My family sold these two Pintos from my father in laws estate to Rev and Ole Man and we absolutely loved this video. Thanks for sharing and I know my father in law is smiling down from heaven.
We are so pleased that yall have watched and enjoyed... We are so happy to have gotten these cars running and hopefully back on the road... Thanks again for allowing me to own them and share these with our viewers... Thanks again.
Rev, I haven't watched the video yet but I wanted to tell you the Pinto remains my favorite car. I had one as a 16 year old and many after that. While people today love complexity in their cars, I love simplicity.
@@isaacsrandomvideos667 Yes they are. I daily a 1963 Plymouth Savoy and I will stick with that. Sure I have to open my door with a key, but I can make that sacrifice.
@@RevStoration I am always excited to see Pintos. People wrote them off along time ago but they were great cars.. I had two cool Cruiser wagons with the port holes. I would daily one again.
My Father, God rest his soul bought a 1975 Pinto Squire Wagon with the Cologne V6! That Pinto was peppy!!!! He bought it around 1981, it was a very reliable car and even had A/C!!!! we grew up in a little town in Connecticut (in the sticks, lol).
Talk her into driving it once. I had a 73 pinto runabout years ago. I absolutely loved it. One word of advice, if you put 8 adults in it, beware. The rear fenders will rub the tires. Oh, and don't hit any bumps.
Mustang II, Pintos, Mavericks, Ford sure was horsing around in the 70’s. I’ll bet those shoes get more miles put on them than those Pintos, LOL! Actually, these have become rare cars, you never see them, even at shows. It’ll be nice to see them cleaned up. Unique find, Rev, sounds like you bought them right.
Keep working on NikkiT Rev. She will come around. Heck, I had several Pintos over the years and got well over 100K on them. Best little get around car ford ever built. FYI the 2.0 or 2.3 were the best motors to have in them.
Hi Rev and the Ole Man. You did well there with these two. I am surprised that the rubber cam belt didn't break after all the time they have been standing. Cam belt breakage was very common on Ford pinto engines in the UK in the 70s and 80s. Great stuff as always and another enjoyable video. Cheers Chris.
I love your successes! I didn’t have a Pinto, but I had a “77 mercury Bobcat with a 4 speed that I loved. I brought my oldest son home from the hospital in it.
I had a '73 Pinto squire wagon that was given to me by my Father in Law I drove it to work for about a year and the transmission went out on it so I donated it. But my wood grain paneling looked good on both sides and as a matter of fact my Pinto Squire had the same green paint job as yours. Ah yes memories of long ago and I traded up quite a bit further than that now. But its always good to see you get those old cars running. Thanks for another great video Rev.
When I was a teenager I almost bought a pinto like the runabout you got except light blue with a automatic it was actually in great shape it was probably a 10 year old car now back then people laughed at Pinto’s but I wanted a car so bad I do care what it was then a few days later found a lime green white interior Pontiac Grand Prix it was a 1975-76 one of those years and I bought it instead so seeing the pinto brought back some memories
I had a squire back in the 80’s as my work car. Really enjoyed it. The timing belt is very easy to change and should be the first thing you do on both of them. Had three of those engines, the squire and two Rangers. Always had real good luck with all of them.
Well it looks like you got yourself a pair of running pintos, one more and you got a heard 🐎🐎🐎 great job guys, always love your videos and may God be with you all 👍☮️🇺🇲
Hey rev and old man , good to see you all again. Amazing those cars run after all those years. If any one gonna get em running it be you and dad. Crazy stuff. Keep trucking. Peace out.
I got plain Jane green wagon with parsley swirl green cloth inserts. 1974 color name "Anti-establishMINT green" cleaned up with Rust-Oleum brown rust spots and car looks like peppermint. Chocolate chip ice cream. My 1970 coupe is robin egg blue. Both got under 82 k miles
I had 2 Pintos. My first was a red '75 Runabout hatchback with absolutely no power anything. No air Manual 4 speed Manual brakes Manual steering My second was a 1977 Runabout full glass hatchback with air, power steering and brakes. Flew to Oklahoma to buy and drove back to Michigan. 2.3 litre engines in both. I ran the doo doo outta both and were some of the easiest engines to service. Thanks for the memories.
Excellent video Rev :) Old Man :) get Pinto cars up running nice again also Rev you want now writing on Time Chain cover means on service did to engine like Time chain or belt or Thermostat changes plus fluid to or anything! But got get those car on road Lol!
I think I talked about the 76 Pinto run-a-bout I had , but it was a V-6 auto that had duel pipes pulled back to 2 resonators then into 1 muffler . Took it to the muffler shop has it duels all the way back to Monza mufflers at the right side , it sure opened that car up so it could breath . It had 2 cad converters , 2 resonators, then 1 big muffler , it was choked down .
After all the people got burned up from rear end collisions in Pintos, a lot of people parked them, I had one and sold it after people were being enveloped in flames. Good luck!
A man after my momma’s heart ❤️ lol 😂 she had a 73 wagon when I was a kid and that thing was tuned! We also had a 74 Run about lol and a run about parts car in the back yard lol 😂 would love to see Ford bring the pinto back!
