I love Christine’s sense of humour and commentary! Always fun to watch you guys. 😊
Nice hunt I enjoyed watching beautiful ocean glad to see you both having fun take care and stay safe see you on the next hunt
We love our manticore.nice and light as well
Cool.... so far so good!!!
👍 ringing in the New Year with rings LOL oh and coinage for cupcakes 🧁
Yes, they are already starting to add up. Just need to find some of them yellow metal ones that have a K in the marking... thanks
It’s good to see you both. Christine you so deserve a cup cake! I wish I could have met you when I was in CA.
Thanks Genevieve... She was bummed she had to work... I make sure I visit the Bundt cake store often for her
Well done both of you! Keep on detecting 💗💗💗⭐️⭐️⭐️😊
Good morning
I love it when you guys are having fun that’s why I love this channel. Thank you guys and thanks for sharing
Thanks Benji... we do get a bit silly but really enjoy hunting together!!!
Another great video Bill, you guys just keep getting better with every new video. Christine does look tired but still makes you look good. Take care of her and yourself. God bless you both.
Great unveiling of your new work horse. Christine looks like she lives in the arctic. I was expecting to see the northern lights dancing across the sky and maybe a polar bear or two. Both hunts went well. The two dimensional imaging seems very cool! The extra depth will help for relic hunting. Now Christine needs one and a cupcake.
Thanks... it was a fun detector to use. Have not decided yet if the 2D is useful or a novelty. You are too funny. She is always layered up for the weather...
I believe that second ring you found is the "one ring", a knock off Lord of the Rings ring! LOL....cool finds at the park!
Yes, I agree... this one is in really bad shape... did not even see the writings until I tumbled it
Great video. You'll definitely love the Manticore once you get used to it. At 9:50 in the video, you find that piece of wire, and commented on the shape of the 2D image, but the machine also told you it was ferrous metal (Junk) with the red line above the image.
I went out 2 weeks ago with mine and hit a penny at 17 inches, in mineralized soil. I'm learning to weed out the junk. Very impressed with the detector, just wish we had more to sell. There's only about 350 total in the USA right now and waiting on the next shipment. Also waiting for the two new coils that they're releasing soon.
Thanks... yeah, we have a lot more to learn about the Manticore but it is impressive. Crazy about the deep penny. I will have to see if I need one of the new coils...hum
I guess we are the lucky ones I got mine a few weeks ago I I'm learning mine as well. I have noticed the 2d screen shows a nice round target even on pull tabs and other junk items and does not work on deep targets it's fun learning a new detector good luck with the manticore looking forward to some good beach hunts
Minelab kickin butt!
Yup.... I so agree
Nice new detector, sweet
Thanks Sheila
Wow!! The 2nd 1/2 of your video in the park was awesome!! Thanks for sharing your insight on the Manticore. Keep sharing, have fun!
Thanks... we will try and get it out again soon. Hopefully I can learn more about it so I can use it better
The Manicore looked like it was doing good for you Bill. Christine looked so tired but great to see you guys at beach.
Christine has been tired for months... I feel really bad dragging her out but she would not have it any other way. The Manticore did a good job on our first hunts with it
Love it! Good luck on your future finds!
Thanks Melody
Hi Christine and Bill, That was interesting seeing the different 3D images on the Minelab Manticore I think that is going to be very useful as you test this detector. Christine did well finding targets considering it was new to her also, unfortunately the beach has a lot of trash dredged in to the sand. The best part was finding three rings on the first day using the Minelab Manticore great job by both of you. Thanks for the video looking forward to the next one with the Minelab Manticore, 💍💍💍
Nice hunt you two at Seal beach. Another addition to your treasure hunting with the Manticore, looking forward to see you two with that and what you find.
Thanks... we will get some more practice in with it. Another beach trip is in the works too.
Congrats on the new detector and the great finds!
Was detecting in my yard the other day, only had this property for a little over a year. I found a 10k gold plated wedding band and a cool metal toy jet. Great finds in the park, Bill! 🥰😃
Wow, that is so cool...treasures right under your nose.... thanks
Glad to see you both getting out and having some fun in the sun! Great grass hunt too, Bill! Congrats on the rings and thanks for sharing your first go around with the Manticore! 🙂
Thanks Ciera... That park has been good to me but yes, we really had a nice morning at the beach...very pretty
Sweet!! Looks like a lovely day!
