- I am back in the Family Car Graveyard with the "Ole Man." We will attempt to give this 1976 Volkswagen Beetle w/ 40 Ford Kit Life from the Dead. This is one the "Ole Man" purchased a couple years ago. She has been sitting for years! Can she be resurrected? Will she start for the first time in years? Will she drive for the first time? All these questions answered on this episode of RevStoration.

I agree. thanks.
The Beetle is cool but that Galaxie, oh man oh man I love it.
Got a 65 ltd 4dr hardtop galaxie. Been working hard to get mine back on the road. Love the way these cars look!
We will get it cranked for the first time in the next video..
I honestly think "Old Man" is the coolest, fellow North Ga Boy here
I know that without a doubt... He has fun...
Yes! As a Volkswagen super beetle owner, this makes me happy!
This was a really fun car to play around with and in... Hopefully, it will hit the road again before long...
14:36 SHE'S ALIVEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!💪
Roaring and alive

Thank you Nancy..
Mustie 1 would be mighty proud.
I am going to give his channel a watch.
That is one sweet running engine! Those tappits are adjusted perfect. I'd buy that in a heartbeat if mama would let me.
I understand... I have the same issue... God Bless
I love the beetle I'm interested for sure
She was even fun to ride in...
A belated Happy Birthday! NikkiT ~ 💜 ~
Thanks WM
Those old vw's are a blast
This one was fun to drive...
I would drive it like I stole it. Lol! I would love to have that VW to get out and ride around in on the weekends wrench and clean on.
You and me both!
Fire make it happener... Nice shout out 😉
Everyone loves Derek... @ViceGripGarage is the GodFather of the auto channels..
To much fun!!
Danny, we are having a great time..
I would drive that thing everywhere!! That is sweet!!!!
Its rocking because its runnin' on three!
She settled down after it got some heat in the engine..
I brought my middle son home from the hospital when he was born in a 73 Beetle. It had a 1963 40 horse engine. It was slow, but it always got me there!
You know what's blue and not very heavy? Light blue.
Loving the Dad Joke!
Thanks for the ride that was fun
Glad you enjoyed it
I love those VW Beetles. Good video. Happy Birthday, Nikki T.
Thanks Gene

Can't wait to see it cleaned up
We should have a clean em up video for alot of the Ole Man's cars.
Happy you are much better
Thanks David
Yes! VW with '40 Ford looking hood. There was also a Lincoln Continental hood offered too. I liked them, looked cool..
Rolls Royce as well
@@geraldschumaker5180 ahhhhhh....another one!!!
They have a few kits for them... I think the 40 ford kit is awesome..
@@RevStoration the '40 Ford was my favorite kit. I like the '40 Ford as well.
Those Mustang tail lights,,, kinda remind me of the '40 Ford tail lights, except the Ford's were Sergeant stripe shaped. That's what he was probably trying to mimick...
Rev I owe you a few apologies!! I have totally been slackin on my watching my favorite folks! Been busy (guess that's a good thing) but I am SO happy that I'm catching up now!! Hard to believe I didn't realize I missed seeing you and the Ol Man working together as much as I did until this video! Love it so much, you guys are so awesome together! I'm picking up a 64 Beetle here in the next month or so - hoping I can get it going, I might have to reach out for some pointers! Please tell everyone that I said hey, and tell Nikki T Happy Birthday! Again, thank you for taking us along on your adventures with all these cars....they are so wonderful. God Bless. Darren in TX
Darren, no apologies necessary... Thanks!
That would be one fun project VW car to restore.
We hope to get the VW going again... Thanks for watching..
I Love your videos its nice to see you have fun with your Dad and family.
We have a blast..
Good Having You Back With Your Father, Rev. Happy Birthday To Nicky T, God Bless..

That music 🎵🎵🎶 cracks me up and you two laughing 🤣😂
Having a good time with it.
@@RevStoration hey Rev, check out Griff Parkers newest Galaxy video of him painting it, not perfect but I know you would probably like to see it. Have a good day my friend
Glad you are better Great video rev keep them coming my friend.
Thanks 👍
Boy She will run!
I was happy she fired off...
Good ride in.woods
Fun time...
I wish I had that black galaxy I love those cars.
Our next video is all about the Galaxie
That’s a cool little body kit someone put on the VW. Not sure if they thought they would make a Mustang out of it or not, but I like the front end. Good times.
Not a mustang but it is still pretty cool.
Old people shouldn't go to the parts store, really Rev! Listen here young man, I might be old and have a good response if I remember what it was. Good one and there is such thing as too much fun according to the country song.
Thanks Richard... the Young Guys always need the Ole Guys around to keep us on our toes..
