    Joan-Marie; just found your channel & I’m thrilled. Decoupaged many many years ago. Want to make gifts for Christmas for all family. Would love to put photos to penalize them, can you advise if that is doable? If so, a video 101 or remedial for those of us that are visual learners. Love coasters. So fresh n pretty. Thank you. Will be going through your whole channel to find other projects i’m sure will enjoy doing for myself. Fine decoupaging therapeutic. Gosh, so in need of that right now in this crazy world we are experiencing right now.
    Hugs girl.

    I love your site!
    Especially on how to get the wrinkles out of the coasters. Messed up four of ceramic tiles so far with a different method. Sent hubby to JoAnn's for Cricut Easy Press. Starting over on them today. Question: Have you used ceramic tiles for coasters and if so, does the iron method work on them?

    • @JoanMarieDomino
      @JoanMarieDomino  3 года назад

      Hi! Yes the iron-on method works with ceramic. Tiles are very smooth so you may want to give them a couple coats of chalk paint first. I love that little iron, I use it almost everyday! Let me know how it goes! - Joan 🙂

      Hi Diana! I am not completely satisfied with all the top coat sealants I have tried. Some crafters like clear high-heat car engine spray. I have tried it and it didn’t always work for me and it needs about 4 weeks time to cure. I turn mine upside down and use the cork side for now. Or decor only.

      Hi Stephanie! Those items are available from Vippies Designs. Sorry if that was unclear. The coasters are 4 x 4 and they have 5 x 5 now too. The calendars come in 3 sizes plus as an easel. All info is at their website www.vippies.com thank you for watching! - Joan 🙂

    Would like to know whether we csn keep hot things (hot cup of tea) on decoupaged coasters

    • @JoanMarieDomino
      @JoanMarieDomino  Год назад

      I use them for cold. You can seal them with Polyvine sealant, the variety with the 3 shells on the label. With Polyvine hot cups wouldn’t stick. Takes about 30 days to cure.

    I made photo coasters for the first time. They are gifts. I took the photos and went through the same process as you do with the napkins, except I did not put Mod Podge on top of the photos. Instead, I put 3 layers of Mod Podge spray sealer. Is that good enough? If you place a glass with a beverage on top of the coaster, will it prevent the condensation from seeping through the photo? Thanks 🤗

    you are becoming my favorite .. i tried plastic wrap method but one observation that if i put the napkin immediately it sticks to plastic wrap too and when you try to remove the wrap it forms wrinkles or tear the napkin ,,, what wrong im doing . and i did iron method too for paper but it formed bubble after first coat of mod podge top

    • @JoanMarieDomino
      @JoanMarieDomino  3 года назад

      Hi Sona! Thank you for the kind words! With the coasters if you use the iron-on method there is no need for the plastic wrap because the glue is dry. Put a very light coat of Mod Podge on top, let it completely dry then repeat the iron-on process and that should prevent bubbles. You can use a spray sealant on top of the coasters too. A couple very light coats. Hope that helps - Joan 🙂
