These keyboard look like they were left in a hot car for too long
They look how your fingers naturally rest
You don't have a problem, you have solutions!
Would love to see a dactyl review
Same
Dactyl! Ortho is cool and nice to have! Haven't had the chance to try out something that isn't flat or flat and tented so far personally, but it's certainly a unique board.
The dactyl would be choice. Been using mine for over a year and program for about 8 hours a day mon-sat. Started having wrist pain a few months before I got it and it went away completely after about a week. I was using a TGR alice beforehand.
I'm not trying to sound like a gatekeeper, but as someone with wrist issues, alice is only mildly ergo. After i started getting pain, i got an alice board. It helped but only had a very minor effect. Split ortho is truly ergo. I dont even need to wear wrist brace anymore thanks to my split boards.
THIS COLLECTION IS SO COOL! Full video with them all showcased?
I had the fancyalice 66 which I really liked and now im using the coarse 60 and I'm really a huge fan, the bounce plus the ergonomics is just amazing
dactyl is best for your hands all staggered boards give you rsi
The dactyl mani form is a piece of art.
That dactyl is so cool omg
Been using a dactyl manuform mini for a few years now. Love it.
I vote for the dactyl, mostly cause it looks more fun
I've been dying for a big keyboard chanel to adventure into building a hand wired ergo keyboard!
That’s good thinking with the leftover F keys
What key switches do you have for the first one ? It sounds so quiet yet a bit colicky. I love it
I’m gonna say the Keychron. Not the most interesting of the 3 but you just built it. Plus I’m thinking of getting that exact keyboard and would be interested to know what you think about it.
All of them! you just switch them each day or during the day, that's what I do
You should use the real split one (with the split blue wrist rest).
I've never seen an ergo keyboard and this is freaking me out, in a bad way... but it's also peaking my curiosity
I REALLY wish I knew Keychron was coming out with the Q10 b4 I bought their Q8. After a great black Friday deal, I SHOULD be happy with the Q10, external matching 10-key and wooden palm rest I now have, and am for the most part, but darn it if I don't COMPLETELY want one of the new Dactyl/Manuform keyboards with the built-in wrist rests! 😕🤭😒
You should also throw Kinesis Advantage360, ZSA Moonlander, and some Corne keyboard to the mix as well 😁
The first one you every had as a custom
The dactyl!
I love dactyls
I'm looking at replacing my TWS(firmware issues are killing me) with ZSA's Moonlander
The first and last are actually Alice layout
Curious what do you think about the Alice layout? I have contemplated getting one for myself but I’m not sure if I’ll like it.
The kbdfans
Hipiyo biggest nightmare
Yeti by Axol Studio also looks so good 👀✨
I'm actually really curious of the split ergo will be better over the long period compared to the non-splits. Is that something you can investigate?
This video explains the philosophy of splitting the keyboard pretty well ruclips.net/video/rrska7UU7BE/видео.html
It’s time to Chary
when you said dactyl i assumed the strange shape was for polydactylism haha
I am building a custom keyboard tomorrow, what is the thockiest switch?
@dingus well yeah but he didn’t ask for that
Dactyl!!!
There is only one answer to this: whichever meets your needs best!
That is entirely subjective, and we can’t read your mind and know what fits you most comfortably.
Dactyl looks only really useful if your using the function keys a lot.
They run qmk, so you make your own keymaps and layers and stuff. I get she just didn't have enough key caps for the thumb clusters and just used fkeys
Ah that makes more sense, I was wondering why it didn't start at F1.
Do you know about dygma defy?
Ergo dox fam
Where are the links?
Keebio iris
My issues with most split ergos is an insistence on symmetrical halves. They remove most of the keys on the right, expecting my 40 odd years of muscle memory to just adapt. Well, months with an Ergodox taught me it doesn’t adapt.
But most non-split ergos keep those right-hand keys in place and are immediately usable while still being somewhat better than a standard layout.
I swear by my X-Bows keyboards. Easy to adapt to and they feature huge ALT keys that are useless for Windows but great as CMD keys on a Mac.
Can I have one
E
Hey!
All of these keebs have way too many keys. How about a QAZ keyborb?
Idk
get yourself corne keyboard)
I have the Dygma Rise for my hand pain ❤️ so glad its possible to get different keyboards ! I struggle writing on "normal" ones!
consooooom
you need to get a dygma defy that's a real split keyboard and get it fully tented.
kbd
I think that would hurt me more than it would help. I can hardly type accurately on a normal keyboard
you're forgotting you have 10 extra fingers elsewhere , just saying
Now hear me out….. how about a normal one……. Like.. a normal person?
You sound exactly like Violet from The Incredibles lmao
DACTYL MANUFORM. I think I have to use my hands and legs to learn how to write with this 😂. This is just a joke pls don't get offended anyone...
