Hi Marcus, that is awesome you managed to randomly stumble across your lost towel, definitely needs a good wash !! For a done to death field you done very well, bet there's still tonnes of stuff to be found there mate
I shall keep going over that field when I fancy it mate......it's given me plenty including a couple of bucket listers. Different soil to the main fields so I feel it was once a garden of a larger house. Saw you posted a video this weekend so look forward to watching soon x
Can't tell you how pleased I was to see that buried in the grass Jax. I wouldn't have been much longer before it was out of site and lost forever I suspect. Thanks as always for watching, spotted your latest on here yesterday so will look forward to watching! Have a lovely weekend & good luck if you're out. Mx
It's not always about the finds, sometimes it's just nice to go to your happy place, and it really paid off for you. Not only a lovely little token, but the return of your cloth.. Great stuff Marcus 👍✌
Nice to hear from you George, and thanks as always for watching mate. Was very pleased to find the towel in the grass...made my day. Hope all is well mate
Thanks Doug mate - was lovely to get your email this week - must admit I like seeing the 3D printing so look forward to seeing your creations! Great news that you're getting ever stronger! Made my week! You stay safe too my dear friend!
Thanks Lesley - can't tell you how gutted I was to lose the towel....it wouldn't have been many more months before it had gone beneath the grass and mud forever (there was loads of grass growing through it when I first found it & before I cleaned it up), so I was so grateful. Hope all is well, see you soon I hope!
Great video mate, as we get older some things mean more to us. Great you have it back, I thought it was going to be your tripod but that’s way better. Have a good weekend.
@@theoldgroatdetectorist couldn’t have said it better myself Andy mate! I was absolutely devastated when I lost it. Got a nice sturdy clip now so hoping it’ll stay on forever! Thanks as always mate, hope your recovery continues well
Hey that's wonderful you found this momento of your friend Marcus, and I'm pretty sure all your subscribers will feel the same way 🙏🏻 Really great that you included this in the video mate - thanks for sharing, an' look fwd to seeing it proudly back in use... 🥰 I lost a (musician) friend too young a couple of years ago, an' it's tough hey? I have some great music to remember him by, plus occasionally find myself doing impressions of him - which is kinda weird... and kinda hilarious in equal measure... Anyways, good for you Marcus! B x Ps. Did you clock the (Military) 'Pimple Button' you found? they're +/- The Civil war era, (but you prob. know this mate... 🙏🏻)
Sorry to hear the loss of your friend Bobby mate....it's so tough to accept when they go too soon. Maybe someone upstairs had grander plans for them eh?! Can't tell you how pleased I am to have the towel back on the belt at last....means so much to me....and thanks as always for watching my friend. Every day's a school day mate - had no idea those little pimple buttons were of that era.....glad I keep them all! Hope you had a great weekend pal - me and Marky Mark were out on his fields on Saturday....toughest conditions ever I tell you! All the best mate
@@Notchedto11 Hey thanks for great reply as ever Marcus - yeah, we have to think there's a reason for this sorta sh*t eh?... The old 'Gallows Hunour' can help too, I find. He was (initially) a pal from school - and, at the wake, some wise-a*s said: "He's done it again the git! - He was always the First to do *everything* back at school!..."
YAY!!! Marcus... glad to see your back ... and your front too... lol. Been a long time you lovely lot... you made my day. I'm happy for you when you find good stuff but I'm happy for me to have you taking us out detecting. peace out brother.
Gene my dear friend! Great to hear from you!! Hope all is well with you & yours.....thanks as always for watching - always enjoy your comments popping up! I'm off to Detectival this weekend which means lots of fun & banter with the lads....and hopefully some good finds. Wish me luck & see you in a bit!
Thank you so much Cynthia - was the find of the year for me, locating the lost towel. I've got it attached to a more sturdy clip now! This was filmed many months ago now, just as the promise of warmer & drier weather was upon us.....little did we know that it would rain for about 2 months soon after hehe! Hope all is well with you x
Cheers Paul mate! Funnily enough I was giving those coins you sent me a clean this week whilst plugging away in the office. They have a lovely spot on the side of my desk! Thanks as always for watching pal
Glad you found your towel. Congrats on the token Marcus. Any time out is a good time out. Gee you got some buttons. Well done cobber. Take care mate 🦘🦘😁👍
Cheers Andrew mate! Can't tell you how gutted I was when I lost the towel....it wouldn't have been many more months before it had gone beneath the grass and mud forever (there was loads of grass growing through it when I first found it & before I cleaned it up), so I was so absolutely thrilled to spot it....the coil beeped as I just caught the edge of the carabiner it was attached to....was lucky as I nearly missed it. Have a great weekend pal - can't wait to see you both soon!
Great finds Marcus and a brilliant video always enjoy watching. That medieval lead farm/trade token is a beauty and a George IV never found one of those. Well done mate and all the best Marcus 👍🏻
Great video mate, glad to see you back out and posting. Hope you’re well, and what a coincidence that is to find your towel again! Definitely lots more to come out of that field, hope to see you at detectival this year!!
Nice to hear from you Paddy. Hope you, Dad, Callum & Mum are all well. Your Dad and I keep missing each other on the phone, but hope to catch up with you both soon, and will definitely see you at Detectival mate - can't wait
Nice four hour hunt Marcus, well done with finding your hand towel. The token was a nice find as was the farthing. I've been hitting the beaches the last few outings and really enjoyed it. Take care my friend see you in the next.
Great to hear from you John, and thanks as always for watching mate. Miles behind on everyone's videos I must confess, but really looking forward to seeing you at Detectival!
He's a cool customer. Lovely token buddy and nice you found some sentiment in the winds. Success I say. Out on a group dig tomorrow. Not undetected of course but I'm sure I'll find something if not some therapy. In a field with a detector is also my happy place. A beer garden is a close 2nd 😄
Well now Del, I trust this finds you with a finds pot full of goodies after your weekend! Thanks as always for watching mate - a pub beer garden always sits quite high on my happy place list too! Thanks again pal
Catching up, not sure how this passed me by. Loads of holes dug and plenty of finds..... great to see you found the towel, especially as it means so much. Take care mate.
Haven't been out since May, but you're right....the Manticore has been gathering dust in my office which just isn't right. When I have a quick hunt the D2 seems to be the one I grab first. I've got some events coming up so it will soon be out again the Beast!
@@Notchedto11I just bought the Manticore a couple of months ago and sold my d2. Found a couple of hammered coins and a roman coin with it. Great machine. Only issue I have with it is mineralisation in the ground can be a nuisance and have to turn the sensitivity down a good few notches. But it is a deep machine. stabiliser setting is good to quieten it down a bit. . 👍
