Awesome video as always Gary. Your new settings look fantastic, can’t wait to get out and give it a go. Cheers for your program, and thanks for sharing.
No worries Steve 👍
My first outing using Tekkna this morning, on a small noisy patch of forest I’ve combed dozens of times, yielded a Roman coin and brooch when I was adamant there was nothing left to find. I love the programme’s quietness and how it hooks on to the faintest positive signal. Great job Gary, I’m not too sure how it works with that discrimination setting, but it does. Thanks!
Great feedback, congratulations 🤝👍
Hi, Garry. Tested your Teckna program for the XP Deus 2 versions 2.0. It works great! Thank you for the knowledge you have shared with the world. Good luck!
Great feedback, thanks for your support 🤝
Gary, you’re on a roll again with videos, thanks
Thanks Jerry 🤝👍
Gary, thank you for the program and tips. I think you may have a winner in the iron areas. Nice little coins that would, normally be missed.
Thanks 👍 those conductors sounds are easy to identify
Great video ! I have been running my D2 very close to those settings for a while now but the disc up to 42 was the only thing that differed. I built two custom configurations for these settings one from the general program and the other from SFT. If the site is wet I use the one off the GP and if its dry switch to the SFT build….very good settings! I gotta admit this video gave me a confidence boost that I have started to figure this machine out. Thanks again!!
Glad I could help! as of yesterday I have it working on wet sand so its now my "Go To" program
Hey Gary just tried out your program and tried at an old cellar hole littered with iron ,I’ve hit this spot for years and haven’t found much in quite a while but this program you have popped out an old 1872 Indian head penny today and it was a clean hit on it ! This is my go to program now thanks Gary !
Great feedback Jason, I'm glad it is working for you.
Thank you, I will definitely try these settings
Greetings from the Netherlands
Hi and a big shout out to my friends in the Netherlands 🤝
Looking forward to trying that here in the States. Thanks for sharing Gary. *Chris*
Hope you enjoy Chris
Hi Gary little update today, I have been using Tekkna solely as my go to programme now since you shared it with us i have got some serious hours in on it now and ive found lots of really nice romans, small artifacts, silver coins and silver pieces and today i found my very first ever gold coin with it ! A stunning condition 3rd of a Guinea so im made up as you can imagine buddy. 12 years ive been detecting and this programmes been a game changer its magic. Thanks again and keep up your hard work its appreciated.
Lovely feedback, thank you so much for your time and support 🤝👍
Looking forward to trying it in the U.S. Sunday and in England in March. Thanks so much.
Thanks Chuck 👍🤝
Hello gary, I have tried tekna several times now and it works very well for me. I searched in a field with a lot of iron and disturbances. with tekna I got the best result by increasing the response speed to 2.5-3. Yesterday I found my first silver coin of around 11 millimeters and it came in really hard on the meter. Thank you. greetings from the Netherlands
Thanks for your report Anne.
Hi Gary, tried it today works very well, thanks very much.
Great, thanks Paul
Your videos are always informative thanks for sharing
Glad you like them!
I am looking forward to trying your program! I am going to try it at some iron infested ghostown sites here in the western US. Thanks Gary!
Good luck Shane
Hi Gary, this program works very well. Thank you very much for all your efforts
You are very welcome my friend...enjoy 👍
Hi Gary , great video as always ! I’ve tried the Tekkna a few times now and have had some success . I went to a totally wretched iron infested sight today where I’ve struggled badly to find anything. However today , a couple of thimbles some small non ferrous pieces and a small skeleton key really surprised me. It’s very hard to not dig those 50-50 targets though , which were all junk. I think Tekkna is a winner so far.
Great feedback, thanks JJ 🤝
Great feedback, thanks JJ 🤝
Cheers Gary, punching the settings in tonight. Tomorrows trip out is on a site that has proved very tricky for me in the past, fingers crossed for some good results !
