Prince O3 phantom 100X tennis racquet review
    O3 technology
    - it corresponds to these large spaces, instead of the classic grommets
    - it's going to give more freedom of movement to the strings than the traditionnal grommets
    - it'll really impact the feeling you have when you play with the racquet
    - it'll increase the comfort, the size of the sweet spot, the power and the access to top spin
    - it also produces something special that is perfectly useless but it's fun, that whistling of the racqet when you swing it fast
    Power
The Prince O3 phantom tennis racquet is part of the Phantom series from Prince, which includes flexible racquets with a fairly thin profile and a low stiffness, control oriented racquets.
I think it's one of the most powerful rackets among the phantom racquets, and at the same time it provides a good control.
control given by thin profile and flexibility of the frame, power given by frame 645, 16x18 string, O3
finally, I'd say there's an intermediate power, good mix between power and control
I had a very nice feeling on my slice backhand, very good control
on my top spin backhand, which is a powerful shot in myy game, I had a good mix between power and control, really fine for me
on my forehand, where I sometimes lack looseness and power, I struggled a bit more. Overall it was ok but sometimes I lacked some easy power.
I didn't try on the serve because I have a shoulder injury but I think it would the same : you need to have a good technique, relaxed swings and you must be able to produce some power because the racquet does not give much power
among the racquets with a one hundred frame, rather versatile and forgiving, this one has a good mix between power and control, but with a feeling of control which is really present, it's clearly a bit control oriented. Pay attention to that.
I found the access to top spin very good
not a crazy access to top spin but really easy
thanks to 100 head size, the opened string pattern and the O3 tec
very good maoeuvrability despite the weight of 310 g
the balance at 31 cm helps to have a nice manoeuvrability and the thin profile also
the racquet is rather head light and the manoeuvrability is really fine
    Comfort
I felt the forgiveness for off centered shots was fine, once again, thanks to the 100 frame, the opened string pattern and the O3 tec
I also liked the comfort of the racquet, which is rather flexible and at the same time I didn't feel the frame bending when I hit the ball
I didn't have muted feelings, I saw it was reported by some testers but I didn't have that feeling
On the contrary I sometimes felt a bit of string vibrations but it didn't bother me
I really liked the comfort of the frame
I'd recommend this racquet to intermediate or advanced players
not to beginners because of the weight and it's a bit control oriented
players who don't put too much power and who play more with feel and precision
players with an aggressive top spin game because the control is good and the access to top spin also
often times, top spin oriented racquets are rather powerful, and this one provides a nice access to top spin and at the same time a good control
keep in mind that if you want to have some power, you need a good level, loose and relaxed swings because of the control provided by the racquet
who want racquet a bit heavy and at the same time head light and manoeuvrable
players looking for a comfortable racquet.

Thanks for all these good review. As a beginner choosing a racket is challenging, it seems that advise is always quite general. e.g. I am quite fit, 2m tall, 96 kg. Do I really need to start with the same racket as a non fit, 170cm person? I am now trying the Ezone 100. Quite nice, if I have time enough to prepare my shot I have to really swing in a relax way in order not to over power, or really try to play with a lot of spin to offset the power. When on the run the easy power of the racket comes in handy because my techniques for sure falters in those moments (I am a beginner after all). Nevertheless, my question to you is whether someone of my physique, even as a beginner, should go for a 'lightweight' powerful racket (as I feel the Ezone 100 is). Thanks.

Hi. Thanks for your message.I don't think I'll review that racquet. I'm not going to play during at least 6 months. When I start again, if I can review racquets, I think I'll focus on recent ones.

nice review mate!!! how would you compare this racquet with a speed pro? Im having arm issues with my old radicals, prestiges, and speed youtek...would like a confortable racquet with a bit of more power...

I find the speed pro easier, more powerful. Phantom is really control oriented. You could check the Wilson Clash also.

Very interesting. Another one to add to my growing list of racquets to test. Anyone able to comment on how it compares to Yonex VCore Pro (also 310g and headlight) and also the non O3 version of the 100X?

The phantom 100x 305 is my new raquet, im just trying to find the right string setup an the proper tension, im struggling with tennis elbow, but so far i can hit great volleys at net and angles with this string pattern, but you need to be able to generate your own power, maybe because i use to play with the Prince Textreme 100p (2015) and is more powerfull

Rather close in terms of power, maybe a bit more comfortable. Feeling is different due to O3.
