    That’s something I like about the DEUS is that you can determine size without pinpoint mode. Also the fact that you were getting solid signal and dug a big piece of iron and still had the good target below it !

    "It just proves, that I don't know what I'm talking about".... This cracked me up! I have literally just gotten my first detector yesterday, and have since watched a couple hours of your videos, and I can unequivocally say, you DO seem to know what you are talking about. But I love that even YOU get it a little wrong occasionally, which proves to me that all of us have more to learn. So far your videos have given me a great start in understanding how to set up my Deus II, and more importantly, how to use it. I have learned how to dig better, I've learned more about the different tones, and how the machine works. Great stuff and I appreciate these videos immensely!

    I constantly working with /on two programms only : gold and full tones , the best two options for DII , I use diffrent settings . For exaple adding two notches for gold : 1. 00-00 2. 23-25 when ground is uneven ( cultivated land )

    Love the education, thank you. Me, I'm on the south shore of Lake Erie (across the pond). Beach is contaminated with aluminium & zinc from boats. Always a pleasure to pick up a lower tone in the 50 to 70 range. Usually I dig them all as an occasional silver coin rings very close. Any tips I can pick up to use a program is most appreciated. Thanks Gary.....

    That's great thanks Gary - and very interesting what you say about 'Goldfield' (and 'Relic') - I've had my D2 a couple of months now, and really 'Gone Deep' trying custom programs from ALL the RUclips guys, including your good 'self... I think it was Marcus (Notched to 11) who turned me on to 'Goldfield/Relic' and I've really grown to love it, and use as my 'Go To'. I think, for some reason (maybe the different settings/filters used etc.?) it's more 'forgiving' when sweeping, ie. to find targets more easily... This might also be to do with the simplicity of the Tone/Audio setup on these programs? In other words - all I'm listening for, is an extremely simple sound -the slightly odd 'Goldfield/Relic' bleep, but one that is clean, has no deep iron tone + is repeatable/without 'stuttering'. I find myself looking at the numbers a lot more - but it's definitely worth it, 'cos I think I'm punching a bit deeper with these programs too... Anyways, interested to know your take on this matey, and thanks as ever for the excellent advice and demos... Bobby 🙏

    • @The-skillschool
      @The-skillschool  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks Bob, I think the Relic and Goldfield have a great unfiltered sound.
      Yes I am convinced they have a little more raw punch.

    I am subscribed to your channel and subscribed to the Scottish metal detectorists Johns channel. He has your custom deep programming but he is on version 0.71 but I am on 1.10 Will there be different settings for the 1.10 version? If there are, is it possible that I could have the settings for my 1.10 version?

    I love gold field in a wide open area, but have always shied away from it in heavy iron. I didn't think it would separate very well. But you had no issues, so I need to rethink my assumptions! Why do you suppose gold field worked better in stubble than sensitive full tone? Also, do you ever notch out any numbers when you're detecting UK fields or pastures?

    • @The-skillschool
      @The-skillschool  2 месяца назад +1

      Goldfield and Relic work differently, they seem to ork just as well with the coil higher, also the GB is more accurate.
      Here in the UK the only thing I notch out is wet sand or sometimes the halo effect from wet ground, never targets.
      Head for the iron, you may be pleasantly surprised 👍🤝
