Great video mate, and a beautiful George III silver mate. It was lovely to bump in to you on the dig. Also thank you so much for mentioning my channel and helping me get over the line to the 1000 subs. It’s very much appreciated my friend. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Thank you Doug! We had a lovely few hours on this one - just a shame the weather deteriorated so quickly and rained us off. Was so pleased for Jelly to unearth that fibula - such a nice lady. If you haven't already, be sure to stop by her channel - I am sure she will appreciate it. Hope you are holding up ok my dear friend - love to you & yours !
Thanks John mate - that's two weekends on the trot that I've been rained off (happened again this Sunday just gone) but still great to get out and dig some holes. The missus is not quite so enamoured with all the muddy gear I keep traipsing through the house though hehe!! Thanks as always pal
You and your crotal bells or part off lol. Well done on the silver bullhead and your other finds. Well done to jelly for finding the fibula. Great shout-out for Ollie mate.
Hi Marcus, good to see you out swingin and braving the rain, this is inspiring me to go detecting tomorrow - my only day to detect, but it has given heavy rain all day 😢 You had a great session there 2 bits of silver and lots of signals by the looks of it. Gotta love a George III silver coin, but you know exactly what I'm gona say here - its not a bullhead 😆 The bullheads are extremely rare to find, there is a certain type of Half Crown, and I believe possibly even a type of Shilling. On the portrait, you can see both his shoulders and the top of his back. I'll send you a pic! Stunning coins! Congrats to your friend for finding a Roman fibula. Nice to see you, to see you nice xox
Cheers Andy mate! We lost the will about lunch time as it got awful & think Godders had had enough! Always plenty of targets & fun though mate. Spoke to Carl about your suggestion re us & Gaz - think he said he'll have a chat with you! Also spoke to Gaz & told him he is welcome to stay here for as long as he likes! See you soon my dear friend!!
Blimey mate another back to back silver you lucky bugger!! Great stuff! Looked like a great day out despite the weather. I'm going to try to get along to more digs this year. Got one next weekend!! See you on the next one (in a minute!!)
Cheers Peter! Must admit I did wonder if that piece was jelly mould-like.....and glad you agree! The silver shilling is a beauty, so pleased with it. Thanks so much for watching & commenting mate! Much appreciated
That's a lovely kg3. I instantly knew what that lipstick thing was... We found one a while ago, and when we opened it it still had the red lipstick in it, as it's made mainly from oil, so hadn't perished. Lovely to see you out with everyone. ❤
Hello my lovely mate! so nice to hear from you, and thanks as always for the kind words & support! Didn't get much of Carl on camera this time as we were heads down before the rain came, but we had a good laugh! Hopefully get to see you all soon mate, miss ya xx
Thanks Shane mate!! Can't thank you enough for always tuning in & watching. Love to you, Kasey & the boys! Hope the house is getting back to normal slowly x
Cheers Del mate! as always, a pleasure to hear from you - hope you're not working too hard pal! Hopefully see you at Spring Detectival - it'll soon come around again! Take care bud
Definitely Vince! I always say that if I have one piece worthy of the cabinet then I've had a good day in the field! As it happens there were two or three on this one! Thanks as always pal, hope to see you soon
Lovely couple of bits of silver there mate especially the KG3 shilling I am still yet to find one I've only had a sixpence. Nice of you to shout out Olly he is such a nice guy we have become good friends whoch just shows what an amazing hobby this really is. ❤
Olly and his family are just lovely mate - still waiting for his invite to dig on his Roman fields though hehehe!! Just like farthings, I always think of you when I find KG3 silver!!
Smashing lot of finds Marcus love the bull head stunning detail on it. Bet Jelly was excited when she found her fibula well pleased for her. Catch you both on the fields soon 🤞
Thanks Lesley! Was hoping to see you on the Ramsey dig on Sunday - bumped into Gill. Jelly couldn't quite believe it, even when I stopped filming & I was trying to convince her!hehe Was so pleased for her. As for my bullhead, it's by far the best one yet! Thanks as always for stopping by my Golden friend x
Cheers Paul mate! I think I am still drying my stuff out from this one! Tough conditions but great muddy fun! Thanks as always my friend - hope to see you soon!
Cheers John mate.....that field was a target fest (as they often are with this club) and I tend to dig most signals.....no wonder my back aches by the end of it! Hope all is well my dear friend!
