Minelab Etrac goes deep as well. Great video.
Thanks so much for watching! I've never had the pleasure of using the Etrac but heard good things. Thanks again, Marcus
Good old Neil. We met him at detectival that first year we went. He showed Henry how to set up his machine to help find him his first Roman coin. He's a good knowledgeable bloke. Nice hunt, and it'll be great to see you in a couple of months, up in the Lakes ❤️☺️
Neil’s program is definitely one I enjoyed plugging in and using. Tones a little bit different but will soon get used to that! Hope you’re doing ok lovely man! Wish you were at Detectival next weekend but June will soon be here x
I really like the cross item, Marcus. And an old Ford Fairlane, how fun! I'm glad you found a program that makes the Manticore more user friendly. Awesome hunt!❤️
Thank you Cynthia - yes I loved the little toy car - makes you wonder what poor kid went home without it, and how sad they were to lose it! Hope all is well with you my dear friend!
Another great video Marcus and you're very welcome, looking forward to seeing your progress 👍
Thanks mate!! Really appreciated!
I’ll give the program a go and see how it performs 👍 shaune in Kent
Good luck mate
Thank you very much for the shout out Marcus. Another great video. How does the manticore compare to the Deus 11. Any advantages or disadvantages. Or are they different beast's. Many thanks wasp and Helen 🐝
The thanks are all mine! Really appreciate your support, as ever! I would say they both have their place in the fields to be honest. The Manticore struggles a bit on ploughed currently (in my opinion) and until they provide an update I will keep the D2 on the plough. Manticore loves the pasture!! Have a great week you two!!
Brilliant hunt Marcus brother that fathering was a cool find
Thanks Tezza mate! Hope you’re well pal
Great video as always. Glad you found a setting for the manticore that works mate. Will use it when I get mine lol
Sorry Si, just seen this - it was in my 'held for review' folder! Look forward to seeing you in the bar later pal
Hell yeah brother. Awesome program man. That mantacore is serving you well! That cross was sweet!
Happy Hunting 🍀
Thanks Shane mate! The cross thing turned out to be a very old mount, so very happy with that! Hope you, Kasey and the boys are well
Hi Marcus! Thanks for the video, interesting to get some insight into the machine. Nice detecting! 🙌🐄🥾☘️ cute car! Ooh interesting item the square cross thing! That's a cute little button. Well executed video! Love the coin! Isn't it amazing what's in the ground, just waiting to be discovered 😉
Aww thanks Tessy! Kind of you to say - I work hard trying to make the content fit together reasonably well but I am definitely no expert. Glad you enjoyed it though & trust your Simplex is treating you well! I am miles behind on everyone's videos but hope to catch up with your exploits soon! Hope you & the family are well x
Love this one :) I will try this "freestyle" program from Neil Jones on my Manticore :) Thanks for this great video.. Best regards from Norway
It’s a great program & definitely helps! I had great success with it on my latest video! Have a good weekend my friend
Great video Marcus. Best of luck in the run M8, cheers, John.
Thanks John mate, and really appreciate your kind words, sponsorship & support - it means alot my friend!
Hi Marcus, thanks for sharing mate, fantastic watch... So lovely finds, that cross button thing we have found one recently in Norfolk... No idea what it is though? Thanks again! Cya on the next! ☺️
Thanks Henry!! I am told they are medieval mounts - and there are quite a few on the PAS database I've seen, so pretty cool finds mate! Thanks as always for watching - I have been away this weekend so look forward to watching your latest soon
Lovely job Marcus lad, can't wait to have a play with a manticore 😀👍
My rates are very good pal!hehe Can’t wait to see you mate
Another fabulous episode ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cheers Gary mate! Always appreciated
Nice afternoon detecting Marcus glad you enjoying the new program. Lee’s Arteseal is brilliant so great for the weird shapes as well as everything else 😊
Thanks Lesley, hope you’re well! I definitely think the Arteseal is a winner & love the way it brings the patina out!! Have a great week! See you soon x
Another great video mate look forward to seeing you soon mate 👍
Cheers Ricky mate - I need to catch up on your vids mate. Back from a boozy Ireland so will catch up this week pal! Enjoy the EoE weekender!!