Thanks... I am lovely... so was the day!
Nice finds... enjoyed the video......stay safe out there you two! 😊
Looks Like you two had a fun time with the New Detector. Score on the rings. That park is giving you a good run for the Manticore. Lots of targets. I find on the off season Beaches are harder to find the goods but the trash seems to come out more.. Thanks for taking us along..Peace
Thanks...yeah, so much trash especially after the sets of storms. I guess we can get it out now so its gone for later hunts. Enjoyed the detector on our first time using it.
congrats thats a great machine
Thanks... our first hunts with it were fun.... I really wanna try going somewhere that I can dig deep...
Nice metal detector
Good tandem
Love bless
Thanks Emilio... It is pretty easy to use but I have to learn more about it
@@DigginSoCal I can't afford one so I made my self a L rod and japanese wand..for locating load..(gold, silver,ect..)
YOU TWO ARE CRAZY ITS WAY TOO COLD TO BE AT THE BEACH. ON THESE COLD DAYS YOU NEED TO GO TO THE PARKS. HOPE YOU FIND SOME GOLD GOOD LUCK.
To beautiful to pass up... gotta just mix it up and get Christine a 4th layer
Great video and hunt's 👍 congrats on the three rings. Looks like the Manticore is performing beautifully. Thanks. G.
Congratulations on the New Detector. I need the 2 feet of snow to melt so I can get out and Detect. Happy Detecting 🙃🙃🙃
Thanks...dang, two feet..that is deep
a three ring circus! more finger blingers, awesome. Fun day at the park!
Looks like a good new machine. Always love your posts!
Thanks Nora... so far it has been a fun machine to use.
Nice hunt, you always make it exciting
Hey Bill...I'm wondering if the 2D helps differentiate between pull tabs and nickels?
My experience with detectors tells me that nickels and pull tabs ring up very, very similar to one another. Could you let me know if the little picture helps tell the difference? It would be awesome to be able to bypass the pull tabs, right? I still appreciate your and Christine's fortitude to go out so consistently. Good weather or bad your commitment to detecting and to your fans (me). I continue to pray for both of you. For your safety and for success in your endeavors.
Thank you Michael. I need a little more time with it but I will pay attention to that. I know the pull tabs can trick you if they are bent but with the Nox if it is a 13/14 it is probably a tab but a solid 13 has a better chance to be a nickel. So, I will learn the nickel and tab numbers for the Manticore and then do a little test.
@@DigginSoCal thank you very much, Bill! I have a, "whites mxt". On it there is a wide range that covers tabs/nickels. On mine nickels will show as a 14-16, under the tab heading. Thanks again.
Wow! You didn’t say you were going to get a manticore….you kind of mentioned that you’d more than likely get the Nox 900 for your style of hunting…..so many are still waiting for this machine! Best of luck to you with this state of the art detector! That park you hunted produced hundreds of quarters for my Dad and I. I only went back a few times…but I see you’re digging a lot more conductors than I wanted to, and you’re pulling the rings.
We did not know we were gonna get the Manticore either... My guy called and said he got one in and I made the mistake of telling him I would take it...lol. I compared the 900 to the 800 and did not think the new features were worth the extra money then dang it if I didn't spend even more....lol. Now I have to go and find somewhere that I can dig deep.... I am getting the idea you have detected every park in our area...lol
Christine made a new friend.. the tanned gull :)
That was def an interesting color for a gull....
@@DigginSoCal a first for me too!
Congrats on the new detector! Excited to see how it performs for you guys!
Bill and Christine, Congrats on getting the Beast! I got mine on Fri 13. LOL
Awesome video guys, thank you
Thanks. Looking forward to getting some more detecting time with the manticore
Jajaja….Chest press for the rats! Jajaja the coolest find Christine… Greetings from México…
Great video 👍✌️
Thank you
Thanks.
I knew it congratz on the ring Bill, I was just guessing
Rings! Including the "One" ring! Manticore looks like a pretty good machine so far, looking forward to seeing more of it and what you think.