Have fun 👍
Top job gary had a few hours with this today on some of my washed out sites. Really good on iron infested picked out some non ferrous amongst it all.Work in progress. Another tool in the box for sure.ATB Andy.
Great job, thanks Andy 👍
Nice one Gary! This could very well freshen up a couple of my old permissions 😊
I hope so
Nice one young man keep them interested video coming from Cornwall. I is loving the deus 11😊
Cheers Tim, give it a try down your neck of the woods.
I would always be afraid of loosing good targets, but it does not seem to be that critical. So why not...
Thnks Gary - allways inspiring!
The trouble is you only know what you are finding, you never know what you are missing.
nice and thanks for share your exp,so i go out and try thia setting with 42 disc and 10 offset ❤
Correct
Don't ask me why. Love it! Looking forward to what XP has in store for the lovely Deus 2!!
Thanks for watching
It's a great program. Easy to understand 👍🏻
Thank you michael
I used the programme yesterday and loved it. All the good signals jumped out and I never dug a piece of iron all day. I felt there was also great depth. Many thanks for sharing this.
Thanks Darren, great feedback 👍
Awesome as usual Gary! 🫵🏼🪨💯
Thanks Buddy 🤝

@@jeandigshistory I hear you 😁
Chad sent me the link to this. I am sure this will be his next favorite. Our sites are always full of iron. Impressive! Congrats sir.
Good luck my friend
Tested in heavy iron old homstead sites Pounded ones. New finds. Thanks for this program! I use 1.01. Raising reactivity hasn't hurt depth.
Thanks Ann that's great feedback
Thanks for the video! I just loaded this program and am looking forward to see how it performs in a few of my favorite iron infested old schoolyards. I just need to wait a week or two for the bright sun and warmer temperatures to unthaw the thin layer of ground frost in my area. I'll post another comment after I've had to chance to try it out.
Hope the weather improves, good luck when you do get out.
I like it, Thank you for sharing. Jon
Thank you! Cheers! John
Will load it today and see how it works. Loved the old sonar program.
Good luck, yes the Sonar is a winner.
That was really a good one Gary, I cannot wait to test it. Unfortunately here in Sweden you got to have an hydraulic hammer if you want to dig through the frozen soil right now 😅. Thank you!🙂
Sorry to hear that, patience my friend 👍
Wow nailed it mate for this program. That iron signal at 9.40 with the roman underneath couldn't have been a better result. Raising the discrimination that high is something I'd never contemplated especially on our ancient sites. The Deus 1 had the very popular Sonar program It looks like the Deus 2 has the Tekkna thanks to your perseverance and technical skill. Looking forward to feed back. 👍
Cheers Paul, let's hope the guys out there are enjoying it as much as us.
@@The-skillschoolI don't know English. Can someone tell me what the settings are?
I have been on V2 since it came out and I think it is working great. I dig a lot a holes where I dig iron in the plug and coin the in the hole, just liked you showed. This is why I love this machine. Gary you are a funny man, thumbs down twice. Disc that high, never thought of it. So I am going to try this. Thanks for sharing. See you Wednesday night. 😀
Thanks DDS 🤝👍
Tank you Gary!
You are welcome
Thanks Gary for vid program hunt and time.
Thank you my friend
Thank you.
Let's try
All the best 🤝
I used it yesterday and worked like charm. Bullet casings, some coins and pendant . And gun magazine but with Jay program.
Great feedback thanks 👍
Great video👍 I’ll give this one a go!
Good luck 🤝
Gary i love this programm! I found my first roman an my first celtic Coin with it also a fibula from 50 b.c
I love the programm because its the best in the first swing...dont know how i can explain...but ist fantastic
Thank you for the heat feedback 🤝
Hello Gary. It's amazing! Testing Tekna second day today, on scythian site. And I have feeling like my productivity increased on 20-30 %. Just lowered reactivity to 2.5, also I tried 2 - but its to many phantoms
Great info, thanks for your thoughts
Can’t wait to try this on some of my iron infested sites. Thanks again Gary
You are welcome TH
Thanks Gary, Its in my machine. I will use this Sunday on an Irony Roman area in pasture. I will let you know what happens.