@@Notchedto11 thanks Marcus hope you had good time mate yeah looking forward to it if I don’t see you before see you end of month 👍
Playing catch-up mate I hope you are well. Nice little first find the toy car. I always say that when I'm digging holes ( be something nice ) lol. Nice little farthing never seen one like that before. Until the next one take care.
Thanks again John, always appreciate your support my friend
really like the cross artefact.. 👍
Manticore delivering once again.. 😎
Thanks John mate!! Hope you’re well. The cross turned out to be a medieval mount so that’s pretty cool!!
I gotta try that program.
It's definitely worth a go mate, seems to stabilise the Manticore in my opinion! All the best, Marcus
Nice going Marcus. Those crosses. I was told that they were off Victorian mourning picture frames. I have found them in big and small sizes. Glad the core is going well for you. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Morning Andrew mate. Thanks as always for watching my friend. The cross things are a bit perplexing actually….various opinions but one person has sent me some images of them from an artefacts website suggesting they could be medieval mounts! I would definitely take that! Hope you & Viv are doing well pal
Brilliant film Marcus really enjoyed it and really love that car find Cadillac open top or what ever, love it 👍🏻 and other great finds too well done 👍🏻 a really great channel Marcus pal
Kind words as always pal! Always appreciate you stopping by & never take your support for granted my friend
@@Notchedto11 always my pleasure to watch and like your films Marcus mate a cracking channel 👍🏻
Nice one mate!
Cheers Paul mate, appreciated as always my friend!
7:25 is an old square nail. Missing it’s head. 👍🏼
Thanks so much - I'm sure you are right. Sometimes on the field we see things that aren't there....the romantic or hopeful side of detecting.....when in reality most of it could just be general stuff....like a nail hehe! Thanks so much for watching
Good to know you like Neil's program, my sentiments exactly, catch you soon, Fat Chris 👍
Cheers Chris mate!! So pleased to see you spotted it and hope you liked the shout out pal! Great to meet you at the weekender, and thanks again for the sponsorship!! Take care my friend
Smashing video mate the Manticore looks a cracking machine, annoying that it's so chatty so hopefully you are now on track to calm it down.
Mate, if I could take the user interface / screen of the Manticore and pop it on to the Deus 2, I would have a world beating machine!! Thanks as always for watching mate - I'm about to watch your latest with Gaz!!
pilgrim badge, medieval 👍
Thanks Dwayne - I now have 3 of these so am very lucky to have them. You are right about the pilgrims badge, very cool! Thanks again mate
@@Notchedto11no problem, are they exactly the same? 3 replica jerusalem cross pilgrim badges in the same area could tell a story..
@@dwaynedibley5674 they are very similar in design but slightly different in size! I’ve found a few religious pieces on that permission now, so I do wonder whether it has some significance. Thanks again mate
Your cross has a Celtic look to it.
Thanks Steve, hope you are well my friend? The cross turned out to be a Medieval mount - quite a few on the PAS database so quite cool! Thanks as always mate
Another fine addition Marcus. Expect I'll see you at Detectival very soon buddy. Yeehaaah.... Hopefully find something good this time 😄
Cheers Del mate! Yes indeed. Hope to see you there mate…both of us feeling a bit brighter this time I hope!
@@Notchedto11 I had a terrible headache. Could've been my brother mind you 😄. Coming alone this time but driving up early Saturday which is a bit of a shame. I've a 12hr shift Friday and up at 4.30 which is never good. I was going to bring my nephew as a non-detectorist but all sold out. Last time I had to stay on a campsite a few miles out. Its a popular event. At least I got my ticket early 🙂
I sold the cross thing on ebay, got 250 for 1 and another went for 180
Thanks Michael - good to know mate!
Great stuff Marcus - btw that Vic Farthing could be from a maundy set... (Apologies if you've already sussed this...) Tnx agen, Bobby
Cheers Bobby! Thanks pal, I did work it out eventually so was quite pleased with that!! Thanks so much for watching mate, really appreciated! All the best
@@Notchedto11 Great stuff matey, and all best with the channel... B
the cross I have been informed is a knights templar cross. colchester treasure hunting club may have some similar ones posted.
