinoin 8 weeks ago and with the peeling had to do something or look like a lizard, lol. Through RUclips watching I discovered CeraVe products and now I swear by them! I also discovered Nikol Johnson. I recommend checking out her "Fierce Aging" series. She specializes in makeup for women over 40. I've bought some of her products and just love them. They are comparably priced to other higher end brands but even though I'm on a budget I feel they are worth it (and so am I)! We're never to old to learn how to take care of (and love) our skin! Good luck in your journey!
Hi from Australia. You are fabulous...I just found you. So sorry for the U.S with COVID. We have been so blessed and only had 73 deaths for the whole continent. I have heard lots of great stuff about CeraVe and will definitely be grabbing when my current line is exhausted. Thank you for the very informative content. Keep safe and keep filming. Tx
Aw thank you so much! 💞 yes it’s been terrible here 🙁 so heartbreaking. That is great to hear about Australia though! Stay safe. And I will, 3-4 new videos weekly 😊
James Welsh ones said cerave is the "fruit and vegetables" of skincare as it is good but boring, and as much as I want clear skin I can feel that on another level 😩
Helena I remember that video. That’s what made me unsubscribe from his channel. I figured, how much can I trust his opinion now that I know he’d bash a brand just because it looks boring. Sucks, because I did enjoy his videos up until that point. I’d rather have calm happy skin for an affordable price than symptomatic skin at the expense of pretty packaging.
Cristal S Right? If you don’t already, I’d suggest following Hyram. I found him off of a recommendation and he’s honestly trustworthy and authentic. He’s been a great source of info for me.
Zer0rchestra the info he gives is great but i find it sketchy hat he has affiliate links to products he doesnt like. James also gives good info but the products man Edit: specifically this one ruclips.net/video/Lzr36MK5zww/видео.html But he did say there were affiliate links
The eye cream burned the heck out of my eye skin - it took a week to return to normal. It truly was chemically burned. I've read many others have had the same reaction. Thank you for this post.
CeraVe is a GREAT line of skin care! I have very dry skin and use the big tub of Moisturizing Cream ALL over my body and face... and it works wonderfully. It is also highly recommended by Dr. Dray (on YT) who is a Dermatologist. She really stresses to NEVER use fragrance. So the CeraVe line is perfect. Thx for such a great review of these products. (the Purple line is best for dry skin and works well)
Just purchased this from Amazon, any UK people here this cost me £34 for next day delivery too. I trust this product and I’m sure this will work great on my skin. I have red sensitive skin on my face sometimes and the main reason I got this.
Hi! I have the same skin type as you and I’m struggling to choose between the cleansers. Do you mind telling me if you use the hydrating or foaming cleanser? Thanks!
@@estela5363 I have oily skin and I'm loving the foaming one so far. I use it morning and night and it does not strip my face. However, my skin is not sensitive and I'm fairly oily.
I have such sensitive skin and found cerave moisturizing lotion. It is the first lotion that does not make me break out, even in my legs after I shave, its perfect. I love the deep hydrating and retinol cream also.
Abbey hi I am a new subscriber I wanted to say thank you so much. You have just taught me how to take care of my skin correctly and what to look out for and I will look at more of you videos just for information. I am 57 yrs old and not an expert in products😍
I would love for you to do a video that just explains all the different ingredients and why someone would want to use them. I’m confused about niacinamide. My skin tends to run dry in the winter and I’m afraid that this ingredient will make my skin more dry? Having a video that just lists out ingredients like pep ties, all the different types of acids etc. would be so very helpful!
New sub! I used La Mer Cream until I found out is has FRAGRANCE 😖!!! Switched to Cera Ve and fell in love!!! No need to spend $400 on a tiny jar any more!
I would love it if you showed the product a bit longer in your description; so that we can be sure to find the right one or show them on a split screen. I loved your explanation and love that there are affordable products that do what we need. Thank you
I do product close ups in my reviews now 😊 this was one of my first so I was still learning! But all the products are listed in my description box- hope that helps!

I love ceravii Been using their hydrating cleanser , SC Their Am and pm moisturizer And ceraviii in the tub and their night cream The purple range is sooo goood
Hi Abbey, how strange, I popped all these cerave products into my Amazon basket last night and here you are doing a review on them. I'm so very grateful to you for reviewing these products in depth for us. I'm super excited to checkout my basket!! Sending you love and hugs from here in the UK and please stay safe xx
This was very helpful and you did a very thorough job in describing how and when to use these products, morning or evening. It seems to me Cerave would cover all skin care needs, except for prescripion retinoid whuch can only be obtained througha doctor. Great job!