What a target fest you had Marcus my friend, plenty of interesting finds this adventure. You can't beat a bit of Bully mate, and that one was in very good condition. Looking forward to your next episode.
Thanks Andy mate - they are a cracking bunch on this club. I have been lucky to get to know a fair few, and they are so friendly! I always look forward to their digs, especially as the land is so good! Thanks again mate, enjoyed your latest! Look after that back!! Marcus
Cheers bud - was good to see you as always - looking forward to when warmer drier days return & we can dig & drink beer with the sun on our backs! Catch up soon mate
Cheers James mate! Was worth the mud and cold to winkle out that bit of Bully....so pleased with it. Hope you're ok mate, and thanks as always for watching & commenting - always appreciated!
Cheers Martin mate! I am so pleased with the bullhead, milled silver (especially the older ones) are definitely favourites of mine. Hope you had a lovely Christmas my friend.
Plenty of finds with some odd ones too, that apostrophe looks like a broken cam lock ?, you also had a piece from a liverpool snaffle bit, that mini lipstick is very cool as was your silvers, lovely bull head mate, still not found one, must be all the poor people round here, only had pennys and hapennys 🤣, good work Marcus. ATB Bill and Julie X 👍😊❤
Thanks Bill & Julie - hope you are both safe & well. I do love going out with the Colchester group - always target rich land, with plenty of good stuff & oddities too! I am miles behind on my videos so look forward to catching up on your exploits soon - I spotted the Beast found it's first hammered recently, so am looking forward to watching that one. Hope you have lots of lovely things planned for Christmas, and some digging weaved in too! Love to you both x
Thank you so much Cynthia - always appreciate your kind comments. I really enjoyed this hunt & pulling the video together. Hope all is well with you & yours x
Hey Marcus mate. 👋🏻😃 Great to see you grabbing double silver pal and you’re right about Olly. Top man with great content and he did hit his 1k. 🏆😃 Hope you’ve dried out and warmed up now!! 🥶 Love that tiny lipstick but Bulky wins that day doesn’t it?!! 💄💋 ATB and be lucky. 😃👍🏻
God bless ya Deano! Always appreciate you stopping by mate. Didn't open the lipstick as it really isn't my colour!!hehe Hope all is well pal! Thanks again
Brilliant film Marcus, so many interesting finds and some research to do eh mate. Potentially really old one or two bits marra 🤞🏻 Love that Bullhead shilling and more so because my one and only is an 1816 also with a gorgeous blue patina. The best to you Marcus hope all’s grand mate
Thanks Jimbo! Glad you've got an 1816 too - such a superb coin...I am so pleased with it. There are always tons of finds to look through on these club digs - they find amazing land for us. Cleaning, identification & research are so much fun....especially when you are learning things as you go! Amazing hobby we have eh?! Thanks again pal, hope all is well
@@Notchedto11 good lad Marcus, and yeah I do like a club dig I rarely find amazing things but I’ve done ok. Yes agreed mate every day is a school day eh always learning. I’m only just over 2 years in👍🏻 the best to you pal
Top man FC!! Hope you're safe & well mate? Haven't seen you in ages! Thanks as always for stopping by my friend! Ps - still using those little 3D coin stands you gave me - they have proved to be super helpful in the cabinet. Thanks again mate
Hi Marcus , well what a nice bit of land to detect looks very nice and quite productive to a very good selection of finds the George v penny is in great condition and you have more chance of juggling with soot than finding a 1933 penny 😂 although there is one under a corner stone in ST Paul's Cathedral in London it was put there after some restoration work ( good luck 😂 ) , anyway well done on the bull head and another fine video mate ATB Rob .
Haha! Thanks Rob.....yes, I believe there are 2 places in London with 1933 pennies in their walls. Hard to believe something made of copper and so (relatively) modern could hold such value.....amazing! Thanks as always for watching pal - I do love the group digs now that my permission is largely out of bounds due to groundworks that have started there. Great bunch and always good land to detect on. Hope you are doing ok my friend, and wishing you and yours a good Xmas. Ps, do you still speak to Tom? If so, please send him my regards. Cheers mate, Marcus
Yes Bobby!! I am in love with the D2 again! Really enjoying getting out with it again...in fact I have used it a couple of times over the last week - such a good machine!! Thanks for watching mate, take care.
Cheers Jim my friend! Hope all is well mate - see you're still smashing out that silver! I will definitely take up your kind offer in the New Year to come & catch up with you. Beers on me! Take care pal
