Hermitree’s design is really interesting to me: I don’t know what it’s called, but that rope and tassels around the trunk of Hermitree is from Shintoism and denotes a place or object that is sacred or blessed. However, in media, these ropes also act as a sort of repellent for evil spirits and things like rocks and trees that are believed to house evil spirits will have one tied around them to keep the spirit at bay. So, either Hermitree has one because its a sacred object, OR it has one because its possessed by an evil spirit.
I love using Princessprite in Vampires. There's a combo with Retainer, Familiar and Desire to summon this which keeps Retainer and Familiar from banishing themselves since they become XYZ materials. Plus, if you excavate a Zombie, it gets sent to grave. Then there's Zombie World turning Princessprite into material for Sucker.
Not really. Adamancipators don't actually utilize the excavate mechanic for them it's merely a restriction for their bonkers tuners, if they could remove the excavation from them and change nothing else they would only be better for it and their playstyle would be the same. For Sylvans on the other hand, excavation is integral to how the deck works, you could not simply "remove it".
@@spyro2002if you removed excavation then they literally couldn’t work because that’s not a restriction it’s their main mechanic for why they’re so good. Both of their excavations are integral and can’t be removed.
Risky but potentially useful tech card: Top Share. It's a normal spell that requires both players to pick a card from their decks, reveal it, then place them on top of the deck.
I'm not saying I hate sylvans but the fact that they won over nephthys, lunalights, and weather painters has shown once again that its the deck that you least expect that will most likely to win in fan polls
A good card for sylvans is chaos ruler because you can practically excavated for 5 and use the mulch effects of the sylvans and adding any light or dark extender to your hand
Sylvan still has a lot of potential, there's a lot of tech cards that can be used in the deck and a lot of different styles of builds, i have been testing the deck a lot and the build that looks most promising is Orea Fertilizer (basically focused on using Miracle Fertilizer and Archfiend's oath, alongside Orea which can return those cards to activte again) some tech cards that can be used include : -Therion engine -Predaplants engine (which includes adding instant fusion with darlington cobra and then using Ambulomelides + chlamydosundew + predaprunning to summon Dragostapella) -Mardel (can add any plant monster) -Evil thorn -Living Fossil (can revive evil thorn or lonefire and still resolve their effects if they tribute themselves) -Top Share (can place any card on the top of your deck) -White Rose Cloister (personally i think this card is a lot better than mount sylvania, mount sylvania is a -2 to place 1 card on the top of your deck, it's not a good play at all) -Reasoning (if excavated, good, if summoned, good too) -Parallel exceed + Rikka strenna -Rose princess (adds White Rose Cloister but it's still a plant, better than running terraforming) -Spore -Fengli the Soldrapom -Rikka princess -Snowdrop the rikka fairy Of course i don't recommend running all of them because then your consistency will just go to hell, you have to make some choices yourself
This archetype is like a twin of Naturia/s... they're good in excavating required resource for your strategy needs... in my opinion, it can be combo with Sunavalon/Sunvine, Rose Dragon, and other Plant related decks...

DO A D/D/D EXPLAIN VIDEO. D/D/D and Dark Magician are the 2 archetypes that I have been waiting for you to do since I first discovered your channel. I would love to hear your takes on the decks. Your channel always gives me new deck ideas to try. So keep up the good work.
Both those archetypes will get their day in the sun eventually! I know DM will definitely be a milestone video, but DDD will be at my future discretion. As for the Quasar Commander, there's not really a schedule for it. As long as the person with that role holds it, they can make a request every month, but if it ever becomes available, I'll be reaching out to the Discord to let everyone know!
Would it be possible to mix this archetype with Shaddolls? Both sets of cards want to be sent to the graveyard and Sylvans have a decent variety of attributes. What could go wrong?
It's got some synergy! It sucks that you won't get the Mulch effects off of sending material right to the grave with Shaddoll Fusion, but plants in grave means easy revival targets for Miracle Fertilizer!

I just remember the fun nonsense of Hardleg Joe's Rank up the Seventh One Sylvans, which is probably more plausible now with Barian Shark. Sylvans have so many fun gimmicks they can do!
I used to mess around with Sylvans in Duel Links all the time. Either way, I love this archetype! Since Special Summoning and working off the GY has become more crucial in this game, I feel Sylvans have some synergy with Plant Synchro. Along with Carrotweight, Plants like Rose Lover and Rose Girl can work off of the rigjt Plants hitting the GY.
Totally agree, I would argue it's one of Sylvan's biggest strengths! Any good generic plant support gets easily folded in, it's only a matter of time before their return!

Do you have any plans for an Abyss Actor explained video? They are one of my favorite archetypes out of the pendulum era with great design and play style. Plus I'm an actor too and it gives me great validation.
Sylvans I've sucked with these effects because I've never was good with my luck especially in duel links heck my lightsworns always mill my dragons judgement and punishment but question Nova how you feel about Card art which is your favorite and wish was animated I love Gizmeks

I've been dying to find a way to replicate this (ruclips.net/video/WsaSLCF4yoo/видео.html) in a Yu-Gi-Oh! fic, and Sylvans are perfect, especially since I was looking for Xyz archetypes for OCs! Mount Sylvania is the only archetypal card that'll interfere with the deck stacking, and that's easy enough to account for when scripting duels. This video really helped (what do you and Delilah [did I get her name right?] think of Cardfight!! Vanguard, especially the scene I'm linking to? Curious how that game comes across).

I REAAALLLY wish sometimes that he would calm down with the puns.....this arch-type has so much fun trivia, even in their GREAT artwork... it is almost a crime that he passed over it. So much fore-shadowing was placed in a lot of the cards for later cards in the arch-type. I AM NOT SAYING STOP THE PUNS BUT....COME ON.......one of my favorite arch-types was just done dirty.
I overall wish People would apprecaiate that more. I am a huge sucker for Lore Related things. For Big Universes like Duel Terminal or even in Archetypal Stuff like Geargia for example. The Main Reason why i am more of a collector than a Player.

You can also play chaos ruler synchro since its mill effect triggers sylvans
