Ever since Dracoslayers, the effectiveness of One Monster archetypes has been Incredibly versatile, and downright destructive. Cause not only has it made deck building easier, it’s made the Meta almost dependent, cause now Albaz is coming out, and that Dragon Theme Superpoly deck is Downright Scary! I won’t lie, I love myself a lot of yugioh’s new and outlandish Archetypes. But ever since Sky Strikers. I love how this archetype is based on real-life Aleister Crowley. The man did peyote and summoned spirits. Aiwass was a spirit that gave him the Book of the Law, which is one of the central texts of Thelema, still practiced today.
Book of the Law is good for switching out the Invoked when your opponent changes the Board State (similar to and against Gladiator Beasts), also it can be combo'd with Invoke to bring out Elysium properly.
Normal Summon Aleister. Response? ............. ok, now that that's out of my system, I'll take a crack at Pure Invoked whilst splashing Dragoon, Phoenix Enforcer, and Rainbow Neos. Because nothing will ever go wrong in a deck with 9 garnets in it.
"Any of that sound familiar?" Oh please, what are you gonna tell me next? That Aliester Crowley secretly moved to Japan in order to create a city of science, where super-powers were invented?
An archetype that depends only on one main monster and three spells that creates an incredible monstrosity through INVOCATION... its a great engine for fusion based or make a deck complement with...
Nova something I will add on to this story the difference between Allister and albaz one tried to use fusion summoning to gain power for himself the other used fusion to use save there friends that's why I think albaz succeeds where alllister failed I just think it's fascinating how both are almost the same but different
I'm glad that it's not only me who thought how they are so similar yet so different. I guess having a waifu like Ecclesia, along with friends you can rely on, makes the difference?

I like using Invoked as my main archetype and supporting it with Element sabers. Their effects make it possible to make any fusion I need whenever I need it. I had no idea this was a thing in Duel Links either. I discovered it without playing that game.
I feel like playing an invoked element saber would be great as if your opponent doesn't have a monster of the element that you want the invoked monster for at that moment you can just activate the elementsaber effect and make it whatever attribute you need
my personal silly tech picks would have to go to Awakening of the Possessed and/or Dark Doriado, because getting a lot of attributes on the field at a time will buff your monsters insanely. whether you just filled your field with Omega Summon, or just have Elysium on the field, majority of your monsters just got a LOT of ATK points. Elysium, Awakening, and Dark Doriado all at the same time gives you 6200 attack points on just itself, while the rest of your monsters gain either 1800 or 3000 depending on their attribute i know this probably isnt optimal, i just like seeing big numbers :P
I splashed in Aleister and Invocation in my Witchcrafter deck in Duel Links, one of the easiest Purgatrio summons I've had. (Btw, Purgatrio's effect applies on monsters summoned during the battle phase too) on top of that, when coupled with DNA Surgery, you can use Verre's boost on it. Pretty scary.

I do love playing mask Change in my invoked deck because sometimes I end with a field that's just winda for summon limiting caliga for effect and battle limitations and dark law for search limiting and banishing and because they're all fusion monsters if they try to beat over 1 just use the the invoker for a stack and watch them fail at the only battle they get

I think Aliester is Albaz in a parallel universe. Either that or Aliester went through one of the portals he created ending up mutating and forgetting who he was and gaining ability to fuse. This can be seen to how he has 1800 atk similar to aliester of madness but losing the defense since he gained the fusion ability instead of defense.
I'm just scrolling through my RUclips feel and see this. Also, could the Witchcrafter lore take place before the Magistus lore? It would explain why Rilliona is older than Witchcrafter Verre.
The Magistus cards tie together and are canonically taking place before Endymion, Witchcrafter, Spellbook, and Invoked. Over time it seems the Magistus gang had a falling out. Endymion and Artemis, who later changes her name to Selene, seem to get married and rule over the Magical Citadel. Rilliona somehow deages herself and starts up her workshop, goes by the name Verre, takes on apprentices, and creates the golem Aruru. Crowley gets involved with Aiwass who gives him the Book of the Law. He then changes his name Aleister and goes on a summoning spree only to get corrupted (his madness form) and eventually mutate into Invoked Caliga.