Thanks Richard
Well done Garry top video
Thanks GF 23
Great video, i want a Dues 2 now :)
Go for it
Nice one Gary programmed in and ready to go say hi to Paul 👍 shaune in Kent
Will do catch you soon Shane
Hi Shaune. Thank you and let us know how you get on mate. 👍
Loving your Tekna settings Gary today they pulled out a bucket lister A Gold Edward III quarter Noble
Many thanks 😂
That's great news, thanks for sharing.
Trying this tomorrow 😃
Many thanks 👍
Thanks for shareing will give it a go on my roman sites and give you some feed back.
Please do!
I will try this
Please do
Interesting program Gary, I have thought for a while the D2 likes a higher disc compared to the D1, you only have to look at how the Sonar operates on multifrequency. Would be interesting to see what feathering in some audio filter does on the slightly scratchy signals. I will be giving this program a go the weekend for sure.
You are right Dan, the audio filter may help, bear in mind that was using the RC speaker, combined with a microphone is never a good combo. It sounds much sweeter with headphones.
Mr. Gary is alchimist of XP! Thank you Gary 😊👍🏻
Thank you 🤝
Gonna run this programme tomorrow on a Roman Site dig in North Wales , Thanks
Good luck my friend
Thanks Gary . Got a site where this may well be of use .Will give it a go this weekend .
Good luck Jonathan
@@The-skillschool . Worked a treat - Used it to check 'Iffy signals' with iron and on one that I would have normally walked away from with my fast program It produced a nice flutey tone and an Iceni silver unit with ....... a lump of rusted iron . Doesn't seem quite as deep as my modified fast program but excellent at seeing through iron .
Fantastic video again Gary,is it mainly for pasture,or does it work on stubble and ploughed too,not many Roman in Ayrshire,I noticed you put a asterisk at don’t ground balance unless you need to, again great job
Thanks Eddie, I have found it works well on Pasture. I have made a video on it which will be Iive in about 3 weeks.
GB is mainly for overseas.
Thanks for your quick reply, not a lot of population where I am ,so hopefully it will pick up the small targets, or do you think I stick to your deep hf thanks for any advice 👍
Sorry deep hc program
Do you find it works better on pasture or stubble
Anywhere I have a Tekkna deep pasture video made, it will be live in a few weeks.
Thanks, I tred this today on version 1.10 and works good. On a plowed field contaminated with iron is this the best choice.
Thanks for your feedback 👍🤝
Blimey really interesting video Gary thanks for sharing, just put yoir Tekkna program in and will give it a go tomorrow with mws, is the XY screen ok to use with that program or best use horse shoe ? Thanks again Gary 😎👊
Not sure about the XY Mark.
Give it a try, it's best to rely on the audio with his program.
@metal_detecting thanks thats what I was thinking, obviously will try both
I've never in my life been in a field, farm, park, beach where I had to use a reactivity higher than two to run a program. Not saying I don't run higher reactivities, but it certainly wouldn't be something I'd do in a field like that, even if I had too! And it wouldn't be SFT. To each their own, always appreciate your videos, even if I don't agree. Still got the thumbs up👍
Thanks for your thoughts Tony
Very very exciting new development for the Deus 2. I've been out with it twice now, and found that it works well on pasture. I recall the early Deus 2 was very sparky and signals just jumped out at you. Well, I've been losing heart with the updates since then which have never managed to capture that crispness of the early signals. I'd even considered ditching the D2 in favour of the Manticore! This is just great and I'm sooo much happier now. Thank you Gary, you're a star.
Thank you Richard, I'm so pleased everything has dropped into place.
Mr. Gary is alchimist of XP ! Thank you 👍🏻😊
Thanks you
Will give this program a shot, I hunt a lot of iron infested old home places. Wou you recommend upgrading to the newest version and if I do will get rid of my custom programs I have saved? Really enjoy your channel.Been detecting for about 52yrs.