Proof you don't need a huge motor to have fun out driving around and that's actually a pretty cool looking little Volkswagen
So true... we had a great time popping the clutch on a Beetle... It is all about the experience.
@@RevStoration and being with family because life is way to short and it's also about the memories
We love the show rev and daddy some of these first start hot rod videos I have to watch after family is in bed due to language
We try to keep it clean... I don't have to repent after working on a car most of the time...
Thx Rev
Any time!
I love both those cars, good luck
Thanks 👍
Well first off Happy birthday to Nikki T and second what a fun video working on a lil VW/Ford with your dad great video and fun one seeing you both back at it again great memories
Thanks Nathan...
Y'all sound hilarious with hm fussing at you driving to fast🤣🤣
He does that all the time... I have to tell him to go faster.
Seems to be in pretty good shape. If the rockers are relatively rust free, I'd keep it!
Those old bugs were exactly what they were built to be. They weren't fast, they weren't fancy but they would start and get you where you need to go all day long.
Jeff, this one seems to have alot of life left... Fun little ride..
Great job
Thanks man.
Happy birthday Nikkitee ..🇮🇶🇮🇶🇺🇲🇺🇲
She said Thank You, Salman!
Man Iam wearing my VW shirt today too!!!!!
I need to get one... thanks for watching..
Happy Birthday Nikki T
She said thank you Jimmy...
Good lord it is running!
I was happy to hear it pop off too...
Rev.Storation I have a new for the old VW yours and daddy's fun bug looks like a fun little car
It was fun to ride around the circle in..
Happy Birthday
Thanks Joseph
Glad to see your back guys ,the cars look amazing ,you will get them started I have faith in you guys good luck
Thanks 👍
Those old bugs were a lot of fun to play with. Back in the '70's you could buy them all day long for $50 OR $100. One in exceptional condition might cost a little more. Over the course of about 4 years, I had a '59, '63 and '68. I beat the daylights out of them, had a ton of fun and still managed to sell them for more than I paid.
This one was fun to drive... even though my boot was too big for the pedals.
Love the beetle
Thanks...
Happy Birthday Nicky T :) I hope have excellent day with work plus families & friends to share surprises with you also wishes come true and many more years ahead to also wonderfull year ahead to and much more ! Not sure day your special be but Rev :) need put day it is !
Thank you so much!
I remember that kit. A few people putting those on. Lot more VWs on the road in the 70s.
I like the look.
😊🙏🙏🙏😎😎 Happy Birthday🎂🥳
Thanks Leo.
I just love seeing how much fun you and your dad have together. Cherish these days!
We will!
The little vw would make somebody a good little car
Still has a lot of life left in her...
I'm not a VW person, but I actually like that bug with the forty Ford kit it has potential.
I agree.. I think the Ford Kit looks awesome on the ride.
What are your plans with this Vw ?
@@sinistercharger Hey are you trying to horn in on the car I was interested in? ok you can have it just joking around.
Great Stuff! 👍 Just got my 48 F5 bus running and soon driving it out of the woods!
Awesome... It is fun getting these old rigs up and running again.
@@RevStoration Yes it is! 👍
That Bug looks like Herbie's evil cousin. 😆
Herbie's goofy cousin that loves having a good time..
@@RevStoration The VW version of Mater. :p
Love it. Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I'm a big ford fan but I love the bug!
Me too... I think the Ole Man would have passed up on it, if it didn't have the kit on it.
It felt like l watched an old Woody Allen movie W/ the VW!
I will have to look it up.
Love the Intro 👍
Thanks PD
Cool bug
I think so too... Should be fun to drive.
I am so happy to see you and your dad working together... my dad showed me and my brother about cars in the late 60's once and then that was it... GOD Bless you all!
Don, I think we enjoy turning the wrenches on these old car and doing it together..
Your cobbing up the carburetor with mountain dew LOL!!
Probably so... we will not leave it that way for sure...
1600 dual port 😁😁😁😁😁
It has a little fire left in it..
Instead of "Bring the Thunder" you can "Do the Dew!"
Love it... Drop the Dew...
Love watching. You're video.s one of my favorite RUclips. So glad to see you and your father work together God Bless your family.
Thank you so much, Donnie... We are honored that you watch..
Nice punchbuggy!
It would fun to ride around the dirt road...
Hey Daddy.... Go get the siphon hose. LOL Sending an old person to the parts store is like asking a kid to find something in the fridge. Great video Guys!
Thanks for watching, OCG... Hopefully, the new shop is going to be roomie and have space for more classics, maybe a ford..
