I've been playing computer games online since 1972 and have always had a particular fondness for simulator type games. Driving, flying, tanks, or battlemechs, the more realistic and difficult, the better. I've just recently upgraded my PC to get up to speed for VR and also more recently bought a Quest 3. I've had a little luck getting War Thunder working through Steam, but haven't gotten into DCS yet. This game looks incredibly interesting and I'll be following it's development. Hopefully it will have full VR support! 🤟🧙♂🤟
4:30 is that a wildcat or a buffalo? the size of the canopy makes m think Buffalo but it's hard to say with the fire, I just made a model of it so I know that the antena placement corresponds too... I'l look at some pictures! XD Edidted: yep, looked it up, it is indeed a Buffalo, the antenna mast on the wildcat was in the back of the cockpit and the bigger cannopy.
@@SimHangerFS I think if I hadn't recently build a model of it I wouldn't have noticed. Especially knowing the wildcat wild be in the game but they haven't talked about the Buffalo.
DCS and war thunder pretty much already have this covered. They are going to have to do a VERY VERY good job to dethrone war thunder for damage models, flight models and general combat for ww2 aircraft, and if they ever go into modern jets, DCS is basically the de-facto standard with war thunder just behind it. The benefit here of another competitor is to force the 2 dominant players (DCS and war thunder) to adapt their games to keep players away from a potential competitor. GHPC didnt really draw players away from war thunder though, so.... maybe this will get the hardcore ww2 sim pilots interested, but i still think war thunder really has that covered, or the IL2 series.
Man I’m looking forward to this it looks beautiful. Will this sim be in DCS platform . The pacific WWII theater is my favorite Simulation. ! Send me a notice when this is ready to hit the market.
Im all in, i just hope for a more manageable economy, realistic sims have always been too expensive and small demographics scoped. Sturmovik series was so damn generous in content that everything after it seemed expensive and niche.

Looking forward to it though I think Jason W said last year that it's around five years for development, so a while off yet.
Sounds like a great replacement for IL-2 Pacific Fighters.
As much as I'd love a new sim covering this era and subject, I'd love to buy copies of some of those CAD files as STL's even more so I can feed my 3D printer. Those AA guns are tight.
Yes, I'm up for that. Hey whatever happened to that bush pilot game?
Deadstick…It never came out of Alpha unfortunately. They spent so long trying to make it perfect, technology overtook them.
Combat Pilot......TAKE MY MONEY NOW!!!!!!
Exciting news! I feel some Pacific Theatre AuthentiKit controls on the way....
Hell Yea.
Oh please bring me back to the good old days of Combat Flight Simulator 2 and online multiplayer and international squadrons of 1% aircraft!
ready in 2025!? get it movin' we need this sim this year by december dont know why anyone hasnt tackled this project already people like me have waited long enough. Thank you. on behalf of the combat flight sim community i say thanks
*_Aces of the Pacific enters the chat._* - i’m intrigued, tell me more!
Exciting. First I have heard of this flight simulator. Thanks for putting it on my radar. I agree we need a really good WW2 pacific flight sim.
So why would I get this when I have Il-2? Even if I didn't, why not just get a couple high fidelity DCS WW2 planes?
I loved MS CFS1 and CFS2. I've always been fascinated by the WWII Pacific theater, and this is definitely a first day buy for me! And who knows, maybe this will light a fire under Eagle Dynamics to get their WWII Pacific theater assets done for us. 😀
Finally some focus on the Pacific!
Combat pilot....nice
This is excellent news, we're overdue a new combat simulator, bring it on!
Thanks very much Mark for this very interesting info. I think I’ll be in LAS at Fsexpo and to be able to meet with you.
Look forward to it 😊
can u get close-up kill replays with gore?
I've been playing computer games online since 1972 and have always had a particular fondness for simulator type games. Driving, flying, tanks, or battlemechs, the more realistic and difficult, the better. I've just recently upgraded my PC to get up to speed for VR and also more recently bought a Quest 3. I've had a little luck getting War Thunder working through Steam, but haven't gotten into DCS yet.
This game looks incredibly interesting and I'll be following it's development. Hopefully it will have full VR support!
🤟🧙♂🤟
soooo buying this!
day one!
Flying Leathernecks yes please!
Those wallpapers are nuts.
4:30 is that a wildcat or a buffalo? the size of the canopy makes m think Buffalo but it's hard to say with the fire, I just made a model of it so I know that the antena placement corresponds too... I'l look at some pictures! XD
Edidted: yep, looked it up, it is indeed a Buffalo, the antenna mast on the wildcat was in the back of the cockpit and the bigger cannopy.
Oh I thought it was the F4F Wildcat.
Bring it!
Can't wait for it! 😛👍
If Jason is running the show you can just forget good sounds, engine sounds, flyby sounds.
looks good but want a dvd version as broadband here sucks
Can you still run MS Combat Flight Sim on today's laptops?
They will be competing with DCS. Looking forward to it.
Man I’m looking forward to this it looks beautiful. Will this sim be in DCS platform . The pacific WWII theater is my favorite Simulation. ! Send me a notice when this is ready to hit the market.
I loved Microsoft's combat flight sim's, back in the day.
Me too
Im all in, i just hope for a more manageable economy, realistic sims have always been too expensive and small demographics scoped. Sturmovik series was so damn generous in content that everything after it seemed expensive and niche.