Hi Terry if you are on V1.1 leave it, yes updating will.lose custom programs.
Gary very interested in your Tekkna beach settings great cheers
Coming soon!
Hi Gary used programme today again pasture field here in Cornwall same field raised sensitive to 98 lowered reactivity to 1.5 because none iron worked a treat found stuff not found before kept it on high square cheers
Thanks for sharing Bobby 🤝
Hello Gary,
great video super interesting 👍
I am looking forward to using this program.
I would like to thank you for everything you have taught me.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks Louis 👍🤝
Gary, what are your thoughts on depth using sens full tones? Do you think it compares to park or deep HC in that department?
It really depends on the ground and targets.
Interesting Gary thanks, have been hearing alot about guys using high disc ,have you moved it around and 42 is the best ?
Best for me, you.may find different but I think 42 is the sweet spot.
@@The-skillschool thanks Gary
Interesting program Gary.
Seems to be like the "hot" program but for the Deus II
Good to see Paul sharing his experience.
Thanks Gary, yes it is like the hot program, but with the deep as a starting platform.
Thanks Gary. Tekkna saved for me. Suits my sites. 👍
Thanks Gary & Paul. I'm still running .71 ....but I'll try it on my permission soon as I know those fields. 👍
Hi Gary, have a question on this program and your others. Do you ever use pitch and what would the pros and cons of it? Thanks. Take care.
Hi CW
Pitch is one of the most dynamic audio choices.
I do use pitch, as you probably know Goldfield and Relic also use this audio.
Although it gives a good target intensity range, many choose a form of tone ID to determine conductivity.
Wow, this is radical compared to past programs. I’m hoping this will be a killer around cellar holes and foundations. Thanks Gary, awesome stuff as usual !
I hope it works for you...Good luck !
I do love a custom program, I now have 3/4 I use. Now what I would like to see is 3 different programs over the same targets to see if these custom programs actually make a difference or if they all would pick up the same
That would be interesting, but I guess not conclusive
Have to see how well it works for surface finds... I was so happy when I found a small possible solver button and a silver hammered with it... and later I saw my cup tilted and they fell out my pouch... gonna see if I can find them again 😆
At least I know I can find stuff where I've already been
Good luck
Just updated to V2 and programmed it in, can’t wait to try it out. Thanks Gary
Nice one Graham 🤝
Great informative video 👍 I’ve been using offset at 15 for a while & works great on Roman sites however the discrim so high took me by surprise & will definitely be giving that a try Thanks again Gary & Paul for sharing
Thanks Dave
Good luck 👍
Best of luck Dave. Look forward to your feed back mate.
I've been using similar settings, changing reactivity depending on the amount of iron, but I haven't tried setting the disc that high. I'll head out to an iron-infested site and give it a try. It looks like it's hitting low conductors - I'll do a quick test on small gold.
Thanks for your thoughts. Good luck.
trying it out tomorrow on a new field with viking activity 🤞🏻🍀👍🏻
Have a good day Michael.
Hi Gary , what size coil would you recommend when purchasing the Deus 2 please mate
My personal choice would be the 9"(22cm)
Tekkna super
Thanks
Thanks Gary, I’ll give that a go next time I’m out. Just bought WS2 11 headphones and I followed your vid for pairing which was great, however, out on the field I could hear the pad setting tones clearly but any targets are just coming through as a quiet high pitched squeak?? Paired again but still the same - any suggestions? Thanks 🙏 😊
Sorry Gary re above it should say WSA 11 👍
Sounds like they are on different versions.
Software versions
Thanks Gary, yes I think you’re right. Going to upgrade my Deus to match 👍
Just updated to v2.0 and placed the settings in and had a quick listen to a hammered and a half cut hammered but might have to play around with sound volume due to my hearing being not so good dont mind me asking what sound volumes have you got it on for signals please Gary ty
I never look at the sound levels, so can't help on that one.
