A note I forgot to add into the video is that after getting the draw off of Supply Squad you can turn around and use it as a target to pop with Scrap Dragon to basically end up being a free card 😁
I'm thinking of the lore reasons that Scarps aren't machines. Maybe their types only count for the spirit that possesses the metal and not the metal parts themselves. Almost like the metal around them aren't gears and mechanics, but more like an armor for what's inside.
@@jesuschristthefirstjojo.7565 I'd compare them more to tsukumogami. Or in other words, Japanese yokai that are objects given life through certain means. With these guys, it'd be alot like possession.
I want to try this deck so bad in MD, for the artcard alone, its one of the coolest archetype design that also translate well to the main gimmick of the deck.
The deck does have an OTK using scrap goblin. The pure version can do this and even end on a board of wyvern, i:p, borreload savage, and a level 9 monster. Also, searcher can be used like level eater if done properly. I’ve through several iterations of this deck and found really fun and possibly competitive combos. If anyone wants my decklist or the basic core I use, let me know.
Fun fact: In spanish Scrap recycler on release was named Residue recycler so when scrap support came out they had to do a "frog the jam" to include recycler in all scrap support. Eventually they change it to scrap recycler so residue recycler is lost to history.
Scraps are by far my favorite archetype. I play them in MD and while they aren't the best deck run pure, I still really enjoy them. Now if only they had more than 2 playable in-archetype synchros...
I opened a lot of booster packs when I was a kid, I dug out my cards when I got back into Yu-Gi-Oh 2 years ago and turns out Scrap is the only deck I could make, I love 'em
I’m guessing it usually ends with ash blossom crushing your dreams. I hate hand traps as much as the next guy. Still waiting for called by to go back to three…Has to eventually.
There's a right nasty trick you can pull off with Scrap Searcher and Golem that I am surprised you didn't pick up on Searcher's second effect: "When this card is Special Summoned, destroy all monsters, except "Scrap" monsters." Golem's effect: "You can special summon a Scrap Monster to either player's field." Basically summon the bird to an empty space on your opponent's field, and watch every monster of theirs go pop. Then swing into your bird for massive damage. The OTK potential of this combo alone is ridiculous
Ah Scraps, my beloved. Got back into Yu-Gi-Oh during the start of pendulum era, before wyvern and raptor were part of the archetype. Many a fun game was held in the lunch hour me and my play group had.
One of my favourite OTK in the game is summoning Scrap Goblin in attack position on the ennemy board with Scrap Golem, and crash all of my board into it since it cannot be destroyed by battle =)
Does anyone know if “box of friends” would work in this deck or viscera It’s a machine that focuses on being destroyed, plus the synchros have generic materials
I once used scrap golem, to summon scrap searcher to my opponent's field every turn and then nuke six different gem knight fusion monsters over the course of one duel
Ok, here me out. METALFOES! Factory triggers upon ANY effect distruction and it cannot miss timing. You get Pendulum summon and you can use Golem's effect at least 3-4 times per turn.
I use Scrap Raptor in my Dueling Nexus Dinosaur deck in order to summon Dinowrestler Spinosavat. And with it being a level 4 tuner that is also a dinosaur is really good.
With Scrap Dragon and Red Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, you can use Scrap Dragon effect to pop itself and one of your opponents cards then you can bring it back with Red Eyes without losing card advantage
i may be at some mistake here, but the restriction of not be able to attack during the turn lube was activated, i believe is because of the special summon effect is worded. Since it doesn't say when this card is activated or have any form of once per turn, i assume you can special with it's effect as many times as you can.
Shoutout to the mini scrap engine I run in my Machina deck. 3 Recycler, 1 Golem, and 2 Wyvern. I can special Recycler and Citadel from deck using Urgent Schedule, summon Wyvern, special and pop Recycler and then special Citadel, pop a card and summon Golem from deck. So good, just don't put Golem in my hand.
@@NivramAxuf this is pretty close to exactly what I do in Chop Shop but I take it one step further in the combo. Plus Machina Redeployment is also access to Scrap Wyvern with Citadel setup! I actually love that play so much
DPE effect made me so mad. That card could literally be a lvl12 Scrap Synchro with the exact effect of DPE. That fusion is closer to Scrap Dragon retrain than anything in its archetype, but Konami isn't Konami if they don't give heroes their weekly support I guess
@@ianr.navahuber2195 the raptor being a dinosaure type, you can easily tuto or specisl summon him, - He can destroy a monster you control (especialy the baby dino to summon from the deck, or him to go into chimera) - Next, you can synchro with the two scrap, make a XYZ 4 or link summon the wyvern who revive and destroy one card on the field.
Every time I hear scrap, I am thinking about yugioh 5ds and the people of satellite , who work in the recycling factory. I wished there was a character, who was using scrap deck in the show.
Good video. But i disagree with the tech choices you made. Supply Squad seems nice but you will notice that playing board breakers, handtraps or more starters is way better than thinning your deck by 1, you can use it as fodder for the second wyvern effect but you almost always have a Factory to do so. Playing Recycler in a more pure version is kinda weird too because it claims a lot of spots in your deck because there are no in engine Scrap cards you want to send with him. Playing them as an engine in other decks is probably best but that's a bit boring as a answer. They can OTK very easily by themselves, Johnny Nguyen even topped with an OTK Scrap list 3 years ago. They can put an insane amount of material on the board and are really good at making Level 9 Synchros, Generic Links and sometimes even Rank 9's like Enterblathnir, Sacred Tree Beast, Hyperyton or Mereologic Aggregator. You don't actually want to play Floodgates because most of them stop yourself, the best generic Extra Deck options they have arent Earth Attribure and its pretty common to summon multiple Golems. The Dino stuff is cool but if you're going that route you might aswell play normal Dino. Best way to play them currently is probably with the Bystials, Kashtira Fenrir and Generic Synchros like Baronne, Crocodragon and Shenshen. There also is a cool Handloop version that consistently handloops for 4-5 but Tearlaments being the best deck right now makes this strategy unplayable.