Just told my wife your April May joke, she laughed and called me a nut. I gave you the credit. Hehehehe.
I am glad she giggled inside...
I told my son your joke, he looked at me and said, "Dad, stop, just stop!" Thank you for the wonderful content!
Mine says the same thing... I still keep telling them though..
Those Bugs always want to run; doesn’t take much to awaken them. You need to put the gas in the little bitty tube in the carb’s throat so that the float bowl gets full. The fuel pump works; I bet you if you hook up the gas tank it’ll work fine. The ‘63 is cool!!
I think we had an clog from the tank.. we will give is a try another day..
Very fun looking VW. I've seen that front end kit before. Back in Elementary School remember seeing one parked at someone's house on the way to school. Never seen the back end modified like that before. Didn't see the topper on the F100 for long but it reminds me of the one my grandpa had on his 67 F250 Camper Special when the slide in sleep over the cab camper was out.
Ryan, I am going to have to take a couple pictures and show the truck with and without the top.. Thanks for watching.
I love watching you and your dad working on cars. I wish my dad was still alive then we could have fun working together. Keep up the videos and God bless you and your family
Nick, I am making sure that I do not miss out on the bless. Thanks for watching...
One awesome beetle
We like it too...
You gotta keep the vw like it is its very owsome I would drive up there
Thanks Bruce, I agree...
Well u have to keep her happy
Without a doubt... if Mama aint happy, aint no body happy! She had a great time, I do believe..
Oh happy day.
Thanks Wooley
Daddy is the Man!!!
NO doubt..
Happy birthday to Nikki T
She said, Thank you Lenny!
Really enjoy watching your videos you should have an hour long video
Thanks Charles... I try to keep it around 30 minutes... we may hit an hour show if we get alot of footage... Thanks for watching..
Just a heads-up those engines are notorious for the head bolts backing off and leaking.
She was still full of oil... we will have to check them.
That engine sounds pretty solid on that VW. Now if the transaxle is solid you have a good car.
I believe that it is good condition.
Rev! Good to see you up and about! I hope this is it for you...NO MORE COVID!! If you need to know more about VW's, watch Mustie1 here on youtube.
Now, THAT was a really cool, really FUN video! Thanks for sharing, Brother! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Nikki T!! Stay healthy and safe. God bless.
Lou, Thank you for watching and leaving encouraging comments..
Called a Monza exhaust!
Spent almost 20 years on and off working for a VW shop in Southern Illinois between truck driving jobs.
I have a reak soft spot for the old bugs.
We did engine rebuilds in by 8 out by 5 and I don't know how many restorations we did over the years along with building trikes and dune buggys.
Had thew molds and made buggy bodies our self.
Life of the old engine was belt, oil changes and valve adjustments.
Awesome vid Rev! Definitely not something you see every day, that’s for sure! The bug with the Ford Kit....that’s wild! I always enjoy you and the old man working together! Your old man needs to pull that sweet Town Car out and make a daily out of it! It looks to be in good shape too!
He drives one for a while and parks it while he drive another... We need to clean up a few of his rides...
@@RevStoration that’s the beauty of having plenty of “toys” to play with...you never get bored of your ride! I’m just a Lincoln nut myself, and absolutely LOVE the ride of those old Town Cars! The vid was awesome by the way, I even shared it with the Muncie, Indiana VW club!!
Hi Rev and Family..Im new to this channel..I love all American car, british vintage and VW bugs..this bug is stunning, would love to see it completely restorated..from a new friend across the pond,UK
GREAT EPISODE REV. YOU GUYS HAD TO MUCH FUN🤪
Thanks for watching...
Tell Nikki T Happy Birthday and she doesn't look a day over 16.
Thanks David
I want that 63 Galaxie
If it hits the market, I will let you know...
That's a col little custom bug I would clean that thing up and drive it if it was mine it's a cool little car for sure
I think it will make its way back to the road before long... Thanks for watching..
I spent 7 years in Germany and worked on a lot of air cooled VW's. Just be glad you don't have the electronic fuel injected engines like they had in the square backs. I had a 71 Type 3 square back here in the states and the fuel injection was a pain to keep on top of. If you disturbed the wires at all you spent an hour getting everything humming again.
Thanks for watching.
Yall were just having too much fun in that old VW. Keep it coming.
We probably had too much fun for so little Horsepower... it was fun though... What you think about the mustang tail lights...
@@RevStoration Not really sure about those. Look kinda weird. They looked like they might be in better shape than the ones on your Mustang so maybe swap???
We have a nice set for the mustang.. waiting for the shop to get finished so we can start working on it again!
@@RevStoration Looking forward to seeing the Mustang again. Let me know if you need help.