I really like the CeraVe cream cleanser for myself, but I'm also using it to teach my daughter to wash her face. She's still young and worried about getting cleanser or soap in her eyes. This is so gentle. She uses it in the shower to wash her face.
Elisabet Elisabet I have the foaming cleanser for like 3 days and I use it morning and night and it feels really amazing but the daily moisturizing lotion burns my face and I don’t know why
Great review...so straightforward and informative ! I have been using the foaming cleanser and lotion for years without any reactions I’ve had in the past. Tried L’Oréal Revitalift and woke up with bloodshot puffy eyes! Should have known better😆 Definitely going to try the moisturizing cream.
Cerave products are too comedogenic for my skin. I’ve learned that any skincare product that promotes soothing properties means it has oil. The same with Vanicream.
I am as well and if anything it’s helped my acne. I just make sure to stick to their products for oily skin for the most part unless I’m going through a phase of dry skin!
The moisturizing cream is still amazing. I have oily skin and it's the only moisturizer I use and it doesn't break me out! I love that is also never feels greasy on my face but it's super moisturizing. Good luck!
The PM lotion from CeraVe will be great for the face, because it has Niacinamide to help control your oils. There regular plain jane lotion will be great for the rest of the body. The only difference in the inclusion of Niacinamide in the PM lotion.
For my understanding the second ingredient on that eye cream is niacinamide ! So don’t go just by the front ... cerave just like to Highlight that all products has Haulloronic acid and ceramides but not all of them are make Equally
Which cleanser should i used for myself? I have oily eyelids , nose & just a bit in my forhead , cheeks & THE REST IS NORMAL ? I can’t decide between the foaming facial cleanser or the SA cleanser

Cerave is the way to go. No tacky-sticky feeling.
Agreed!
What is the basic skin care starter kit you recommend for normal to oily skin what are the steps
I feel the exact opposite. They feel like they just sit on my skin clogging my pores and I broke out. It did not feel moisterizing either :(

“If your skin is pissed off..” HAHA yes i love that !

I have similar issues :( what of CeraVe has helped your eczema? Hope you can share, take care, and thanks for sharing your story.
I didn’t know I wasn’t alone! Awesome dud, thx for sharing your story and routine.
That is crazy, my story is exactly the same is you just described. Even the accutane 5 years ago thing! Lol
I have only used the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser for like a week and honestly, I cannot say anything bad it does NOT lack any hydrating effects and I love it!
So glad it’s working well for you 😊😊
what moisturiser do u use it with
Their new “renewing SA cleanser” is amazing!!! It’s like their foaming cleanser but with salicylic acid. Not stripping at all but cleans the skin perfectly. Def give it a try! ❤️
Salicylic acid has never agreed with my skin! Such a bummer but glad it works so well for you 😊
I haven't seen this yet. Hoing to be looking out for this one.
In my search for a good salicylic acid cleanser, I am currently using the Inkey List 2% Salicylic Acid Cleanser. What’s your opinion on it?
James Le How has the inkey list cleanser been for you? Do you like it?
That’s great! Of course! ♥️
cerave hydrating cleanser changed my skin. i always thought because i had oily skin i should use a foaming cleanser and this one was the trick 🥺🙏🏻🙌🏻
It’s sooo good!!
do you use it day and night?
Ruta Hailu yup! sometimes just at night tho if my skin isn’t oily in the am
Is the CeraVe sunscreen tacky and sticky?
CeraVe is the only brand I trust to put on my face!! Great vid 😄
It’s the best!! Thanks 🤗
what about cetaphil? its the master race!
Im in the UK and Cerave has been a game changer for my skin,I’m 65 ,I use both the foaming cleanser and the hydrating cleanser,at last my sensitive skin feels better than it ever did X😊
That’s so amazing!! ♥️
Couldn’t agree more! Like where was this when my hormonal acne was really brutal 😫
Exactly!! Couldn’t agree more 😊
If I use the moisturizing lotion, do I still need to use something named cream?
Unless you love the feel and smell of a fabulous cleanser!
Your eye makeup is on point!!!! Beautiful!
Thank you! ♥️
They are so great! And completely agree I always use micellar water or ponds cold cream first for makeup removal! 😊
Cerave supplemented with The Ordinary is all I need! Bring on the glow, baby!
Also, your eye look is absolutely amazing!! Make a video about how you get that beautiful gradient color!
Glow girl glow! 🤩 I just filmed that actually! Yay!
Which products from the brand do you use? I'm so interested to know your routine. Haha
@@SharDances lol same 💀😂
Same here.
