Greetings from Bulgaria, I have been following your channel for a long time. I am glad that you share your knowledge. I wish good health to all colleagues and only good emotions
Hey that's great Michael, and thanks 🙏 for all your efforts here!... I'm currently switching between Gary's new 'TEKKNA' and my own 'Psychotic Relic' 😂 programs, but I'll def. have yours running alongside them, (and hope to be out this Sunday...). I partic. like the concept of your 'narrow tone-breaks' because, as you're saying here, it helps in distinguishing the Purity (metal'wise') of the target... Looking fwd to it anyway matey, and thanks again! Bobby 💪🐭
Really appreciate all the work you put into programming for us. D2 on the way, I'll let you know how I get on with this!- edit..used this on my first outing and pulled up 2 hammies, reading between 45 and 60. Really grabs your attention when you swing over a non ferrous target. But it was sparky enough with false hi tones. Apart from reducing sensitivity, what could i have done to settle it down a bit?
I can’t wait to try this out. I do like the audio identification tones. I’m having a shoulder surgery next Tuesday, but if it stops raining before then I’ll try it out sooner. Sure appreciate the information… John
Hi, thanks for your message. No problem, you just need to manually change them using the + and - buttons. It’s easy enough to do and shouldn’t take long 👍👍
Excellent will give this ago thanks I take it we can do this on 1.1 or did I miss that in the program somewhere 😂 yes it does I watch it again my dogs was barking 😂😂😂
Thanks for sharing your program.I haven’t used Forager before, but like the idea of five tones. I do have a few questions, hope that’s okay. Is this program solely for pasture or does it work just as well on arable? Would it be possible to provide a summary of program setup, which we can follow, please
Perfect for pasture and arable my friend. Had amazing results on both. Stop by the video later and I will add the program info to the description for you buddy. Let me know how you get on 👍👍
Thanks for providing the summary, which I now have plumbed into my remote controller. A couple of things for some reason I couldn’t add the last tone break on the fifth tone. which defaulted to - - , 951 mhz, volume 10, is this correct? I note that the equaliser settings has changed for all my base programs too, which I wasn’t expecting. How will that affect them when I use them now?
Thank you so much for this program. Your tutorial has helped me understand how to customize my own D2 for my Beach WET and Beach DRY programs. Question - I know you are using PWM and 5 Tones, but how do you feel about "Square" tones vs PWM? I've been using square a lot and find it to be more helpful to my ears. Do you think that would assist with the sounds on this program? If not, why?
Hi, new to the Deus 2 and spent a lot of time learning the menus, I used programming your Forager 2 program a few times as practice as it goes through a lot of settings. Used Forager last outing and although I found nothing special my junk was better quality junk 😂I did find some huge lumps of lead and a very toasted old copper coin at about 9 inches, size of a modern penny. Have you done a vid of you out in the field using Forager showing numbers and tones and objects, like Gary Blackwell does with his? If not, any chance of doing one?
I have done the video now of me out using the Forger program (thanks to you) and it should be the first of many. Up now on my channel, thanks for the idea 👍👍
Great share. Very useful. However, i did come across three differences with my xp deus II. I recently updated it before following your procedure. Difference 1: my xp deus 2 does not have audio filter in the menu options at all. 2: I cannot change volume in tone break expert settings, and lastly, frequency max is also not an available menu option. I am going to try what i have set otherwise following this. Wish me luck. :-). Ty for your help.
Your software version must be pre 0.7 as those features came in after that. Update your remote and headphones to version 2.0 (the latest) and you will have all the new features 😃👍
If i was to change the audio type to sqaure or high sqaure, would that be an issue with this programme? Not sure if i like the squeaky sounds just yet? Thanks again :)
Pretty sure you'll be fine Peter... If I recall, the only diff. with the WS6, is that you get less Custom Programs which you can save, (2, I think), and you can also only put one Notch in - but this Prog has no Notches, so you'll be fine... It's just a slightly different way of putting in all the settings for the WS6...
Hi, thank you for the info on your Forager program, I am looking forward to trying it on Ver 2.0. Just one question, why Bottlecaps at 3?, I thought this was only used on trashy beaches
Just wondered if you'd tried Teknna ... Much talk about it. I tried it today and I can't see any advantage over forager.. have you tried it...? Thoughts ?... I found it rather irritating compared to Forager and I felt it lost depth imho
To be honest I have some sites which I would use Tekkna on however I just can’t do the audio. Anything other then PWM for me just send me crazy after a short period 😩👍
Bonjour, V1.0 is different to 2.0 because it uses different Silencer settings. It will still work however has not been tested. If you use it and it works please let me know. Good luck my friend 👍👍
Thank for me letting my know Peter, Forager is one of my favourite all time programs and is used by 1000s of people across the globe. Keep finding the good stuff 👍👍
@@OMA_MetalDetecting I’m going to try your program, one more question, is it a program to pollute them? Or is it a versatile all-terrain program? Thank you for your answer.
@@wagner1631 Forager is about as versatile as they come. It’s quiet and stable and good for land and beach. It is a very popular program which I’m sure will be a great tool for you too buddy 👍👍
Why would you assign a tone of 237hz ( just above the ferrous tone of 202hz) for small non ferrous including small gold and some ancient coins up to tone break 46? 🤷♂️ Small Roman minims, some Celtic units and small gold will be missed, especially with that low tone. Some of these have TID’s from 30 up to low 40’s, even lower in certain ground conditions.
237hz is a little low for me, i have mine set at 603hz from tone break 10 upto 45. It looks a fairly decent program for the masses that just want to dig the bangers but on sites like ours where you have to work very hard, literally splitting hairs. I don’t think the Forager 2.0 would be efficient enough. I do agree on the base program of General though, I think it’s improved massively over the last couple of updates and is overlooked and very underrated by a lot of detectorists that are drawn to programs like, Senstive FT, Deep HC etc. A well presented video and nice explanation of settings and adjustments. Thank you 👏
