    We moved a bit rural in Southern California in retirement. I was shocked the recycle of greens and goods is not picked up. Everywhere else we had 3 bins. So been saving tins. I use them in my workshop as is but this is a great idea! I was also given some books from a lot. I had offered to buy the old ones but he gave them to me. Some from early 1900s but i looked up. Value is hardly there for not damaged. So I’m going to use pages from those. Pretty unique dialogs back in the day!

Your napkins are very pretty, could you add lace along the bottom of the can, or add a pretty fluffy bow of ribbon on the handle, and finish it off with an aged pretty tag, sorry only means to positively accent your already great projects...Renee in Colorado

    I’m about to do a decoupage project with my elderly mother in law so this video is so helpful. Is the Rustoleum sealant to be sprayed on just the outside of the can or the inside of can as well? I have the PodModge spray can, is that okay to use as sealant?

    • @JoanMarieDomino
      @JoanMarieDomino  5 месяцев назад +1

      You need to spray the inside and outside of the can if you want to put a live plant in it. However the can will still eventually rust. That’s ok with me I have several like that right now sitting on my patio. Or just put faux flowers, pens, spoons, etc. It’s very sweet that you will decoupage with your mom! I love it! Enjoy! ❤️ Joan

    Nice! Was the lemon paper on a pink background, or did you cut very close to the image?

      The lemon napkin is on top of pink paint, no cutting

      @@JoanMarieDomino it looked like the napkin had a white background. How did you get it to blend so well?

    How did you apply a full napkin without cutting it? Like the coffee one.

      I applied the napkin all the way around very carefully and filed off the excess napkin. I cradle the can in a basket of rice and do half at a time. Joan

    Using fabric on glass and cans do you use paint on them and do use mod pod to glue the fabrics to the can or glass ??

      Hi! I don’t use paint when I use fabric because normally you can’t see thru it.

    Do you need to prime the inside and outside of the raw can first? Cheers from Australia.

      You should paint the can before adding napkin. If you mean preventing rust from a live plant or being outdoors then spray Rustoleum on the inside and outside of the can first!- Joan 🙂
