Hi CD Markus from Germany here. Exellent video! To adjust the ferrous lines is important. The best Mashine does nothing better unless you know how to handle it. Love youre content about the Manticore! Hope you get better! Thank you
Very good video. Another benefit of running higher weighted programs like AT General is that it’s less sparky in iron than lower weighted programs like ATHC. This will be especially beneficial to new users trying to learn the machine. Same thing applies to other detectors. I like coin shooting with Fast on the D2 for the same reason. The point you keep driving home about picking a tone option and sticking with it is spot on. Nothing complicates the learning process more than constantly changing things around.
Agreed. I don't care which settings you use........stay on them for a while. You'll learn all the quirks about that mode and get along just fine in any situation. THEN once you master it......make minor adjustments from there.
I want to give them a basic starting point and knowledge of what settings do...Say a guy is hunting iron I dont want them to start with a recovery of 1...
@@calabashdiggeradventures you did a great job of that with this video. To me, it looks like everything you mentioned sets up a new user with a great starting point. Nice job!
Thank you for this very informative video. I learned that I’ve been running my recovery way too low. Also it’s good to know that the ground balance is not that important in my area which is in south western Virginia. I hope the leg heals up soon and once again thanks for the advice.
Good video I just got the 9” Coil love it wish there was a option for coil sizes with Manticore I find no discrimination is my favorite way to run mine
bonjour et merci pour toutes c est explications du manticore ,j attent avec impatience votre avis sur le réglage de effet de sol normal et automatique sur la plage ,j utilise le manticore depuit un an sur les plage et c est une super machine
The unmasking between the different programs is an eye opener! I have always used All-Terrain General or the beach settings. Certainly something to consider! I think I'll stick with All-Terrain General though lol
I find quite a bit more with my 900 than my manticore. When I get tired or lazy I rely too much on the 2D screen on the manticore and probably pass up good targets because they don't look right. On the 900 I don't have 2d screen to influence me. My manticore is a backup to my 900.
Great video but still a little foggy on ferrous limits. I'll do some reading but I do have a question. When you run all metal (horseshoe) are the ferrous limits still in effect?
I've used a Deus II for a long time. Hunt coins in Deep High conductor, 5 tones. Audio blows yours ears out when it hits a target. I've only got a few hours on the Manticore. Set it as you suggested but just can't get the audio to respond like the Deus. I know the "Depth" setting hits harder but I don't like the sound of it. Any ideas on how to get the 5 tome Manticore audio to jump out? I'm using simple. I don't see a "response" setting like the Deus.

Very true! Thanks!
Nice video, the demos really reinforce the learnings
Thanks!
Love your videos helping us detectorist.
Thanks 👍
Get well soon!
Good video, would like to see some in depth video and explanation on using the trace screen for compromised targets
Great boot camp videos Mr. Calabash
Thanks!

Thanks man!
This kind of video is great. Thanks for putting in the time to make them.
My pleasure!
Very useful information, thank you!
You are very welcome!
Another added feature when running your recovery
Between 5-6 you get more stable Target ID”s .. As it’s states it in the manual…..Thanks for sharing
Thanks for that info....
I own the deus 2 and the manticore deus is still my favorite in iron
Really clear video on these settings.
Thanks!

Good call!
Even 22 it is a high sensitivity setting on most beach hunts. GLHH Take care.
Very true Gary...
Great video loving the boot camp videos !
Thanks!
Very good video!
But why don’t you cycle noise cancel until it repeat 2 or more times the same value? Doing it just one time is not the best way..
I know about the long press and use when the machine will not quiet down. In my yard sens of 22 to get it stable is normal..
Liked the video
Thanks!
These bootcamp videos are showing the newbie’s too much. They gonna be finding all the good stuff while we are at work. Lol !!
I never share info about good spots with retired guys or unemployed guys. They leech it all out while I'm stuck working. 😂
Make sure it's not a blood clot. It feels like a pulled muscle. Get well.
Thanks!

I do not pay attention the the 2d screen...when digging
@@calabashdiggeradventures I hear ya. It's hard for me not to look at it. Great job on the manticore tutorial.

Yes ....I will do a video on just the ferrous limits...

Simple should be the loudest...in normal...
Tracking ground balance - is it continuously checking or at intervals?
Its fast intervals