Thanks... so far so good. That park keeps giving me rings but no gold ones yet.
The first ring looks like an old mood ring that's not in the mood anymore or an Opel faux ring. The second ring looks like a Lord of the Rings Elvish Love poem Ring in Elf writing, "One ring to show our love, One ring to bind us, One ring to seal our love, And forever to entwine us." I tried to copy-paste Elf's writing but the computer did not understand it. Found it on the "Jens Hansen" the ring maker, site.
Interesting.... the writing was not visible until I tumbled it. It is in pretty bad shape. I think that makes three LOR rings so far. thank you
@@DigginSoCal When you showed the ring cleaned up I knew I had seen it somewhere. Took me about 30 minutes to find it. Glad I could help.
The Manticore looks like a good machine. That last ring you found might be homemade from a stainless steel nut it is real cool.
Awesome machine
Glad your trying it out
Will you be comparing it to other machines .
Bill is it possible to purchase a beanie like the one your wearing . Ty for sharing the video enjoyed
Thanks...not sure if we will compare it but we plan on hitting another beach tomorrow or Friday... I am sure one of us will have the Manticore (Christine) and I will probably use the NOX.
Great video
Dig the ones on the center line. I used beach general it seemed really sensitive. Very small targets small earrings and jewelry. Good luck.
Thanks for the info..... So far we like this detector.... we do have to learn more about it
I love it when you pick on Bill,Iam making myself a bet on who can find a ring first with the manicore detector, come on Christine find one first, just kidding Bill, but I wanna see who can find a ring first
I don't mind being picked on... Most of the time I don't here what Christine says until I am editing...lol. I got the first rings though...however, we need to see who gets the first gold or silver with it. I am going to give her a head start. On the next hunt, she can use it and I will use the NOX
I can’t wait, I’ll be watching to see who gets the gold or silver
Hello Bill and Christine
Howdy
Great three rings find
You two are so funny y’all should start a comedy show on metal detecting lmfao
Hum... that would be fun. We just got a green screen and hopefully we will get a chance to play with it soon.
The manticore is a great machine I took mine to Newport for it's first hunt
Sweet... hopefully you had some good finds.
Lol mostly trash and a lot of very small pieces I did get a nice deep Wheatie and a junk ring
Nice finds
Ha ha ha, my Mom tried to put a square peg in a round hole the other day. She said that she can’t get it to go together.
I had to point it out to her and then we both laughed.
The beach that I have been detecting has been stripped of its sand and most of the targets. Two of us detected for 3 hours and found only 2 bottle caps. Has this beach been totally destroyed ? will good target come back with the sand?
Good questions... I know my friends in Oregon hunt a beach where the sand shifts a lot. When it does, they find good stuff. I think targets will get pushed back in and then there is the fresh drops... everything moves.
I'm sure Gary ate the frosting,. Seagulls will grab anything when you are not looking 🐤
Wow Christine that California cold must be rough! What was it 80°? Lol
⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐Congratulations on your new Manticore! ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐
I'm still waiting for Minelab to satisfy preexisting orders.
I've included some notes that I've collected. Use at your own discretion.
To utilize the Target Trace to it's full potential, rotate 90 degrees on targets of interest.
Gold TID values, Mode, Audio theme, and Metal from Surfside Dan.
Gold chains and rings TID range from 1 to 69.
Mode: Beach Low Conductor.
Audio theme: “Depth”.
Metal: All Metal.
An idea I have for beach gold.
Manticore 2-Regions All Tones:
Region 1:
TID 0 notch out.
TID 1 to 29. Gold chains and rings.
Region 2:
TID 30 to 69. Gold chains and rings.
TID 70 to 99. Notch out if you don't want to be bothered digging silver, copper, etc.
Test the TID of your gold ring collection.
Ferrous limits, up to you, test nails, bobby pins, etc.
On soil, I've noticed that a TID with a spread of 4 or more, probably ferrous, trash and/or commingled artifacts. Dig it all until you know your soil.
The precedence (order-of-events) of setting the Manticore parameters is (sequential) and import for your metal detector to operate at it's peak performance.

Burr... I was up in SoCal abt 6mo ago.. I didn't realize it did get a bit cold there..... I miss it there..