Hi gary thank you for this magnificent program, but I didn’t understand the discrimination we leave it at 6.8? Or 42?
42 discrimination in Full Tones, Silencer 0, High Square Audio.
Don't worry you will still find small targets
@@The-skillschool So the discrimination 6.8 I raise it to 42 🫡
@@The-skillschool Thank you Gary I tried your program, I enjoy it, it looks like I found my deus 1 😉🤝 thank you Gary.
Do you think turn the discrimination up that high would work on general with the silencer of and caps off ?
No I dont
i like to look off this program but is there any disadvantages by using pwm over the high square as i tend to go for pwm mostly thanks
Hi Alan
High square softens the sounds, but I guess it's just personal choice.
Hi, is this programme only for areas littered with iron or for regular walking as well?
Good question...it can be used for general searching, you may wish to lower the reactivity a little on open clean ground.
Hi Gary I’m still on 1.1 mainly as it’s tedious to keep re entering all the custom stuff. I thought 2.0 was just for the deep hunter (or whatever it’s called) are there other differences? Thx Mike
You are correct Mike, version 1.1 will work just as well.
@@The-skillschool Cheers Gary I could’ve done with trialling it last weekend on a difficult Roman site….will give it a go! Regards Mike
Will give this one a go on V1:1 on Sunday cheers Gary
Tried today on pasture here in Cornwall not got any roman site but was surprised how deep a button was .can you have it on pwm ? Cheers Gary
Thanks for your feedback, I find PWM sounds a little harsh.
Gary been using just lowered reactivity 1.5 sens 98 been working well here in Cornwall on pasture small finds bigger finds shallow n deep finding finds in same field didn't get before. Will try reactivity at 1 see how that goes cheers
Great feedback Bobby thanks 👍
Been working really well again lowered audio response to 3 same small field found Silver sixpence lizzy penny buttons pre decimal and decimal coins same 1.5 reactivity really impressed Gary
The real question is what is it doing different than my regular fast program and heavy iron loaded sites? I put the program to the test yesterday and checked every My normal program and could not tell any difference. Just wondering where this program is going to help me? Thanks for all your help and videos.
Thanks for your thoughts Paul.
It's the way it stops you on targets.
Most programs will find said coins/ Targets.
I have a video on that very subject soon.
Likes bro 👊👍
Thanks Bro 👍👍🤝
Gary, how can you explain the audio filter off?
This filter is the most mysterious for me among all the settings....
I have already made an audio filter video, it is due to be released soon.
@@The-skillschool it's incredible!
Thank you! 👍
Super tune! I like heavy iron sites! FIRST WATCH FIRST COMMENT How would this behave in my highly mineralized soil?
How would I know how it performs on your soil.
Will it still go deep with the reactivity on 3? I normally don’t go above 2
If the ground says 3 that's what you need to use.
Thank you for sharing
And it is possible to use the program in PWM?
Give it a try 👍
@@The-skillschool ok merci 👍🙂
will this program work in the Deus 1? Thanks for any help
No
Hello.
I am a beginner, so bear with me.
Do you think Tekkna will work in the forest?
I've been searching for videos on detecting in forest, but not that much to be found.
Cheers from Norway.
Thanks for watching, yes I think it will be perfect. If conditions allow you may want to lower the reactivity for a little more depth.
@metal_detecting
Thanks for the feedback.
The ground is dry and has light brown soil. I don't know if that info makes a difference.
I will try it tomorrow🙂 I'm going to try it in an area where I already found a couple of silver [1696 and 1780].
I have used the Deep HC program, so I am curious to see if Tekkna will revel som NF among some Iron spots I have skipped.
Hi Gary seems to work in V1.1 iv named it the Winkler.😅
Nice one Paul
Hi Garry can the Tekkna program also be installed on 1.1?
Thank you greetings from Italy
Yes 1.1 or 2.0
