I feel your pain, Marcus. I did a club dig last Sunday, the weather was fine, but the fields...oh my goodness they were so wet, even the higher ground. Other people found Roman coins. I didn't find anything, I didn't get the camera out and I was shattered afterwards. Well done sticking it out and congrats on the silver. Jax❤
Hardest digging ever Jax - even trying to lift a plug out of the ground was nigh on impossible....just suctioned by the water table! I consider myself reasonably fit for nearly 50, but was exhausted by 2pm! By the time I left I think there were just a handful of the 50+ who started! Hi Marcus, I don’t know how you managed in the waterlogged field. The silver Shilling was very nice, a few buttons. All in all a decent day. I had planned to go out myself today but we have a big storm coming in and I got an emergency call to take down a few trees over a house. I did get a new permission of an old golf course where my first try there I found a big white gold ring with a 2.75K diamond with 12 smaller diamonds. I found it in the bottom of a sand trap.
