Hi John, as proposed I testet the Jethro Program (thank you for sharing) against SFT and DHC programs (both with disc 7.0, full tones, Silencer 1, bottle cap 0, notch 7 - 35). Test target was a medium-sized silver coin (.640, 23.5mm, 5.2 grams), which I buried at 9" depth in my garden 2 years ago. All three programs had no problem picking up the target, but the Jethro Pr. not as loud and clear as the other two (same audio response and reactivity settings on all three of them). Winner by as slight margin was SFT (as expected all programs work best with 14 kHz Max.Frequ.). I´m afraid to say, I don´t see any advantage in the Jethro Pr. (at least not with this particular target under the particular soil conditions in my garden). Best regards from Austria
This is an awesome programme. Today, in a well searched 100 sq meter area, I found 2 silver coins, one Civil War button and a one piece military button. Officially my go to programme. Thanks John and Jethro!!
used Jethro for 2hrs today and it turned up a James 1st penny around 4" down so happy with it and it quieter than some others , so good on the ears , will use again next time out thanks Jethro
So being less quiet means less sensitive to small targets, its not that good a program, my program is far deeper in side by side tests on targets in situ...
Hi John. I upgraded to version 2.0 and installed the jethro program. Just got back from detecting and obviously used the jethro program and had my best day in ages so thanks to jethro and thanks to you for sharing. My go to program now for sure. Love your videos and keep up the good work mate 👍🏻
Welcome to the sunny fields of Somerset Great program thank you , installed it two day ago used it yesterday, found a Roman coin plus other things good all round program
@@trolltaker sorry John I didn’t I can say it was my first time on a roman site and I found 3 bits of bronze and part of fabula plus a second Roman coin , keep up the good work just wish I had fields like yours we sometimes go a hour before finding something worth digging all the best from the sunny fields of Somerset
Thank you John and Jethro. I have had my Deus II for about a year and have been getting used to the stock programmes. You gave me the confidence to upload my first programme, obviously Jethro. I used it today for the first time and found a lovely 1920 sixpence, an Isle of Man Eagle and Child coin and a Victoria Penny. I would be interested to know how you compare it to the Deep HC programme which is what I usually use. I did swap around with both programmes just whilst I got used to the signal sounds. I absolutely love my Deus ❤
The tekkna program that you mentioned has worked really well for me here in the Midwest part of the United States. I'll be interested in giving this Jethro program a try. Thanks to you and Jethro for sharing
Too funny.... I was using the diving program on fields back when the Deus 2 got released. My buds were laughing at me but it works well on deep low conductors as you know. Another sidebar is you can help out with EMI such as power lines by using the Salt Sense.
Right this is my job for tomorrow - get the manual out and work out how to set up this bad boy! Lots of people have suggested I try this Jethro program so here goes! 😊 thanks for sharing 😊
I can take no credit. Mr Jethro is the pioneer and designer and it’s my go to programme every time and every day and you’ve seen the finds it’s produced!! Love it!
@@thescottishdetectorist cor it’s a good programme is that Jethro ! I’ve just loaded it up and made a YT vid about it - already found some silver on a part of the land I thought was barren!
Not only is the Jethro program great on land it is awesome on the beach as well , I used it on TENBY beach it was very stable and the depth is unbelievable, I dug out a few silver sixpence on the beach at good depth also half a small gold plated ring and even a musket ball ,so thanks again 😀
I usually have my audio output for headphones at 9. Audio filter at 5,as I like the long smooth tones . And the audio offset at 15. Everything else as the Scottish Detectorist has described.
Put your program in next to my own custom program that uses beach sens as the base program, side by side tests show your program is not as sensitive or as deep...

And tekkna versus Roman , I spoke to jethro while we sat around camp fire in feb , detecting rally minus 4 lol it was a great weekend
Thanks for this, very kind of you and Jethro to share. Will try it out … 👍 have you any idea why a seemingly successful land program like this would be based on an underwater program? 🤔
M8 I have tried this jethro and the forager program and set up some testing in my garden. I was very surprised think you should try it out. I had two Roman bronze fibula silvecut quarter gold ring and lead cloth seal. I have not seen you dig any Roman fibula but yes you do get small brass.try both the forager jethro against the fast program. I was a bit surprised the fast program beat both and picked up my small fibula ware the jethro and forager did not.

set up on my machine and like the testing with my favorite targets. we have no mineralization here but tons of iron at plantation sites. hopefully give it a run next week. thanks and always like your videos. take care
Hi there. Generally I push the sensitivity up and down between 90 and 98 depending on the conditions. More chitter reduce the sensitivity. Same with reactivity. Sometime I go as low as 1.0 again, if it’s chittery push it up a bit. Otherwise low and slow and see how you get on. You can also jump between 24 and 40khz Happy hunting!
I hope John doesn’t mind me answering for him,as he is busy. I generally dig anything above 30. If I had reason to believe there was fine gold,I would dig 27-28,with an Adjustment to tone breaks.
Great, thanks very much John, I’ll give that a go 🤞Can I ask - does it wear down the battery faster? I used Gary’s Tekkna a few times with sensitivity on 95 but it used my battery up quite a lot quicker. I can usually get around 8hrs on the Sens FT but only several on the Tekkna. It’s a good programme though.