Cheers Jeff, I’ve had a few different suggestions so will take a look at the Colchester site. Always good for info that one! Thanks again mate
Cool finds and interesting test of the new machine. I am very frustrated that there is still no sign of mine arriving. There is a mess over here
Oh wow, I really thought you would have yours by now mate! Hopefully not too long now! Hope all is well
I cant help thinking that that machine looks a bit heavy. Nice vid though buddy.
Oh it is mate, quite heavy indeed! It’s mad as a bag of frogs too….so needs an update to calm it down!!
Looks like you’re getting to grips with the Manticore! What’s your finds bag you’re using? Looks like it’s got plenty of room!
Cheers Andy - yes definitely enjoying the challenge of learning the Minelab now!! I got the finds bag from amazon - I love it mate. Tons of room and space for pinpointer etc too! Thanks for watching, really appreciated. Marcus
hi from expat in oz, just a little bit disapointed with the manticore very chirpy evan worse on a mineralized beach useing high trash in the parks here its better if you put heaps of disc on,literaly only leaving the middle line plus a couple of millimeters eather side good targets come up clear, targets near iron or ali can be cut short but still diggable if you sw to all metal to check.
Hi Roy! I definitely feel it needs an update to calm it down! Hoping the teething problems are soon sorted for everyone as it has so much going for it. Thanks for watching, really appreciate it mate. All the best, Marcus
Hi some nice finds, what type of spade are you digging with looks light ?
Thanks mate! It’s a great spade and was kindly donated to me by Mike & Rick at the Metal Detecting Channel. It’s a Black Ada Spartan Stainless Steel & is absolutely amazing. Lightweight but a beast!
Good effort Marcus, silver draught for the Manticore? 😆 Glad you have managed to find a setting that is more user friendly. I'd love to hear your opinion of it in 6 months and if you prefer it to the Deus2
First time in 5 digs I haven’t found silver mate! So it’s a one dig drought!hehehe
@@Notchedto11 wow talk about rapid response 🚓🚒🚑
Hahaha!!! I pressed send too quickly!! I already have an opinion of the 2 machines….I’ll tell you soon xx
@@Notchedto11 Haha OK mate. Looks wise Manticore definitely looks the part, and I am a very shallow person haha. I look forward to hearing your honest feedback
Well done mate. you only get to learn a machine by playing around with the setting. I like finding old cars. males you wonder what little kid would have been gutted about losing it.
nice job nobber 🙂👍
Cheers Jas mate - I think exactly the same when I find the little cars. I have about 6 now! Looking forward to seeing you in a couple of weeks pal!
It looks a little like a Jerusalem cross
You're right Frederick, that is exactly what it is. Apparently a few on the PAS site - some sort of mount I believe
Could it be a button then?
Hi there - if you are talking about the cross shaped piece - it was ID'd as a medieval pilgrims badge, which was very nice!! Thanks for watching, Marcus
Excellent. Thank you for letting me know
@@Notchedto11
FIRST 💪
Do you run the threshold??
Hi Kurt. Yes, I run the threshold at 8, with pitch at 1. Hope that helps
@@Notchedto11 Thank you, I'll check it out
6:20 in looks like a button?
Thanks John - will definitely take a look - long time ago this one :0)
If you had to choose between a deus 2 and a manicure, which would you go for? Thinking of getting back into it.
Thanks so much for watching, and glad to hear you’re thinking of getting back in to it. It’s a tricky one to answer at the moment….I’m still learning the manticore & feel it definitely needs an update to help some of its chirping & stability issues. I absolutely love the Deus 2….but the manticore screen / interface is much nicer. The Deus 2 is much lighter & wireless so if weight is an issue you may consider the D2. In answer, the jury is still out but can assure you they are both great machines! I’m taking the D2 out for the first time in ages this weekend so will be really good to get a feel for it again to start to make an honest comparison. You won’t go far wrong with either I’m sure.
Where did you get that shovel?
Hi Anthony, it’s a Black Ada Spartan Stainless Steel. They appear to be sold out on most sites atm but keep an eye out mate. LP do sell them, and if you decide to buy you can get 10% off by using my code NOTCHEDTO11METALDETECTINGUK at checkout. www.lpmetaldetecting.com 👍
