Great Hunt there Marcus, Sorry to hear about your dad, Stay strong. I believe your mystery object could be a shade holder for an old gas lamp. there would have been another 2 legs on it with hooks the same as the remaining one.

Excellent video again and great silver find. I found a similar silver something a couple of days ago, very close pattern match and size. It was Id’ed as an early post medieval dress fastener. Nice tribute as well 👍

Hi Marcus , top video mate as usual and a lovely tribute to a lovely woman i spoke to bill the other day and i am sure you can imagine how he feels , anyway nice finds pal the watch winder is a little gem and the silver will sit nicely in your display cabinet and the horse tack ring is probably a post medieval hand forged curtain ring people often mistake them for simple horse tack , it sounds as though your dad is having a bad time to i hope it all turns out ok , you take care my friend and stay strong best wishes and ATB Rob .
