Calabash videos sure help the time pass faster when im at work. I will be listening on the live stream later but im at work and may not be able to comment much.
I have to concur here that the SMF technology trumps the single frequency at least for ME. Im hunting over areas that I pummeled with my X-Terra Pro and digging more targets that I wasn't expecting was still there. And I love my X-Terra Pro!
Thank you SO much for breaking it all down for me! I got the Elite last month, and it's my first Minelab detector. I'm not sure what type of soil we have here in South Florida. There seems to be an overabundance of limestone. I can't wait to try out what I just learned!
I do not own this detector but I always watch your videos because the information you give on the functionality of the detector and settings is spot on 👊
The minelab Elite Expedition Pack comes with a second coil. Can you make a video explaining when to use the smaller coil verses the bigger coil. I am new to this and just got my ML Elite 2 days ago!
Excellent presentation, thank you. Please put into the wind that we would benefit if we had a 4" to 4.5" round puck style coil for the extremes of trash and the gold gravelers amongst us. Thanks again.
Great video! I just picked up the X Terra elite never really detected before just starting out. In the video you talk about the soil particularly in the east. I live out west really dry climate do you have any advice for the soil types out here that would negatively effect the settings you’re teaching in this video? Thanks
The soil type is going to change the way your detector reads and you’ll want to adjust for it. Faster recovery speed will help..this would be where I start IF needed..
Calabash, my new Elite arrived mid-week. It's coming out of the box tomorrow! I've used a 600 since May of 2020 so have a great understanding of Minelab in general. I'm in Iowa and tend to hunt very mild soil. I've always hunted 5 tone, Park 1, and auto ground balance with the 600. Religiously. Thoughts as I switch over? I hear you say Park 2. What about auto ground balance?
What manufacturer takes the time and makes the effort to calibrate every add on coil via a plug "n play program so that the built in discrimination features that are inherent for the stock coil work the same with the add on coil such as the V8X? If you cry about it they might listen. If I cry about it nothing will happen anytime soon.
Best instructional video for Minelab Elite by far. I learned so much just now. Minelab should cut you a fat check. Thanks
Thanks!

Should be mild soil away from the Beach.

I only use auto ground balance on the Beach..Will do a video as to why soon...
Calabash, is it deeper than the X-terra pro or is it just better for beach?
In my mild soil the ELITE gets better VDI readings on the deeper targets by far.
If you had 1 detector for ever. Which would it be.. deus2 or manticore.????????
Deus 2 because I can dive with it...

Some machines do better with add on coils for sure.....
