    On this channel we like to do a lot of dogfighting most videos are some sort of dogfight between 2 different aircraft as we explore their different capabilities. From time to time I like to dabble in Virtual Reality, I think VR is a great new technology and I love to show that stuff off for the channel from time to time.
    If you enjoy war thunder or Microsoft flight simulator 2020, consider getting yourself into Digital Combat Simulator by Eagle Dynamics, the Combat side of Aviation with the BVR and Dogfights really provides a different and interesting perspective on aviation. You can fly all kinds of combat aircraft including the F-16, F-15, F-14, JF-17, Su-27, Mig-29, Mirage and the F-18 Hornet along with many other aircraft and helicopters like the Ka-50 and Mi-8.

      @jonnyj. 2 года назад +2

      @@floydnimrod1826 Um... I would argue definitely not. The late model mosquitos with the 2 stage merlins (not like the one we have in dcs) would eat any p38 alive in level speed, acceleration, dive performance, and turn rate. Not to mention it was a much more versatile aircraft in low level strike, night fighting, etc.
      The p38 is still good obviously, but until the very late models it was hampered. Its also a somewhat older design than the mosquito.

    I always enjoy your WWII videos but this one is kinda special. My father was in the Navy and was a part of the first troop landing in Guadalcanal. He was a machinist first class and was in charge of keeping the landing craft operational. People do not know the hell those troops endured in the Pacific Theater. My dad spoke highly of Pappy Boyington because of the air cover his squadron provided when no one else would. My dad was one of 19 survivors when a Japanese sub put a torpedo midship of the LST-342 he was on at the time. They were on their way to the Solomon Islands on a secret mission. The stern of the ship sank but the bow floated. My dad was the only crew member left. The bow of the ship was towed in to the island of Tulagi. There are photos on the internet showing what is left of the bow of the LST-342 beached there as of today. I sure would like to see you go after some Zeros with a F4u Corsair. :-)

    My did flew 46 missions in an F6F from the USS Lexington in the western Pacific in the summer and fall of 1944. This looks pretty good.

    Looks stunning Growler... just think the F4U and F6F will arrive in our lifetimes. Possibly a Val and Kate will show too in '42!!

    I always wondered what a bomber formation defended by fighters looked like from the ground mid attack. All those planes going down, tracers everywhere. Never once seen any footage from that perspective

    A Mustang pilot who served in the Pacific said that Zeros were easy to shoot down since they had no armor or self-sealing fuel tanks so they were easy to shoot down and light on fire.

    Pretty cool video. Be nice to see the mustang in a pacific theater paint scheme but that's the history buff in me. Mustang had a definite role in the pacific. Especially over the Philippines, Japan and they even flew out of Saipan for a while. (Other places too.) Still a cool video though.

    I read about the Battle of Hong Kong about 2 years ago. I’ve been there many times way before that and never knew that history but wished I had so I could have explored that part of the island. It would be cool to see a Hong Kong map!

    The visuals are stunning - especially the smoke. Getting there with DCS and I reckon in a few years time we may see a full scale historically and visually accurate reproduction of Pearl Harbor as the whole place will need to be covered in smoke, especially when the second wave attacks. Now with regard to what we saw, I would like to see the the US Naval and Air Force warbidrs in action, such as the Vaught F4u Corsair and / or the F6F and especially the P-38s into thew action, shredding the lighweight zeroes with the might of their guns.
    So much potential in DCS hidden in there. The only problem may be though the WWII scenery reproduction in order to allow for large-scale missions. Can such a choice between a WWII and modern switch ever exist?

    I only want 2 things in DCS: A proper WW2 Pacific lineup with carriers, hellcats, SBD’s, zeros, vals, and the like - and a proper Vietnam era Yankee station navy lineup with a proper vietnam map. So this video is amazing

    Zeros were flying gas tanks. They didnt have self-sealing gas tanks so hit em with one round and they went up in a fireball.

    Would be nice a Vietnam Map, F-4 with old real missile problems and a Vietnam campaign. And why not, a Vietnam campaign for Huey too, but it’s too early i think…
    However, ED should replicate the F-4E, with no missile problems….

    I hope they include or develop some of the big battleships in the Pacific arena. The Battle for OKINAWA would be prefect. 1000s of planes, 100s of ships and ground forces. US, HMS and Japanese, Yamato, HMS Formidable, USS Bunker Hill.