I have dry eczema prone skin and my husband has combo skin and the hydrating cleaner works amazing for both of us
That’s amazing!! ♥️
I'm almost 42 with acne-prone skin, rosacea, and eczema and the CeraVe brand is the ONLY brand that has worked. I've tried MANY brands, but they only irritated my skin more. I tell everyone about this brand.
I’m so glad it’s worked for you! That’s amazing ♥️
rebeccaandsteve robinson Have you ever tried La roche posay? Because i also have acne-prone skin and rosacea and i’m wondering if cerave is better than la roche posay (i’m using that right now)
Calmed my Rosacea as well. Cera/Ve and coconut oil as a make up remover works wonders on my skin
Hakuna Matata for me, cera/Ve works better than la roche posay
What products did you use?
Feeling so relieved.
their AM lotion with SPF 30 is a great skincare addition. we all need that sunscreen, and getting it with your moisturizer ensures you won't forget!
My mom gifted me that recently I love it!!
You should always use a standalone SPF. If it is combined in a different product, it is watered down. So that SPF 30 claim, would only end up a 5. 10 if you're lucky. And that is if you are applying a tsp of product to the face. You're not as protected as you think you are, and brands really should know better.
@@jennramsey5016 All sunscreens are moisturizers with sun protection. They just did reverse marketing and called this one a moisturizer.
I hope they see this and update it! x
lenadahling which night cream? The purple tub one?
@@jessicaapearl Yes, the Skin Renewing one.
I just splurged about 60$ in cerave because of you and hyram :)
I hope you love 😊♥️
Love CeraVe simple ingredients and no fragrance (very important) also love Vanicream, best cleanser!I have many skin issues and its help!
That’s so great! Love it too 😊
I'd just like to honestly complement you for such an informative, in-depth video. I feel that everything you say is loaded with information and it really distinguishes you from a lot of other reviewers on RUclips.
Thank you!
My dermatologist suggests Cerave for my Eczema. She said the lotion is great but the cream is better. Like wearing a light jacket with the lotion but a winter coat for the cream. Cerave ROCKS!
I have been trying skin care for years and have used this for about a day and a half and my skin had cleared up alot
That’s amazing!!
what cerave moisturiser do u use
I always use micellar water before using that cleanser! Definitely wouldn’t work on me for makeup removal either!
CeraVe is amazing. My dermatologist told me use it head to toe. I've always used the tub but, recently purchased the PM moisturizer ( Dr. says use that during the day with your serum).
Love CeraVe ♥️
So good!!
That’s amazing it did that for you! ❤️
Abbey Yung Yeah it really is ❤️
Even the normal cera ve daily moisturizer smoothed my bumps, ceraVe is awesome
I don’t use a physical exfoliator either! They’ve always made my skin feel so dry & raw. Couldn’t agree more- no business!
I’ve been loving those too!! Of course ❤️😊
Ugh yes I am just preparing myself for that 😫 I’ve been acne prone my whole life so not even going to get my hopes up 😂
Abbey Yung I feel you girl I expected my skin would be fine but nope. Good luck tho when you finally do get pregnant ❤️
Thank you I’ll need it 😂❤️❤️
I use that big tub for PM and the lotion pump for AM. It's gonna last me for ages and I have no regrets! Amazing brand.
Yesss so affordable when you consider how much product you get! Agreed 😊
This is so wild! I just found your channel through your GRWM! Then this morning I needed to figure out a new skincare routine and decided to look up reviews of Cerave and stumbled across your video during my search. Thanks so much for uploading! I value your thoughts and your skin looks amazing!
No way that is perfect timing 🤗 Thank you so much! I take my recommendations really seriously so I’m so glad you think so! ❤️❤️
I use all Cerave products. Vitamin C serum.foam facial cleanser, night cream and mosturizing all by Cerave. I am 84 years old but nobody believes my age. They say I am only 50 years old. I tried many brands but Cerave products, the best. Thank you much for all your info.
The cream saved my face from the tretinoin peel 😂❤️ the hydrating cleanser is awesome
Yesss tret can be brutal for so many! Agreed love that cleanser
Which cream?
So I ordered some cerave products and I am hopeful that it will work🤞
Yesss grapefruit extract is definitely an irritant. Cerave will be such an upgrade! ♥️
Maybe you already have addressed this, but i have a lot of discoloration (melasma ?)on my cheeks. What do you recommend for this?
Idk why so many people hate on CeraVe! it has really worked for me so far
I know I am in that boat right now... just have to wait for my derm to reopen so I can get a prescription 😫
Great tip! 💞
Yay for good skincare! ❤️
I love Cerave!! It's excellent!! No sticky feeling at all. I have very dry skin. I love this stuff!! ❤
Yesss!
