What a cold day out, Marcus, you are truly dedicated! The silver buckle fragment is lovely, as well as the yachting button. Nice finds, despite the weather!❤
Thanks Cynthia! Bit slow on the comments this week! It was great fun until the horizontal snow rolled in, but lovely to be out nonetheless! I really enjoy those yachting buttons....will have to find a way to display them all one of these days! Hope you and yours are safe and well x
Cheers john - horizontal snow was my cue to leave....I braved it until then hehe! Thanks as always mate, went back to the same spot yesterday to try and find more of the buckle but no joy....some nice coins though! Take care my friend
Cheers Mark mate - bit slow on the comments this week!! Yes, would've love that buckle to be whole...I was back at the same spot yesterday but no joy this time...plenty of coins tho! Thanks as always mate
Cheers Paul! I always enjoy our wonderful hobby, no matter the weather.....although the horizontal snow made it a challenge too far that morning!hehe Thanks as always for watching mate, have a great week
It’s easy watching from the warmth of home, but winter digging can be bitter. Love a good button and that was a great yacht club one. Have a good weekend mate. 😊

Cheers Andrew mate! It was a 4-seasons in a day kinda dig, but loved every minute of it....well maybe not the horizontal snow!! Thanks as always for watching mate. I hear from Gareth that you've been in touch, so looks like your plans for 2024 are coming together! Love to you both mate
Cheers John! It was manageable until the snow started coming down hard and in my face! Enjoyable digging though mate. Thanks as always for watching, hope all is well pal
Great job Marcus! Plenty of odds and ends coming up. The buttons were nice as well as the silver buckle fragment! That was very fancy looking my friend 💪 that weather got crazy there at the end brother! Well done on sticking it out! Thanks for sharing Marcus 🤠 Happy Hunting 🍀
Nothing like the sub-zero temperatures you have Shane mate, but the horizontal snow was enough to send me acking back to the car!! Thanks as always for watching my friend & sorry for the slow reply
Thank you so much Julie! Not my greatest short dig, but was pleased to find that silver piece! Hope all is well with you & the family, and thanks as always for watching! Marcus x
Give me snow over rain anyday…lol however a blizzard is another matter altogether….run for the car! 😂 The manticore didn’t let you down on a done to death permission, brilliant and guess what?…I’m getting my hands on one in February so I might message you for some tips! 🎉😊Great hunt, great editing, even the bit where we go up your left trouser leg 😅 Catch you later lovely, Julie xxx
The left trouser leg shot was just for you Jules!hehehe Oooooh nice to hear you'll be on the Manticore soon my lovely - she's a scatty girl but once you calm her down she is a cracking piece of kit! Looking forward to seeing you swinging with her soon!xxx
Most enjoyble thank you Marcus. That is a very nice buckle fragment buddy. Maybe you'll find the rest right soon. Buttons can be lovely little things too. Rather a decorated button than just another penny any day. Nice one too 😉
Totally agree Del mate - I love those yachting buttons....will have to find a way to display them one of these days mate. Was back at the same spot yesterday trying to find more of that buckle but no joy sadly. Thanks as always for watching pal, have a good week
not a bad few hours mate. bit of silver and 2 nice buttons too. I don't mind the snow, but only when it's settled on tje ground, not when it's coming down like that and sticking to you. enjoyable watch as always Marcus mate 🙂👍

Hi Marcus , what do you mean out at first light it dosent come light till 7.30 😂 anyway nice video pal decent finds to love the buttons and a nice bit of silver shame the weather turned out a bit nasty and calling it a day was a good call , hope you have warmed up a bit mate best wishes and ATB Rob 🙋♂👍👍👍
Haha! Thanks Rob mate - think first light was about 7:15 here mate! Horizontal snow was too much for me mate, it was a run for the car shortly after that clip! Thanks as always for watching my dear friend! Hope all is well
Hey Marcus, enjoyed this one mate, can't beat a bit of snow and you captured it brilliantly. My kinda conditions!! You always find interesting things on that place, it is a shame you will be losing it to the ever growing construction popping up all over the place. The silver item does look buckle shaped, but I'd go out on a limb and lean towards a brooch fragment. Here's a question, in the last 12 months how many doors have you knocked on to ask for metal detecting permission?
Thanks as always Gaz, and sorry for the slow reply. I loved the conditions.....for a while......but the horizontal snow in my face was enough to head for the car! Managed to secure a new (but small) couple of fields recently (2 different land owners) so am looking forward to trying them out soon! Stay cool my friend!
@@Notchedto11 good man Marcus, aquiring new permissions has so many benefits. I know its tough, especially down south. Google maps is an awesome tool. Drive around and explore areas, look for footpaths. Find some hills, hills are great
that looks like a worn bronze roman i find those all the time same look,i reconise that perm pretty sure its the same one i had a few years ago im also essex
Cheers Rhys, nice to hear from you mate! This perm is pretty quiet now, but still get a few bits up now & again, although all of the fields are soon to be quarried (it's actually started this month) so will be looking for other land soon! Thanks for watching mate
Great commentary Marcus, very easy to listen to and view. Definitely one of the best that I’ve seen. Looking forward to the next one! ✅
Thank you so much for those super kind words! Massively appreciated!!
More power to you Marcus for sticking it out in the snow and cold. It is so hard to concentrate when it gets cold. Some interesting finds too.
Cheers John mate! I managed to brave it until the horizontal snow came!hehe Thanks for watching mate, hope you are well!
