Love your videos, I like watching people that understand exactly what they are doing with a machine's settings. Far too often I see people posting tests that make no damn sense. You always command a thorough understanding of a machines capabilities in your videos and is a major reason why I will always look forward to new videos dropping.
@@IffySignals I've put about 1500+ hours now in on the Manticore and I'm a total nerd when it comes to settings. Understanding how to make the machine work for you is absolute. Your tests always match what I've done and confirms my findings which gives me a piece of mind. Your deep iffy signals video I have shared over and over with the people I detect with showing them that watching VDI's is only going to produce the easy targets.
Great demonstration! Out-of-the-box settings are there for the beginner. It is set to allow the new player to find targets and dig less trash. This allows them to start to enjoy the sport and not get frustrated. The manufacturers want the new client to keep using it and not return it for a refund. We all see those people with comments saying the machine is erratic and unusable. They have convinced themselves that they just bought a defective device. It is normal for a beginner to crank up the setting to unearth grand and glorious treasures from ancient civilizations. A year later these settings are their presets.
I love the manticore especially on salt beaches here in Ct and RI I use the low conductor no discrimination with my 9” coil it’s so light and works great I got a 1916 merc it’s a S mint a silver crucifix first time out with the new coil.
Nice video Iffy! For my personal information and studying, could you tell me te Merc's and pieces of gold's VDIs on air test or just laying on the ground with both machines? I'd like to understand if there's an "iron drift" of the VDI between air test and buried targets in those conditions. Thanks in advance...
How do they act with 11 inch coils. You can get a Deus with a 9 in coil with a Manticore you need to buy the 9 in so it’s really not out of the box it’s an extra couple hundred plus bucks.
I'll trade you soil Iffy the best depth I can get on a silver quarter with the Manticore in my soil here in Calif .is 7".Thanks for the video and best of luck hunting.
Hi, just got the manticore; and had a question if you don't mind. When I am in all metal, does that override the mode settings? I mean, can I be in all terrain general and still be in all metal, or any other mode and still be in all metal? Do the different modes affect the all metal setting? Just wondering and thanks for your time!
@@IffySignals Thanks for the quick reply! So it does not matter what mode I'm in if the discrimination pattern is open (they will all function the same)?
Just recently bought the Manti.... so, I am no expert on it. But.... Top right of page 58 in the manual - "All Metal mode disables the Disc pattern.... All Metal is global, and is Off by default". So the answer to your question is yes.
Great vid iff , the manti really has some unreal power behind it, I know that because don’t get much swing time per charge lol 😂 Yea agree , most stock settings are safe settings set by the manufacturer, do need tweeking to get the best performance from the machine. Take care 👌🏻🧑🦯

I want to thank you very much . Tank you. Greetings from Berlin, Germany.
Welcome! Greetings from USA.
I run Rock the Manticore and your rips and trick always help me out on settings I can't figure out. Thank you, Brother 👍😎
Thanks Ray 👍

Nice! That 9” is great.
I have both machines and I prefer the Manticore with the 9 inch coil also
Thanks 👍
Wow the Mantacore clearly won this test. I'm impressed.
Thanks 👍
@IffySignals it just makes me want a manticore even more dam 😩.
Is there any way you can do a comparison between the equinox six hundred and the manticore? I just want to see the differences, if there is any?
Sorry, i have not had a 600 or 800 in a long time.
@@IffySignals ok
Great video, simple little things on both machines.
Thanks Bill
Wish you would show the Versa some more even though it is still not available in the USA.
Will do Chris 👍
Thanks great imformation and demonstration great help thanks.

Started detecting in early 1980s shocked that detectors haven’t really progressed 40 years later😢
Haven’t progressed 😂😂 they are light years ahead ,, obviously never used a modern detector
Definitely 👍
I different stick away from General on the XP Deus 2, just does not seem to work well for me. Did you try Sen or SenFT on this test?
Sensitive stock hits it, sensitive ft you need to drop the silencer. Stock its at 3.
@@IffySignals thanks for the info 👍
A great quick test, thanks
Thx Brad
Great video. Thanks for the info.
Welcome 👍
Another good one Iffy. Wish you had used Park for the Deus II. I think you would have had better results.
No good on stock Park Will. Removing silencer on Park does the trick though.
@@IffySignals interesting. I like the way you do your in ground tests. Very smart.
Have you tried the Legacy program? My buddies love it.
@@williampaxton871 i have not. Ill check it out. Thank you.

That awesome thank you for sharing.

Thanks for pointing that out.

If you were going to hit a beach for the very first time, which machine would you take?
The Manticore or the Deus 2

Prob even better with the 11”s not sure. Have not had a D2 11” in a long time.

I heard its pretty rough out there. 8” dime is normal here, 10” if you push the machine.
Nice video Iffy.
Any squirrels out there.
Everywhere.. they like to get into my garage and attic. 😆
keep the good time rolling .. Peace
Back at ya Danny 👍
cant wait to see triple score
Its coming, Legend and Nox are uploading now.

Hey Linda, all settings remain. It just opens the discrimination pattern.

When is update available for manticore?
Hi John, i have not heard of any updates for the Manticore.
What do mean reset ? How you do that in beginning on manticore. Factory reset?
On the manticore you can factory reset each program or the whole machine.
I have the D2 and 900 should I get the Manticore or wait for the next latest and greatest.
I prefer the Manticore over both of them.
Thanks 👍
I’m waiting for the new Ai detector. 🤖
Well damn! Looking at these very 2 detectors... for thr wife. Scratch OFF the deus2
Thx for watching Jody.
Adjust the deus well
Thx