I was thinking about purchasing these serums but i wasn't sure. I've been having a lot of skin issues lately, especially on my face. It's been dry, flaky and irritated. Thanks for the very detailed review. I appreciate it.
Of course! Happy to help 😊
No sunscreen SPF products? Liked seeing all the comparisons of Cerave. Thanks.
I didn’t have any at the time because I have a lot of sunscreens to get through! I did try out their SPF 50 after this and it left a terrible white cast! Here are my SPF faves of the moment: ruclips.net/video/DJljpfjrCt4/видео.html
Sorry wrong link! Here’s the right one: ruclips.net/video/AJ5oelDSS98/видео.html
Hi! I have recently started adding cerave products to my night routine. after years of expensive brands for my bight routine, a friend got me hooked on cerave face wash for the last year and i love it. Recently I've started using a few other cerave products and I've followed this video but still afraid I'm doing too much product or wrong order.
**at night I bought and started to use:
cerave hydrating facial cleanser for normal to dry skin, then I started using these at night but not sure what order I should use in:
💠cerave eye repair cream
💠cerave skin renewing gel oil
💠cerave skin renewing retinol serum
💠cerave skin renewing nightly exfoliating treatment
💠skin renewing night cream
**for days I bought and started to use:
💠cerave skin renewing vitamin c serum
💠PM facial moisturizing lotion (used to use estree lauder day wear moisturizer)
is all of this too much? unnecessary? what order?
I know I might sound dumb with this, but the daily moisturizing lotion can go on you face, right?
Yes 😊
Idk why but you sounded so cute I just wanted to give you a hug
Yes it says face and body
CeraVe has an AM lotion that has SPF.... (which I have and use) but I use the big tub of their Moisturizing Cream ALL over my body including my face. It is great to use immediately when you get out of the shower and your skin is still slightly wet. It will help to hold that water into your skin. I have VERY dry sensitive skin and this works great for me. (and I have tried many high end products that either aren't as good OR are not worth the price over the CeraVe line.)
Love it when the affordable option is the best option! 😊
I am so glad to be able to help ♥️♥️
It’s the #1 recommenced dermatologists recommended skincare line!
Thank goodness it’s affordable for that reason! 😊
Please which one would be good for stretch marks removal. Thanks
Cerave literally saved my sensitive skin! I will never ever stop! ❤️❤️
That is such a relief!! Yay for good skin ♥️
James Welsh ones said cerave is the "fruit and vegetables" of skincare as it is good but boring, and as much as I want clear skin I can feel that on another level 😩
Haha if they had cute packaging that would be the best! But product quality > package quality in my book
Zer0rchestra same, he lost my trust in that video too. And products he sometimes recommends have frangrance which is super irritating for me 😟
Cristal S Right? If you don’t already, I’d suggest following Hyram. I found him off of a recommendation and he’s honestly trustworthy and authentic. He’s been a great source of info for me.
Zer0rchestra the info he gives is great but i find it sketchy hat he has affiliate links to products he doesnt like. James also gives good info but the products man
Edit: specifically this one ruclips.net/video/Lzr36MK5zww/видео.html
But he did say there were affiliate links
The eye cream burned the heck out of my eye skin - it took a week to return to normal. It truly was chemically burned. I've read many others have had the same reaction. Thank you for this post.
Cerave is amazing. My skin hasn’t been this nice in years
Yay! 😊
FINALLY a you-tuber who is intelligent and well informed on skin care! Also how great is her skin?! Very thankful for finding this channel.
😊♥️ thank you so much!
(the Purple line is best for dry skin and works well)
I totally agree! I’ve been loving it so much 😊 yes that night cream from the purple line is sooo amazing!
The night cream is the best! Leaves your skin looking refreshed and smooth, especially around the eyes.
Yesss I love the formulation!
CeraVe also has an AM moisturizer that has SPF. I use it every morning to add another layer of protection from the sun.
All about the extra protection!
Just purchased this from Amazon, any UK people here this cost me £34 for next day delivery too. I trust this product and I’m sure this will work great on my skin. I have red sensitive skin on my face sometimes and the main reason I got this.
I love cerve! I have oily-combo skin and Cerve saved my skin.
It’s so great!!
Which one do you use ? The hydrating or foaming ?
I use both! Cream cleanser during colder days and foam during summer.🤗
I have such sensitive skin and found cerave moisturizing lotion. It is the first lotion that does not make me break out, even in my legs after I shave, its perfect. I love the deep hydrating and retinol cream also.
amazing!!
Im so glad youtube recommended you. This was very well done and you really explained it well. I am in need of a new cleanser and moisturizer.
