  • Review of an Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger (P/N 1588) system on a 2012 Mustang GT. The Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger for 2011-2014 S197 Mustang GTs with the Coyote engine features Eaton TVS 2300 rotors in a unique configuration that puts the blower low in the valley. Installation is straightforward, but we cover the highlights.

    I have the same setup on my car, but a 3.25 pulley on my stock 11. It made 532/488 with a brenspeed tune and kb boostapump.

      Nice! Once I build the motor with better rods, I'm going to start pushing the boost on this one.

      @@Mustang-Geek same plan for mine. Brenspeed told me a 3.25 pulley is about 9psi and the most boost that would be safe for the stock rods.

      @@steibz3262 Oh, totally. I'm saying once I have better rods, THEN it's time for smaller pulleys. Heck, I didn't want to even put the 3.25 on it until I had better rods. REbuilding a motor is expensive. Building a BROKEN motor is MORE expensive, right?

    Seems a little underpowered, good video however. Gen1s can take up to 600wheel pretty happily on pump gas. I believe a good tuner and maybe a little smaller pulley will do the trick.

      Yes, this is with a 50-state tune, stock pulley, etc. We're gong to fortify the engine with better rods and pistons, do smaller pulley, and start squeezing more power out of this combination. There's A LOT more in it!

      Is the pulley on these blowers just as easy to switch out just as a traditional TVS?

    Wouldn't the intercooler being directly in front of the radiator cause overheating issues?

      Not necessarily. The intercooler heat exchanger is pretty cool relative to the radiator. We didn't experience any decrease in cooling ability.

    What throttle body is used here? stock? can larger 85, 90mm be used?

      The stock throttle body is used, and the opening on the blower matches it. You could probably use a larger throttle body and port the casting to match, but I doubt it's worth the effort for two reasons 1) unless your tuner has proper, OEM-level throttle body flow data, you could have drivability problems, and 2) The rest of the supercharger inlet may not support the flow of a larger throttle body either. In other words, I'd keep the stock throttle body, and if you want more power, use a smaller pulley. Even at 10 PSI (video coming soon), this blower is hardly working. This thing can support HUGE power if you have a built engine and fuel system to match.

    I have basically the same kit on my 2007 F150 5.4. It makes a screeching noise under boost. The guy I bought it from said its always been like that. I personally think its belt slip. I dont mean blower whine. Does yours make any such noise besides the whine under boost?

      My blower does not make any such noise. There's not even much blower noise because it uses the stock air box. I'd suspect belt slip.

    Reaching top horsepower with the factory connecting rods? Don't tell my 2011 GT with the same blower, but 10psi pulley.......

      I could probably push it, but building a running engine is cheaper than building a broken one.

    Every vid I see of these are in the 500-550whp range which Im not liking... I'd love to see one making 600+ whp.

      This is on a Mustang chassis dyno, so I'd imagine on a dynojet it might "make" more power.

      @@Mustang-Geek I definitely think you'll break 600whp+ With just a pulley and another tune. Its just I cannot find anyone whos doing this lol I just got one traded my paxton for it and I'm hoping to make 600-700whp with just a simple 3.25 id1050 injectors and BAP. Lund is confident I can get mid - high 600's

    A “Massive 86hp” for a 185lbs extra on the nose!?! Since when is the limit for the stock connecting rods 452 rwhp??? This is a Coyote 5.0.....isn’t it? That sounds like a 3valve thing....... Not impressed at all. That’s $70 per hp. You could spend $6000 on NA mods and a good tune, and be --way-- further ahead.

      Glad you liked the video! Sorry you're not impressed. I'd like to hear about which NA mods that cost $6000 will net you 452 wheel horsepower (on this dyno, that's 545 flywheel HP). We did this in a weekend, the car drives like stock, and we didn't need a custom tune. Also consider that after we build the motor with better rods, we'll be turning up the boost to get 650 horsepower...and more.

      @@angelo_giachetti We've just begun with this blower. There's a LOT more left in it. If you're looking for high dyno numbers, a lot of blowers will get you that. but the intercooler setup of this blower means it'll be more efficient at higher boost levels.

      @@Mustang-Geek my 18 intake, pmas Cai, exhaust, and tune gen 1 coyote made 434 wheel. There's many supercharged gen 1 coyotes making 650 wheel with stock internals

    you didn't have a paper air filter. you had a different intake manifold and a conical filter. Also 7psi is nothing for a coyote

      in stock form it is you fools think this engine is a 50k race engine its not !
