Recently purchased a 2013 GT that had a Ford Performance supercharger installed when it was brand new. The previous owner gave me the ProCal unit, and I can’t seem to figure out the Launch Control. I press down on the brake and ho,d in the + but it won’t cycle. I even went ahead and plugged in the ProCal and went through all the steps, left it in, and tried getting to set my launch, nothing. Not sure what the missing piece of the puzzle is, but any help is appreciated. I’d love to play with the launch control to help out at the track. My car is a manual, thanks.
Hey LMR, do you know if this is any different than the 11-12 Ford Performance calibration. I assume this wouldn’t work on an 11, but they seem similar.
Ford Performance used to offer M-FR1-MGTB, but they discontinued it. For whatever reason, they never offered the calibration by itself for 11-14 GT cars. Instead, they just have the Track Cal for 13-14 manual equipped GTs. The reason for the specific year range is due to the steering wheel controls for the Launch Control and Pit Lane Speed Control features. Hope this helps. -Landan
When you disable the trac cal features at startup, you still get the added benefit of the hp and torque increase correct? I'm not really into the lopey idle.
So who do I contact about this issue?: When I'm in 2nd or 3rd and I slow down to a stop before going up my driveway curb, I put it in neutral to shift into 1st and it dies in neutral. It's done this randomly like 4 times in a couple months.
@@latemodelrestoration it's curious because the car only has 30k miles and it never did this until after I installed the procal tune. Doesn't do it when I remove it. 🤔
I'm a 2013 Boss 302 owner. What is the difference with this Cal Tuner Vs. the Boss Track Key Tune? Could I use this Cal tune on my Regular Gray Key and still keep my Red Track Key Tune? Or would that just be redundant?
Hi Joey, this calibration will only work on GT's. It is not applicable to the Boss 302, unfortunately. Both feature the lopey idle but the track cal will also provide driver functions such as launch control and pit speed control.
Unfortunately, it will not work with cat deletes or long tube headers. With all the exhaust laws in place, I would suggest you contact your local custom tuning company. Most email custom tuning companies no long tune for off-road exhaust.
Ok thanks. Also if you have the pro cal installed already and then you have an engine code will you have to fix the code before the tune will work again?
If you go with a custom tune, you will have to remove the Pro-Cal unit from the vehicle altogether. If any codes pop up, you will need to address the code to see what is wrong.
I did. "Brembo wheels" is a phrase commonly used in the Mustang community when referencing the style of wheels that are on the car in the video. -Landan
This part has been discontinued. The video can still be used for technical reference. -Landan
Purchased from LMR. Very satisfied with all aspects of this tune.

Did you ever figure it out? Same issue with my 2013.
@@Brute5o I did. I called Ford Performance, and they advised that this is bogus. No launch control for this year.
@@christianeshelman8195 thank you! 🤟
Will the lope idle affect the smog? California emissions? Would it make it not pass smog?
No. The Track Cal is 50-state legal. -Landan
I have just a track key in my 2014 Gt is this the same thing or do I have something completely different

I installed this and had the correct fuel (91 octane) for the tune but got pinging?

Yes. The performance gains are permanent unless the calibration is removed and the vehicle is returned to stock. -Landan

I would contact your local Ford dealership or a trustworthy mechanic. That sounds like a transmission issue. -Landan

Do these features come with Procal with 6r80?
I have the identical car, color, brembo/trackpack etc.. same kit but with muffler delete and o/r H-pipe... could i safely assume im 400rwhp?

Cool thanks man
does this work on an automatic car ?
As mentioned at 01:47, this will only work with manual transmission 2013-2014 Mustang GTs. -Landan