Thank you so much for the sweet comment! I’m glad I was able to help ♥️
I use both cleaners. Start with the cream to cut my sunblock then the gel onto of the cream to break and lift everything up. Works so well.
Such a good method!!
Abbey hi I am a new subscriber I wanted to say thank you so much. You have just taught me how to take care of my skin correctly and what to look out for and I will look at more of you videos just for information. I am 57 yrs old and not an expert in products😍
Hi! Yay thank you for subscribing so happy to have you here! ♥️ I am so glad to be able to help 😊
This is on my list!
New sub! I used La Mer Cream until I found out is has FRAGRANCE 😖!!! Switched to Cera Ve and fell in love!!! No need to spend $400 on a tiny jar any more!
Yay thank you for subscribing! 💞 YES it does 😂 horrible that it’s so expensive! Can we all go fragrance free in the skincare industry?
I would love it if you showed the product a bit longer in your description; so that we can be sure to find the right one or show them on a split screen. I loved your explanation and love that there are affordable products that do what we need. Thank you
I do product close ups in my reviews now 😊 this was one of my first so I was still learning! But all the products are listed in my description box- hope that helps!

Agreed! Love that night cream when I need extra moisture!!
Great video, loved it, Actually watched in order to help Her decide which skin care she would be the best fit for Her
Love Cera ve!! The moisturizing cream gave me hives so had to toss it but everything else I’m obsessed with ❤️❤️
I’ve heard some people have issues with that one! Glad everything else works for you though 🤗
What a coincidence 😊 I’m so glad this helped! stay safe as well!! Lots of love from the US 💞
I would love to see more videos like this where you review the entire brand
Ahh I wish I could pay for all of that!
I LOVE CeraVe. My skin was dry and flaky. Not any more! This stuff really saved my skin
amazing!
So glad cerave is available in Europe now 😍
Omg yes that’s exciting 😍
I love how she replies to so many comments. She is so helpful. :)
😊 I try my best to keep up with as many as I can!
@@AbbeyYung -And you're doing a great job. 🤗
I've enjoyed the CeraVe Vitamin C Serum.
That’s great! One I haven’t tried 😊
Hey everyone some other good skin care brands are:Florence by mills cetifill drunk elephant garnier and farmicy Hope this helps
This was very helpful and you did a very thorough job in describing how and when to use these products, morning or evening. It seems to me Cerave would cover all skin care needs, except for prescripion retinoid whuch can only be obtained througha doctor. Great job!
So glad this helped! Yes Cerave covers just about everything for me. Thank you! ♥️
I really like the CeraVe cream cleanser for myself, but I'm also using it to teach my daughter to wash her face. She's still young and worried about getting cleanser or soap in her eyes. This is so gentle. She uses it in the shower to wash her face.
That’s a great idea! 💞
doesn't work with me. Everyone is different!
Totally! Such a bummer
I agree with you. CERAVE SKINCARE caused me to get cystic acne. I had to be put on antibiotics to treat it.
I agree. Got break outs.. Cetaphil working for me with a washcloth
Same girl, the struggle is so real. Trying out products that people say it works great but it doesn't work for you at all 😔
Elisabet Elisabet I have the foaming cleanser for like 3 days and I use it morning and night and it feels really amazing but the daily moisturizing lotion burns my face and I don’t know why
Used this the first time in my sister in laws bathroom and ive been hooked ever since! They feel amazing! Good to know theyre good for you too!
Yesss. win win! (Plus another win for them being affordable 😊)
Thank you! So glad you liked it. Oh no that’s terrible! My under eye area is very sensitive too. Yes that’s a great one.
Question Abbey 🙏 How/when would you incorporate the CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream with your Tretinoin routine?
Cerave products are too comedogenic for my skin. I’ve learned that any skincare product that promotes soothing properties means it has oil. The same with Vanicream.
That's what makes me nervous from trying Cerave. I'm very acne prone
I am as well and if anything it’s helped my acne. I just make sure to stick to their products for oily skin for the most part unless I’m going through a phase of dry skin!
Can the cleanser be used to remove eye makeup? If not, what do you recommend for eye makeup removal?
I'm thinking of getting cerave tube lotion but my skin is oily acne prone so will it suit me? I wanted it for hydration btw
Their lotions would be best for oily skin instead of the creams! 😊
There is a Cerave Am that has sunscreen in it. That is for the face along with the pm.
Yes I got that after this video 😊
Which cleanser should i used for myself? I have oily eyelids , nose & just a bit in my forhead , cheeks & THE REST IS NORMAL ? I can’t decide between the foaming facial cleanser or the SA cleanser