Hope you all have a great ♥ day.
It seems to me that the numbers that are coming up for the targets on the Manticore, are double the number value of the Equinox numbers, more or less. You can pretty much guess the target that way if you’ve used or use the Equinox models. Happy Hunts. _/ 👍
I’d love to live in California where beaches are lovely and available all year.
Interesting... I will have to pay attention to that... thanks

I’m jelly. Need to get me one of those! The manticore will probably work great for finding the deep old coins and relics.
Hey Bill and Christine, what do you both think about the weight balance of the Manticore? How does it compare to the other Minelab detectors that you have? Thanks.
You found the one ring to rule them all.
You guys forgot to tell me you were going to SB. I live about 5 minutes from there.
seems like a nox with different numbers and irritating sounds. like the stronger looking coil ears tho.
Minelab should do a recall on all equinox 11" coils😀
Well said. I do not like the sounds but I have to play with it some more. I am not sure if the tones can be changed. Also, I have already had to replace an 11 in coil... horrible design
Good morning, y’all.
So why weren’t you detecting the wet this morning?
We did a bit but were not having much luck out there... there is still a ton of aluminum in the surf from the storms....
Oh Christine you look sooo cold!!.... I saw Bigfoot at minute 7:30 (compare to the classic 1967 Patterson-Gimlin image of Bigfoot).... ..He doesn't take you fishing because you almost gave him tetanus last year remember "Hey Bill reach your bare hand into this scoop full of rusty fishing lures"!!! hahaha.....at 14:26 Gary's brother from another mother-cute......"Somebody's a dime dropper" great! ahhahahahaha...Bill the 2D image feature is cool!. I noticed the pull tab and at least one ring showed 2D squishy line, as opposed to say the solid circle for a quarter. Do you think that is because of the orientation of the ring in the soil- laying vertically vs. horizontally?...thanks for cleaning up the parks!
Christie will not be happy😅😅😅
Christine is so use to me coming back with rings now... funny
It must be really cold ❄️
It wasn't too bad. I think it was only around 50 when we got there.
Manticore or Equinox 800 which do you prefer ? thanks
How much did you buy it?
👍
Has anyone noticed Garrett has changed the tone on the Carrot. More like a vibrating noise then the beeping.
and I thought there was something wrong with it....
Do you have some canned slaw
I've found illegal homemade gillnets with homemade weights along the bottom of the net like that.
Seal Beach Has to be one of the Most searched in the world, But the MANTICORE Metal Detector was Impressive.... IMO... If you Care to why not tell us about your day Jobs IF YOU CARE TOO...... My reason for asking Retired Military been out to the area Many times.....Looks like where I stayed at the Huntington Beach Hilton....
I am retired and was army reserve in the 80s. I always thought Huntington got detected more but during the past few months I am now convinced all SoCal beaches are getting hit a ton. Everywhere we go, others are detecting... heck, even my parks are not producing. Thus, the grass
Bill..that ring has lord of the rings etching on it..
I am the one who has the ring for her and it was still would be from her
looks like one of the lord of the ring ring replicas ;)
Yes... I agee
Are you going to go to a rally? Chain mail! Roman!
Che impressione avete su manticore ? Secondo me non va tanto bene
That was our first try with it... I need some more time but I still think no other detector I have used has locked onto a target as well as the Equinox so far.
I herd u never bin fishing before I can teach u how 2
💞👍
I would like to see y'all melt the aluminum in your own coins
I have thought about melting stuff but I need to do some research... I am a little scared to try it...lol
@@DigginSoCal I look forward to watching you melting some aluminum, love your channel 👍👍
First, maybe. Up o dark thirty thinking ‘ hey you guys on are on today, I’m going to wait till you get on so I can be first’. I may need a life.
LOL... thanks for getting up early for us Edward
That’s OK bills got wisdom and you’re learning laughing out loud
Cupcakes $
RATS! 😂
Is she his girlfriend
you wasted your money buying that almost all of your targets are within 5 inches of the surface even when you go to parks you did not need that
True...not for the hunting we have been doing...however, my plan is to find some places where I can dig deep so it will be a good tool to have for those times.
