I to this day belive that i was the only player to ever discard geargia as a trap deck this format and play them as a combo conglomeration of machina-geargia-karakuri-generic machine monsters, utilizing soul charge and iron call. I adored this format, for alowing things like that to exist
Seems like a great era to play in; wish there was more interests in yugioh of this time specifically or maybe more generally the era of 2009-2014 (before pendulums)
great video! another relevant deck at the time was madolche btw, solidly tier 2-ish. chris leblanc used it to get him his win at ycs philly in the same format, although top 16 was draft
I wasn't the biggest fan of the HAT deck itself but the format had so many options. Think it has potential to gain popularity like edison has in the past year
Alsei was an absolutely amazing Rank 8 XYZ in general. Rank 8 Castel but kinda better. 3200 DEF. Not even a Star Eater can run over Alsei. I played 2 Alsei in Dark World during HAT format.
In is generally your typical Soul Charge matchup. Just make sure you have Maxx "C". That is by far the most important card. You very much go back and forth trying to break the opponent's board. I would consider Dark Hole reasonable as well.
Honestly one of my favorite decks I never got to play in it’s prime. But also how come no mention of the madolche deck? It was fairly popular throughout the 2014 format.
Fair. I never really went out of my way to put something in my side for that matchup - but it did Top 64 Nationals. I will include that in my future profiles.
@@YGOHistory I can totally understand forgetting about that deck since it was insanely bricky. But it is one of those decks that I feel wasn't either built right or played right during the 2014 summer
@@YGOHistory From what I've seen the best 3 decks are Infernity, Frogs and LS Rulers. The Frog deck is nuts. You just flip Trap Stun, then IRS a Ronin, Make Volc with the Des Frogs, pop something, then make Gaia, then use the Ronins to make Phoenix which lets the Gaia attack twice. Some builds even play Ojama Trio to ensure game.
Another high quality deck profile. I look forward to these. Really excited for frog ftk.
Awesome man!
I learned a lot from this vid. 💯
Thanks for explaining your choices and your reasoning behind your side during the tourney! 👌🏾

Sounds wild.
Finally 2014 Deck profiles😍
More on the way!
I've been looking forward to this one ever since you posted that match. This list is fire, great one.
Glad you enjoyed!
Been remote dueling and this is one of my favorite decks ever lol, thanks joe. Keep the legacy content coming!

Very fair. I will include it next time in the final portion of the video.

Easily. Amazing format.
I loved this deck. It was and probably still is my favorite. I wish it got more direct support.
For sure. I would love some new support. Symbol of Heritage with triple Lonefire is a start.
@@YGOHistory I mean you got your wish with the banlist right ha ha
I saw you in Pak’s blog today, what deck did you play at that tournament? Great video as always!
Invoked Dogmatika.
*16:54** - Orea, the Link monst- or, rather, the XYZ monster*
LOL
:o ooooh.... ive been looking forward to this one
pat actually did play angineer btw

How is the matchup with mermails. Asking as the Mermail player. What cards enhance the matchup in either’s favor?

Can you show more gameplay videos with this deck please?
I can try.

G3 starting at 25:50 is an especially memorable game.
I think this was the last format I was invested in, after this things started become a bit hard to follow plus other life stuff

@@Talls8 I did lose to it at the ARG 10K but it was my only interaction with the deck the entire format. I will definitely add it though.
Can this deck keep up with modern April 14 decks?
What do modern decks look like?

Can we get a profile of what you played at the tourney with pak? Haha
It was a very standard Invoked Dogmatika (with Schism) deck. Old format too.
