My local park has some silver still in it. It’s just beyond the reach of my nox 800 and legend. On a good day after a rain, I might get one. I ordered the Deus 2 this morning hoping to improve my luck. You and Merrill from NYC have me sold on this machine.

Bravo gary fortunately you are there. here in France there is no more video detection there is not even video test with xp I am ashamed of France, which prohibits people from practicing their passion 😢 fortunately you are here to escape us in can. It’s a shame that there are no subtitles 👏🤝

Good video as always, Gary! Deep HC is my favorite program, but I use it with XY screen. When you come to visit me for a detecting weekend in NW of Italy? ☺️💪🏻

Higher frequencies may slightly loose depth on very deep targets.
However it will be more sensitive to small targets.

The chainsaw was fine. Thanks for showing Deep HC. I like to hit a site over before I leave with Deep HC, I start with SenFT. Version 2.0 is working good. You do like that new square tone don't you. Do you feel you get same audio ID with the high square vs the pwm?
Thanks DDS, PWM is a sharper audio, I think you hear more audio information.
High Square has a softer, more filtered sound.
All personal preference I guess.
Sensitive full tone’s sounds great I just tried it over some targets

cracking video many thanks .. I have a question About the D2 .. none ferrous target numbers 74 / 76 .I uncovered the target it turns out to be flat bit of Iron ..this is a new machine to me i have spent many years with the ctx 3030 and iron is iron with the 3030 . not sure if it just me or not but iron gives a right good grunt usually .. any help would be great .. many thanks
Check what version you are on first.
Try to sweep over the target and draw your coil back, if it's iron it very often turns to a grunt as you come off the target 👍
Hey Gary. Iv recently upgraded from D1 to D2. Iv got the full D2 and I really like the XY screen. Quick question… is there a way of skipping between horseshoe and XY quickly? I’m going into settings to change it but would be ideal if I could do it with one button press. Thanks

Dont always trust the XY... it is not full proof! If you good tone dig it!
Gray how long should the battery last on the 9 inch d2 coil 5h detecting in deet ht 15khz down to one bar all so on the beach beach sence 4h detecting 40khz down to one bar i have tirn down all volumes except the headphones first time i noticed should last longer shouldn't it ?
Lower frequencies use more power.
Haven’t got the D2 yet as I love the D1 but it’s tempting.
D1 is a great machine
Hi Gary. I have a xp deus 1 and have just purchased a 13" x35 coil and a 9" HF elliptical coil. When i use the x35 coil my detector is going crazy when i detect close to another detectorist. It doesn't seem to matter what detector they are using or what program i am using. Is there any way of stopping this happening? Kind regards Bri.

ChainSaw Fun!! 😱 : A few Reassuring words here, from a Pro (Ex- BBC/ITV) Sound-Guy (and Deus 2 User ;). You got away nicely with the audio there Gary - and that's prob. because 1. You were using a personal/radio mic. 2. You had it rigged nicely, and fairly close to your mouth. 3. You're a bloke, with a fairly loud/projecting voice... It's just worth thinkin' about these things matey - the sound was prob. good enough for you to not hav to mention the chainsaw... However, if you'd been filming with a guest, (who perhaps didn't project as well), then the result wudda prob. been a fair bit nastier... 🤯 Quick story: We were once filming on the street in Cali. (and everyone's 'in the Movies' there...). This guy was following our film unit ALL Afternoon, and with a petrol strimmer. 😖 He wasn't even a gardener, but our director had to give him 200 bucks to **ck-off!!... 🤣😂 Anyways, Fab tips as ever Gary, and loving that little Roman at the end... Possibly Fast, the pitch audio can really surprise you.
I just added a new program to my Deus 2 based on the park program. It's just basically adding tones and increasing the sensitivity and reactivity. My coil is now only lasting 4 to 5 hours and it's dying. Wondering if this program would kill the battery or if something is wrong with my coil. Two days in a row, fully charged and it only lasted 4 to 5 hours. HH Matt
Send it back to xp sounds to low.
Lower working frequency bands will use more power.
According to the manual it says that program deep hc & diving should give 8 hours, so try deep hc and if you get 4-5 then something is wrong
